I really liked the mechanic of the game. Level design was decent and I also had fun. Good work!
The html version does not load.
Cool idea, using the spacebar for specific interactions that loop is a neat vibe. Good job!
Great game! Maybe you could have been clearer as to when the loop ends and starts again, but overall it's fun, with a nice mood, and lovely graphics. Good work!
This game is super fun! There are of course things to improve upon such as saving the state of the game and perhaps a gentler learning curve (though I admit I suck at videogames), but still it is an impressive game for the time given to create it. I instantly fell in love with the quirky PC and all the lovely original sprites used in this submission. The particles, lights and intentional glitches give the game a really professional touch and are the cherry on top of a well constructed project, good job!
A great game! I personally loved all the computer jokes :D The only criticism I have is that the main menu background is a bit weird and doesn't seem to fit, but apart from that it's great.
This was really fun! I loved peter, he was a very fun character! I did encounter a small bug where I got the box stuck on the other side of the door (reset fixed this). Very nice job!
Nice Job, i like the concept. I think you could make the level design a little more clear, some space are a leap of faith. overall great job!!
I loved the concept in this game. Also, does Peter Carlson's last name have anything to do with Dani's Karlson?
So much fun. I liked the mechanics, the graphics, and the experience in general. Success.
Good concept and effects haha
I didnt see problems in gameplay, the controls worked very well.
@nailuj29-gaming There is no conexion between both Carlson, although I also watch dani's videos and know the game.
Well I was going to catch up on sleep tonight after the busy weekend of jamming, but then I started playing Peter Carlson... This is super fun, and I don't usually have patience with games that I have to die and try over and over so much. This is a lot of content for a jam, too. I like the little animations, and I like the bricks. It's a good ramp-up of difficulty. I actually almost gave up on it at first because I didn't understand the actions (what the symbols meant, and that walking isn't an action though jumping is), but I'm glad I figured it out. This is a great game!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Thank you all for your kind feedback. This is my first gamejam and it feels amazing to see the ammount of comments we're getting!
Good job, it's a great little game.
Super cute. Will play more.
For a game with such polished dialogue, it still fails to clearly show the core game mechanics. Consider using something else than text to show the mechanics properly, like a couple of tutorial level sections. Great stuff otherwise!! Cute!
Very Interesting game! I love the art and the sound when PC is walking
It took me a while to figure out what was happening with the game mechanics, but when I finally did I was having fun. Really great graphics and idea.
An interesting mechanic of being given a set of inputs and having to figure out how to use them. A think a slightly zoomed-out perspective might have been helpful: there are a lot of blind jumps that mean starting over if you don't get them just right on the first try.
Really like the mechanic you guys thought of! I can see the potential the difficulty of a puzzle platformer with this. I liked the visual effects you guys added for death and the dashes, made it feel really satisfying (w/ the sound effect too!). I will say though that some of the sfx in the game was very loud and kind of jarring ex: speech and dying. Great job it was fun to play and interesting to see the thought process for the puzzles of the level.
@overlook-studios Thanks for the comment, I am very proud of the sfx, especially the speech one. The volume of the sounds have not being tested, we just slected a default volume for all of them because we were running out of time.
Interesting mechanics, great graphics and arts, this game will go to many peoples!
Great humour, art and a really creative and unique interpretation of the theme.
I enjoyed the conversation by peter quite a lot! the platforming was pretty solid and i liked the sound effects!
This was an awesome game! Great job! Very cute characters. Great dialog. Great sound effects. Great effects actually. And this was unique. I like how I'm looking ahead to what my next operations are going to be.
Best game i played this Jam so far. everything is just lovely about this game. Controls are a bit chunky though...
very cute and good looking art, the "voice"/bib go very annoying really fast for mi and i think it would be great if there where a way to see where you could fall without die, example place water at the holes where you would die. It was a smart way to use the looping mechanic to turn a platformer in to a puzzle hybrid. overall this is a greet entry.
Game very well done, I liked the fun provided, good job!
A very interesting gamedesign idea with quite funny dialogues!
And congratulations for the level design!
Among a small suggestion of improvement it would be a "zoom out" of the map to "apprehend" the path more by reflection (in my opinion)
Great concept, I had a lot of fun :)
Awesome!
That's an interesting idea, and even though I'm not a huge fan of such games, I actually like the fact that you're spending your health bar for each loop iteration.
I'm not into platformers as well, but the idea is indeed something new, that's cool. Of course, if I had to choose, I'd pick to play any shooter instead, but it's great for a beginner for sure. Hopefully, one day I'll read about your games on cyber sport news on [Cyber-Sport](https://cyber-sport.io/) or any other e-sports blog because you definitely have the potential, so keep going!
