other than letting them out of the jar and feeding them to make them bigger/reproduce you don't have much influence over the cute little buggers, there's no way to keep them from escaping the table is there? i couldn't do anything with the tools? it's very impressive !
Fun to see a VR game in a game jam! I liked the environment that you were able to create here, and the design of the fluffballs is fantastic. I found it quite difficult to influence them in any meaningful way, sometimes they seemed predictable and many other times they seemed to ignore whatever I tried to do. One of my favorite inclusions was the nailgun, I had more fun seeing what things I could stick together then wrangling the fluffs. In the end I think that the highest score I got was just by letting them do their own thing in the yard and just following one around with a plank to block it when it got near the fence. Overall well done!
I was really bad at it, but love the idea of a VR gamejam :) Good job!
Any chance you could make an APK that I could install on my Oculus Quest?
@eli-delventhal working on it! Should be up in an hour or two- dusted off my Quest 1 and waiting for it to charge haha.
Quest and Vive Focus 3 builds added for anyone with one of those. ( @eli-delventhal )
You won't get the fancy controller rendering as that's a whole bag I didn't want to get into with UnityXR haha.
@shadowbrain awesome I'll give it a try today! If I don't post feedback here soon, please @ me to remind me. I made a VR game last LD and I know how hard it is to find players.
Really fun games, I was running around my room trying to find things to trap the little guys. Inevitably they kept breaking them and ran off. I am not sure if there is some rhyme or reason to how they move, but I found it difficult to figure out how to capture them. A bit more signposting could offer the player something to reason with.
Fun to see a VR game entered! Those little fluffballs are very cute! :D

yeah! you must do it in VR!
Love seeing a VR game in a jam. I recommend adding some background music. My method was to get down to just one fluffball and then stack flowerpots/jars on it. After that, corner it by the supply building and [attempt to] build it a house. com.ShadowBrainGames.Herdey-20220409-190000.jpg I survived almost exactly 1000 seconds

Arrived here from Chernobyl Simulator, exciting to check out another VR game.
Those little guys are adorable! It's actually amazing how convincingly lifelike they seem in the headset with the way they move. The fur is also really cool, is that a custom shader?
I couldn't figure out if the tools were meant to do something or are just a concept for extending the game, that would be a cool feature. Also I never found a key for the instruction book if one exists.
One minor nitpick, I finally downloaded and installed WinRAR to unpack the files, but before this I'd skipped a lot of games because they were in .rar format and wouldn't be surprised if other people do the same. ZIP format is maybe a little less optimal but doesn't need any special software to unpack on Windows so might slightly widen the audience for jams (although, the VR audience is probably already pretty narrow haha).
Amazing work, so cool to see a VR game built in such a short time.
Also for anyone else reading, please give @shadowbrain extra kudos! They've been helping other devs get their games running on SteamVR, really cool to see in this community.

Great to see VR entries! I thought I had defeated the game design by herding one of them into the shed, only to discover that counted as escaped... Great take on the theme. Using the tools to build makeshift enclosures around them made this stand out more than if it was just dropping objects in their path. Keeping them slow and fat seemed to be the way to go. Really easy to keep the final one alive when it is big.
