LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Way of the Dodo by chrismcmath 2018-12-06T16:31:10Z

Nice looking and fun game with great audio and a cool premise. Unfortunately the controls felt quite unresponsive and I got stuck when my dodo fell down a hole with a danger sign and then just kept respawning above the pit and falling to it's doom.

Cultist by Pyrate 2018-12-04T16:43:23Z

Great game concept and the map was amazing. I survived 10 rounds. An ide could be to have 2 steps of blessing so you can feel a bit safer that you have it.

Superesse sum sacrificium by LogFlames 2018-12-04T16:56:52Z

Really good game, I love the animations and graphics. The gameplay was good but the spinattack is probably to weak and the dash is way to good as a result of the pathing. Ranged enemies or them going for the alter as well might fix this as otherwise you can only run away and charge stamina to charge them. Another good thing would be to make health and stamina regen faster when your speeding up time as it otherwise hurts you. I made it to wave 7.

Space Patrol 72 by jan5366x 2018-12-05T17:04:29Z

Liked that gameplay quite a lot and the music was good. The ide of sacrificing things for the power-ups was good but it was hard to make an informed decision as you didn't really know what they would do before you took them and at least I didn't know what half the things that popped up did or how to how impactful they were.

Please Player by Noa Calice 2018-12-06T16:09:48Z

That was really fun and the voices were amazing (even though i killed them all lol).

Bloodgold: Sunken Treasure by BinarySpark 2018-12-04T20:24:58Z

This was a fun game that I really enjoyed. The graphics were awesome, there was a good amount of content and the mechanics felt good. I thought that the first 2 levels might have been a bit to easy but then the difficulty bumped up on 3 and 4. I experienced a bug were my axe disappeared for a while on level 3 or 4 (not sure).

Death of Sultan Murad by kr4ft3r 2018-12-05T16:41:36Z

I loved the story we got and I really enjoy history which gives this game a huge plus. Would definitely revisit if you completed it.

Chopping Block by speakertone 2018-12-05T16:51:20Z

Great puzzle game and the mechanics felt solid.

Pyew by Hystaf 2018-12-05T18:17:07Z

Beautiful graphics but I really struggled with the controls and some kind of tutorial would have been nice

Bloodless by Wojciech Bruski 2018-12-06T16:50:28Z

The voice over, music, story and intro/otro was great. It was nice that you got a sound effect when hitting an enemy but my dash didn't seem to work. Also some kind of effect when you killed an enemy would have been nice, when I killed my first one I thought it was a bug as it just vanished.

Torontifornia! by NDHR Productions 2018-12-04T20:02:37Z

I thought the game was quite good and I enjoyed my time though also quite unbalanced. This was because it was almost always better to use the cheep soldiers if the numbers on the tooltip were correct. Also because the cap was so low it was almost always better to just wait for the soldiers to die instead of killing the. Finaly, where was the ICE CREAM ;).

Space Hopper by Tom Robson 2018-12-04T15:44:43Z

Quite fun game, I enjoyed the music and the slinging was fun. If you take to long on a level the music stops. Also, if you run out of jumps you just have to wait until the timer runs out which is annoying.

The Devil's Grind by Hakita 2018-12-05T16:33:50Z

The music and overall feel of the game was amazing and I enjoyed the gameplay though it felt like you were just rolling a die for the combat. A small complaint is that the instruction page was quite hard to read du to the combination of a moving background with other text and a font that was a bit hard to read. Otherwise great work!

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-04T16:22:39Z

Sorry, I know I suck at music but at least you can mute it by pressing M

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-05T16:22:32Z

Thanks for the constructive feedback @thecritterscove

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-05T17:05:19Z

Thank you @codesity

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-05T18:08:49Z

How long did you play @taddl? There is a cap but you only hit that after 15 min. I do agree that you should be forced to lose at some point but I didn't have much time when balancing it and though it was more important balancing it I d to make sure that people didn't die the first thing they did.

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-05T20:08:01Z

@gorka Thank you, I knew you could go on infinitely but was short on time and prioritised people not having to hard of a time in the beginning. You are right about the stone as well but don't we all have tons of stuff we don't have time to put in

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-06T18:07:48Z

Thank you @crosenlund79, should be fixed now. Also what did you say that you could see. My danish/Norwegian is not very good (am Swedish).

Sacrificial City by Glassar 2018-12-06T21:02:28Z

Good suggestion @kr4ft3r about the color change

Tale of Nowheria by XCVZXC 2018-12-04T17:19:57Z

I really liked the art style but collectathons are unfortunately not my thing

Wanyudo Island by PurpledArtFrog 2018-12-07T17:23:05Z

Fun game though I had to use my first play through to learn what was going on. A small ti would be to increase the size of the people as I had a hard time clicking on them and therefor didn't realised you could sacrifice them until I almost died on my third try. Great game for your first game.

Sacrifice Yourself by Weiiswurst 2018-12-04T16:28:18Z

Fun concept, especial the ide of sacrificing attack for hp, but I had trouble with the movement and the background was irritating my eyes. More feedback when you attack and get hit would be good and maybe the ability to move backwards so you can hit the enemies while dodging their attacks.

Dungeon of Friendship by captainweeaboo 2018-12-04T19:43:43Z

Great game, I really enjoyed my experience. There is however an exploit where one character can get all the debuffs.

Be The Bridge by Codesity 2018-12-05T17:11:12Z

Cool game ide but I really struggled with not being able to choose the part that comes off. Could definitely be something to build of.

Village Cultist by Taddl 2018-12-05T18:29:46Z

Nice graphics but the absence of music and the quite dull main gameplay loop of collecting villagers made me not want to continue and explore the praying mechanic.

Eartheors by MrRyzen 2018-12-06T16:19:39Z

I thought that the ide was great and that most of game the gameplay was good. What I struggled with was what everything did and how it effected stuff so some more feedback on your actions would have been good.

Destination - Mars by Cricket 2018-12-04T16:21:19Z

Really cool ide, I enjoyed the art style a lot and your justification for now sound was brilliant. I did have a lot of trouble with geting thrown back to mission start when trying to scavenge which stopped to finishing the game.

Damn Grinches by adriagonzalez 2018-12-04T15:35:01Z

I really loved the music, it was fantastic and the art and mood was also really good. The hit boxes where a bit wonky and I had the same infinit present bug as above. Great first LD game.

Running through the underworld! by sadzanenyama 2018-12-05T17:28:37Z

The commentating on this was bloody amazing. Also great tutorial. The final boss fight fealt a bit wierd as I was more scared of the birds than the devil. Great game.

Battling Madness by Sykoo 2018-12-06T16:02:12Z

Great graphics as always and the sound design was also great. Some music would have been nice and the game felt a bit to easy if you took reversed controls twice which ment you got huge attacks and normal controls meaning that I almost never saw any enemies.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Don't Scratch That Itch by Local Minimum 2024-10-10T17:59:52Z

This was a very weir experience, but also really well pulled of. The music really complemented the tone and the tiny creatures were on point

Fluto by pataya 2024-10-08T11:29:51Z

I am really impressed with the audio in this, the fact that all the Oompets create a nice tune in any combination is very cool. And I also found the graphics cute and effective, and enjoyed the simple gameplay.

Buzzzy Buzzy Beez by jeroenpx 2024-10-08T18:31:23Z

Very impresive graphics, and a cozy nice game. Would have been cool with a few more things to spend honey on but time is thing

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-08T15:42:14Z

@eugen-rantev @martynas-dargis Thank you for playing. And your right that having no corss hair made it really hard to aim. We were aiming for a no hud game for more atmosphere but we should have telegraphed where you are aiming better.

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-08T15:43:33Z

@emilija-marija @martynas-dargis I improvised all the music at my piano, happy you liked it.

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-08T20:29:53Z

@shp You can change the sensitivity by holding down tab. Or is it still to high even at the lowest setting?

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-09T15:13:43Z

Thank you so much for the kind words @jemh2k and @sviborg, really happy you enjoyed it

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-09T20:05:39Z

I have now added a windows build @gametrodon, @mikeandtherest and @shadowbrain. Hope that runs better for you. And there are a few stuters when you begin the game, it is shaders compiling and won't happen the second time or if you just look around a bit before exiting the door. Could probably have made a loading screen for that, but game jam

Don't Wake me Up by Glassar 2024-10-19T09:01:52Z

@mardood Its shaders compiling which is unfortunately something we haven’t been able to fix. Should just be those initial spikes and then fine after that and ideally we would have hidden it behind a loading screen. But we didn’t have time to do that

Whiskerbrink by OrdiNeu 2024-10-11T19:09:09Z

This was really excellent and surprisingly hard in a good way. And very impressive work for managing so much content and interactions in just 3 days with only 2 people. Well done

Morsel by SvenErik 2024-10-08T11:37:39Z

Beautiful graphics and nice sound track. Cool upgrade system but never figured out what the difference between the resources was. Also great to have instructions and settings in game

Will It Run? by UseCondsomsKid 2024-10-08T18:53:28Z

Very impressive work coding it from scratch in C. Had trouble figuring out the syntax and wasn't entierly sure what in my code was incorrect, or why it suddenly was correct. Would have wished for some form of message what was wrong, but I realise thaty is way out of scope for a game jam. Really cool and creative idea and considering what you attempted for a game jam, very well done

RomAnts by Douwe_Ravers 2024-10-08T18:36:58Z

Extremly impressive work for 48 hours. Well done with getting both 3d graphics and a somewhat working rts game going

Pan-galaxy!!! Deadly Beasts Obstacle Course Grand Prix by Lunch 2024-10-08T11:12:41Z

I really enjoyed the atmosphere, animations and sounds of this game. You really get the feel and mood of an arena across and I loved the artstyle. The controlls could have been explained better, or at least on this or the itch page. And I was never really sure how you actually succed at jumping the rocks, sometimes I did and other times not.

Also can you win in any way or is it only survive for as long as possible?

walking pet by MegaHana 2024-10-10T18:10:33Z

Took me a while to figure out how to pet the cat, and kerberos summoning new pets definetly put a spanner in the works. But really nice game, bopping sound track and really pretty art

Catacombs by Soul Grinder 2024-10-09T15:00:07Z

Really loved the game over screen  Well done with the mood and atmosphere, and I enjoyed the music. Any specific reason we are hunting mice? Are we the dungeon pest controll

🐾 The Toads Guardian by Natahan 2024-10-08T19:03:17Z

A really well executed concept with nice art and animations and an enjoyable gameplay loop. And an impressive number of levels, taht's usually where I fall short with game jams, 90 % on mechanics and assets and then scrambling to get content together

Dshniidawl Woods by Kalbshack 2024-10-08T15:52:08Z

That was a really cute litle game. And I really wan't to praise the creative health and mana "bars"

Hemogoblins! by MeedasGuy 2024-10-09T15:12:06Z

Made it to wave 56 when my piercing strategy ran into too many enemies and just started leaking massivly. This was a superb tower defence game and I love the name. The core gameplay loop was fantastic, took me a while to figure it out, then thought I had it solved before finally being overwhelmed. And while the art and sound wasn't anything stand out it did it's job and I do prefer having a good gameplay loop and enough content.

Well done

Domohavoc by Alexandru Barbanoua 2024-10-09T14:54:14Z

Fun mix of 2d and 3d, any specific reason to run it in 3d when everything is in 2d?

Cosmic Themes by AweSkyBear 2024-10-10T18:22:59Z

Unfortunatly woudn't load for me, and I have quite a hfty computer. Tried both chrome and edge

Cosmic Themes by AweSkyBear 2024-10-11T18:20:47Z

@aweskybear now it worked. And that was certainly an experience :stars: That was impressed with the galaxy, and the story was entertaining if slightly har to read with white on white in the middle. And I think you undersell the muisc, while not fatastic it was atmospheric and well timed to the story

Jacob's Ladder by Kekyr 2024-10-08T08:05:20Z

I like the graphics and animations, and the surprise scream was a fun. But the controls are difficult and it didn't feal like the game had any stakes

Small Problems To Grapple With by Tetracold 2024-10-09T15:20:12Z

The artstyle was really cool and super well executed, well done. And I really enjoyed the gameplay, grappling hooks are fun

Frame Wizards 2 by AlezJL 2024-10-08T08:19:34Z

I like a lot of what you have made, the graphics and music is nice and I'm impressed with the main mechanic. But I had some issues with the right click not working and also stacking summons made them z clip.

Chicken Run by Jack12342 2024-10-08T15:38:14Z

Never managed to get to the end, got stuck in the vents. But was really funny when you got spotted by a guard while in the went and they just ran through the wall to get you

Druid's Friends by Risminator 2024-10-09T14:49:44Z

Nicely done, very cute game and a really good simple music track that doesn't get anoying while looping

La Révolution Francheese: Bonamouse by MrBananaz 2024-10-10T17:55:52Z

Has been said before but your banner is amazing. ANd your game delivers on that feal

Ant Conquest by Dylanlemcke 2024-10-10T18:33:20Z

SUper impressed with this, a full playable game with a very innovative gampley loop. And a full music player on top of that

Ants! by Emilija Marija 2024-10-08T11:20:36Z

Really well made for your first game jam.

I really enjoyed this, the music is simple but very effective and catchy (smart to focus on a short loop that works multiple times and doesn't get annoying). The graphics are simple but effective and the gameplay was surprisingly fun.

And I loved finding the ant poison easter egg.

For anyone having troubble running the game trye the github pages link, that worked for me

TRAP-EM by JawshyDawg 2024-10-08T16:00:30Z

I really liked the tiny creature pen with them running around after you captured them. Also what is supposed to happen wen you get 3 of each?

In the Depths by Zebonny 2024-10-10T18:18:35Z

Got stuck waiting on the intro a bit too long  Overall a nice little game, you got the feeling of being under water across really well.

Tiny Terrors by ArtAllester 2024-10-10T18:04:51Z

Really nice first game. The music and art was great, and you really managed to put in a flot of features. Would have been nice for the gun to point at the mouse but time is allways a thing

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Dastard's Dungeon by MattDahEpic 2018-04-29T21:11:29Z

Relly cool concept

Dodge The Bullet by Apace 2018-04-23T11:29:45Z

Really fun game though I had some problem moving around in the menu

Just Like The Day We Met by Zinkler 2018-04-23T12:39:06Z

Great game, best one yet. Really cool combination of genres
