Great arstyle!
Really nice game, very good graphics and I loved the sound design. The color palette and artwork is incredible and set a really nice, dense atmosphere. The heartbeat was also a really nice touch. I was a bit overwhelmed by the tutorial but the game is very self explanatory, so no problem there.
I think the music loop could be longer and I purchased so much attack power that I had no problem staying alive so some balancing could be done, but a really fantastic game overall, especially for a one person game :)
@hangovergames Thanks! @initialposition Yeah, the "tutorial" was added in when I was already kind of out of it thanks to work. I am rather bad at music & sounds, so even that short loop took a long time haha. Thanks for the kind words!
Beautiful art and great atmosphere! I also think the gameplay is very fun. A very nice mix of clicker-like games and rpg! I really think this has potential to be turned into a full game :)
The art is fantastic and I love the monster designs. Its what drove me to play in the first place so great job! I would have liked a resource display in the shop, and I would have liked it if the text when you initially engorge lasted a bit longer.
Cool art and this heartbeat is THE ESSENCE for the vibe - to hear it is such a great idea for the game. Really want to have the shop screen above the action screen without hiding resources, would be such an elegant decision I think.
Unique style is the highlight, feels good to slap other tiny creatures around, get more points and slap em a bit harder. Good base for a (auto)clicker game.
Ambience is really good! Very polished entry, good job!
Nice overall graphics and sounds. The game itself made me wanna play again and again. Fun
This is quite an interesting mini-game! It would be even more fun if it were polished a bit more, with additional attack options and extra items.
Professional art design and an excellent game framework. Looking forward to the full version (if there is one).
Now those are nice sprites, congrats for the pixel art !
Really enjoyed this one, a lot of content in here. I really love a clicker and it hit all those right spots for me. Great jam!
Beautiful graphics and nice sound track. Cool upgrade system but never figured out what the difference between the resources was. Also great to have instructions and settings in game
Like everyone before me has had said, absolutely beautiful looking game. The palette together with the music creates a really unsettling atmosphere with the sound of the heartbeat really driving it home. Bonus points for including some nice and simple instructions and settings. Great job!
I really liked this game! It's awesome!
OMG! This game is amazing! Loved the artstyle and gameplay is a bit addictive, wish there was more.
@spritesurge Thank you! @spicedfudge Thanks! Yeah, I had that initially but when I remade the shop I forgot to add it back in hahaha.
@waterflow I agree on that, thanks!
@merdeboi @tiberiusuciu @og-theo @lunch @yayagame @atn @wisstopher @hajpappan @kirass @wimblebimble Thanks a lot!
@glassar Just the upgrades cost different resources, had a bigger plan for them, but didn't manage to implement it in time. Thankie~
Amazing art style! The resource for upgrades is a bit confusing, but overall, it already has a great framework. Really looking forward to the full version
Additionally, if each resource and various values could have corresponding icons, and if all tasks needed in the game could be completed on the same page (instead of switching back and forth), it would feel even better. Overall, great job! Especially considering the game was made by just one person.
Love the whole vibes - graphic, colors, and that heartbeat playing in the background is giving everything! A great game!
very very cool game, cool implementation
Wow, what a cool game! I loved the artstyle and overall vibe. The gameplay is simple but fun. I managed to beat the final boss with about five upgrades still left to unlock. My only issue is the shop’s slightly clunky UX. Great job!
This is an interesting and unique take on the theme. It would be nice to be able to see your resources in the upgrades screen so you don't have to switch back and forth. Also, in terms of resources, idk if it's bad RNG on my side, but it feels like Essence is too hard to get for something that's so basic on so many Upgrades. It would be nice to get some more control over what you do, instead of just clicking and hoping you get the resources you need. Anyway, the graphics look great and the idea is super interesting, and I think a more expanded version of this game would be really cool! Like a dungeon crawler but the dungeon is a body. Great work!
Very nice art and UI! Love it. Good job!
A nice clicker game especially your graphics are great. I think in the Upgrades panel it would be nice to also see your current resources. Also some special moves could make it more interesting.
The concept, style, and palette are super cool! Only thing for me is that the game froze upon the victory screen and couldn't exit out :O Good luck with updates!
Absolute fantastic art design with suitable musics. I really like the theme that you pick when everybody else picked insects as the theme, very unique idea. Based on that, the game just well combined all the things I mentioned before. One recommendation would be to increase the difficulty of the game, I won the game without knowing how and why.
Cool atmosphere and abilities for the character
Like pixel game also good matching with theme, absolutely like
@aegisfate Thanks! Yeah, I messed up with that @leeway @ivandiskin @superpaltus @gimmefiftybuckos @stames @eugene-b @pimping Thank you!
@mateusboga Mhm.. I kind of messed up with the upgrades UI and then it was already too late when my brain noticed it. I was also thinking that as you advance your "infested" rooms would generated you resources instead, but ohwell time. Thanks a lot for the feedback!
@louiewu Hehe, balancing didn't happen, so if you do get upgrades, it's a whoopie-doop fast journey, thanks!
@rita-brederson Ah I think the web version doesn't exit indeed and I didn't have time for other buidls back then. Thanks for the lovely comment tho!

I am the best! Fun little clicker. Damage early was a little over tuned for my mad APM! Great submission!
An engaging game with a strong theme and an aesthetic that draws you in. God job!
Loved the art style. I just wished I could check my resources in the upgrades screen.
Nice little game! Has all the necessary parts for a great little clicker game by having a little bit more content and polish. Like others mentioned already it would be nice to see resources on the shop screen. Also maybe there could be a way to get more resources eg. by clicking on some rocks or whatever spawning in the "room". I'm not sure what the blue orbs were which spawned occasionally and could be clicked?
Anyways, great job!
Very cool atmosphere. The pixel art looks great and ominous - but so much so that I was a bit let down by the eventual gameplay. That said, I still enjoyed clicking my way to the Dusty Nothing. But what you write about originally having a different scope in mind makes sense - so if that was the way to wrap it up for the jam, so be it!
I had multiple minor issues with the UI, such as: - the scrollbars in the Upgrades menu were moving all over the place when I tried to scroll. (As if there was an order to them, and scrolling to the end of one panel scrolled the next panel one instead?) - the button hitboxes/active areas are very small, and it is not obvious where the cursor is pointing - it was easy to accidentally start the next level, due to all the clicking, and the Engorge button appearing in the middle of the fight area
But these are all minor things, it played very smoothly otherwise! I have no idea how would one get enough "Essence" for some of the upgrades.
Love the atmosphere of the game, the art and sound really set the mood! I dont play many clicker games but I thought this was a great take on that genre and the theme as well! Great job!
