Such a nice concept! I wish to play this when it is more polished!

Nice game concept! Took a bit of time for me to understand the controls, even tho you showed them here haha But overall fun game. I got 21 in score, so did my partner

As a strategy gamer I really enjoyed the game. But I found an annoying bug that the ant can turn over and it is no longer possible to control it.

definitely difficult to manage when ants run into each other and make it hard to get resources through but that's kinda to be expected with a whole RTS defense game made in 2 days. This game is BEYOND impressive to make in a couple days considering the 3d models and the fact that it is a functioning RTS. On my third attempt, I think I solved the game with workers and towers to make a base that was practically unbeatable and that was fun to do! Super enjoyable game and I'd love to see it polished up and turned into a more complete game!

Extremly impressive work for 48 hours. Well done with getting both 3d graphics and a somewhat working rts game going

I love the BarbariAnts! I can see myself playing this game again in the future, do you have plants to expand/polish it? Gj!

It's cool how you managed to implement the whole strategy game in just two days! I wanted to establish control over the entirety of the map, but something strange has happened — looks lika godot web build bug, because I have experienced similar problem in one of my older game's browser build (made in godot 4.3).

@fernando-tonon-de-rossi thanks, after all the feedback I get here I'm considering it.

@thesand Thanks, yeah the game back then was a little to hard tweaked those numbers after that.

@grut607 Ow no, that should not be happening. Will look into it.

@budster16 Thank you very much! Wow haven't been able to do that myself. So cool that some people are better at your game as yourself :D Yeah, after this feedback I might work on the game further.

@glassar Thanks!

@nazariglez Initially not, but as more people are asking it I'm considering it. Some audio and a nice environment would enhance the game by a lot I think.

@tetrergeru Thanks! Oh no, did the camera teleport off map? I can't remember if I actually set boundaries in the XZ-axis for the camera :o

tetrergeru 2024-10-09 06:32

@douwe-ravers, it seems more likw a rendering bug, I think

douwe-ravers 2024-10-09 06:43

@tetrergeru ahh that is also possible. Dahmmm, no idea how to tackle that :/

Interesting, I loved the look of the warrior ant, but there didn't seem to be any goal except surviving. Some resources were behind where the enemy spawned, so they felt inaccessible. It was a bit weird being to spawn thing anywhere and close to the enemies, though selecting to spawn did lag the game a bit.

Cool game! I think, if you have time next time, adding sound could be an advantage.

shasaur 2024-10-14 17:59

Really fun concept and actually challenging gameplay! A nice mix of micromanagement and resource macromanagement. The blend of RTS with tower defense is really interesting. Some SFX and maybe an isometric camera would have been perfect additions.

Great entry, the ballistas are way to strong. Ressources should not be unlimited (in order to make the player expand)Capture d’écran 2024-10-14 204515.png

Great job.

I love Rome and I love ants, but I never thought these two could be combined like this. Even more surprising is how you've managed to blend tower defense and RTS games in such a way. At first, I was indeed a bit overwhelmed, but soon I started to enjoy all of it. Great job, mate!

Does a surprisingly good job of marrying ant and roman strategy gameplay. Obviously it's just a proof of concept but I'd like to see where it goes, maybe you'll fix some bugs and add more bugs to build. It could really use the ability to demolish buildings, and build additional bases. There's not really much reason to expand outside the starting area because not only does the efficiency decrease, but the risk of units getting stuck on buildings and eachother goes up aswell.
