I'm only seeing a source code link. Will you add a playable?

hystaf 2018-12-04 02:16

Now you can access the game ! :p

hamsters-actually 2018-12-04 18:23

Pretty fun, I wish there was more to it though

hystaf 2018-12-04 18:34

@hamsters-actually Yes me too ! Maybe later if we have the time to implements new things! :p

Hey . Bad things first : Controls are really unplayable, I don't if i'm bad or something but I didn"t understand how to control the ship so I was flying nowhere and still had a bonus. Nice things : The graphics are outstanding. The ship is gorgeous and the animation too ! The sound was nice too :)

vodish 2018-12-04 18:48

I couldn't run it well on low, even though I can run most normal games on this laptop, I think you might have too much post process and particles. The game was nice though! I'll try it again when I'm home on my better computer to test it further :)

Also, you have two exe in your folder, I ran the game with the PYEW.exe

hystaf 2018-12-05 16:43

@vincent-blot For the controls I thinks it's because you don't really know the basic plane control on pc ^^" First time it's all time hard to hunderstand for sure^^. Thx for plaing !

@vodish Yee we know... This game need a good computer if you want to play with 60 fps :/ I hope you will be able to appreciate the game on an other computer.

Looks pretty good, but the controls was kind of bad. But Good Work!

Hey, this is pretty cool! Looks really nice, I like the voxel ship and the heavy use of bloom. For me having the roll/pitch based flight controls was refreshing, but I can see how others would be frustrated. Controlling felt very smooth, definitely a bit challenging to navigate in close quarters sometimes, but once I figured out I could use shift and space to adjust my throttle it got a lot easier. It seemed like the initial primary weapon (the yellow lasers) weren't always targeting correctly, but once I got the upgrades, particularly the big green constant laser, I was able to clean things up pretty quickly. Cool entry!

hystaf 2018-12-05 17:52

@justinmullin Thx you for your com. Just for the first weapon it's targeting correctly but with the speed it's hard to hunderstand when you play because they look like go away ^^.

glassar 2018-12-05 18:17

Beautiful graphics but I really struggled with the controls and some kind of tutorial would have been nice

icehottet 2018-12-05 20:51

nice actual functionality of the ship using pitch to control! Love the voxels!

step4 2018-12-06 17:18

Looks awesome but coldn't play it because control was to hard for me:D

lazertrax 2018-12-06 21:18

Really cool graphics. The controls are a bit hard and I would suggest you make Q,E to like turn sideways. I guess it could make the controls easier for people. But overall the game is very nice and clean. Awesome job

Hey, just a thought for you: you may want to update your link to let people know that you've got more than just source code. I almost missed this gem! I thought "nah, no way I've got time to figure out how to compile the source," but @hystaf's comment above helped me figure it out.

elysiagriffin 2018-12-18 22:07

I love the graphics and the effects, as well as the sounds. The movement and feel is pretty great, though a bit confusing at first. It's a really cool game! Good job!

sorlok 2018-12-22 04:36

Pretty impressive job; the game looks great! It was hard for me to figure out where I was aiming, but the Big Laser mechanic was pretty cool.
