Cool, but hard
There were some issues, like having no way to recharge the bullets if you used and picked them all and you got spotted, and the game way too hard, but i guess the game was ok...
I'm quite sure my game bugged in some horrible way - I could walk through walls and none of the items I picked up did nothing. 32-bit Windows 7 here.
That's odd Hempuli, the game should run on all platforms, including Android if i would have had time to make onscreen analogs.
Fun idea! But it seems a little bugged. I got stuck multiple times where I couldn't move anywhere.. :(
What format is the game? I downloaded the linux version and it's a .exe so I'm not sure exactly how I'm meant to play the game.
Um, I was able to cross walls and the guard never saw me at all... Windows 7 32-bit here.
Works now. Thanks for the fix!
The crossing walls shouldn't happen. My dropbox was giving the wrong version. Try again :D Mjiig, I put up the linux link. Didn't realise that Linux couldn't use .exe
Good iea to make a stealth game with the theme. No bugs here but it was so hard I did not manage to reach the end.
That's what i've been told :D
A neat idea but well beyond my capabilities. I died about 10 times on the first corner before I got any further, and gave up pretty soon after that. Also, I found that the gun didn't really do anything, hitting the guards with it achieved nothing.
Thanks for getting a proper linux build up though :)
Ah, the guns were a last minute addition as you can see in the timelapse. I was planning to have pickpocketing for gun/knife and it'd be required to get through some levels... although time told me otherwise. For the difficulty, this came with my hate of block movement. If I were to make the movement based on 50 increments rather than 2 increments, It'd be easy to get around those corners. (Stick character movement to block grid, one block a time)
Pretty difficult at times, I couldn't' get past the second level, I got up to the door and it wouldn't open for me so I got stuck. I couldn't work out how to open the first door either, it just seemed to open after lots of random clicking and button mashing.
He's not really alone... lol
There are hundreds of other things there... closed mouth pacmans or whatever. This is hard as crap, too. I had no idea that I was being spotted. I just thought that it was glitching up or something. The stealth idea is refreshing amongst all these other games, but several things are holding it back.
@Jigxor: The doors are opened by clicking them when you have the required keys. Not sure if this was working wrong for you, but it seems to work for me just fine.
@SonnyBone: Closed mouth pacmans, or lack of art skills prison guards ;) Whatever you want to call them. The difficulty was mainly because the character moved freely around rough corners. If it was grid movement it would be 100x easier.
I get a 404 for all the downloads.
The 'Web' link leads to the timelapse on youtube for me. And the Windows download link leads to a dropbox 404. I'll try again later.
Sorry about the 404 error on Dropbox, i setup folders in it and forgot to relink. Woops! Thanks for ratings!
