Very cute game. Loved the idea of the story. A cat trying to go home with the person who loves her and the cats journey. One of those feel good games. More polish and so. It can be very good. Just please dont code anything that shows "harm" to the cat.

I like the warm and playful tones of this game. It plays like a children's story and a coloring book.

Animation and graphics style beautiful. Reminded me a bit of Dino Run!

Mysticales 2011-12-19 05:15

You know.. add something like that one game Nightsky. Focus the graphics on the sky itself to add to this game. =) I mean personally if I was allowed to vote. This game really hits a "mood" for me. =) It starts great with the cat waking up, and looking to find its loved owner. Any cat owner would recognize this and the bond. =)

This was really great.
As far as innovation goes, I see nothing ground breaking here, but everything that's there works.

I literally said on Skype: "Guys play this game, it's great, I just spent the last twenty-... I'm sorry 40 minutes playing this game!" the game is actually fun, smashing pots and stuff. Like zelda.

You don't spend very much time actually alone, so the theme is sort of weak there, unless you count the girl.

I absolutely love the art and animations here, simple, yet beautiful. The leaves in the wind really add to the atmosphere. Not a whole lot more I can say here.

Audio.. I really only remember like 2 sounds, dog bark, and the pots breaking? no records here.

Humor, not so much... until you unlock the secret :)

The ending the first time made me sad, and the second, I was content that I had managed to do some good. felt great man.

I'm leaving community N/A until the journal links work.

Overall I loved it, and would definitely play more games from you in the future! Keep up the good work.

There' are too many screens which are 'hold right to win'. Hence I seconds the observation that it's reminiscent of nightsky

Mysticales 2011-12-19 18:18

Trying to figure out the secret ending? Any hints? I thought it was the ball, but cant get the ball up that one wall where you ditch the dog?

Man this game is beautiful. Loved the stylistic art, and the animations were great. The backgrounds are well done and jumping around and knocking down flower pots with the little kitty was a blast. I also thought the story was very good and the little kitty pals just added to the experience. Please do more with this.

Mysticales - yes the secret involves the ball. You need to take it to the end. You can get it over the wall with the dog. First bounce it onto the ledge above the door, and then onto the roof or another windowsill. If you stand directly underneath/ontop of the ball and jump you can bounce it on your head quite high.

recursor - thank you :)

Andrew - I actually haven't played nightsky, so it's interesting that you've found parallels. When I was making this game it started out as a "toy" which didn't have any hard goals. I found it fun to just run around as a kitten, and so I didn't design the game to be won by simply holding right. I think most of the fun comes from just being a cat and interacting with other objects and cats. If it was a bit short, I hope you still enjoyed it.

Keep it up Jig, Dont stop this game. Add lil more polish, expand to it. This is worth playing more of.

Amazing! Also, nice Sydney harbor bridge! I played it a few times and as you said, it's fun to just go around breaking pots and stuff. The first time I played it I was trying to break all of the pots and also tried to take the ball to the end (but gave up on the dog part cause I didn't know it was possible - somehow I knew there might be a reward for bringing the ball to the end :). Second run, I somehow managed to get the blue cat on the screen where the home was. Then I noticed there are 2 spare windows and thought it were possible to bring the blue and the gold cats home, but when I jumped up into the window, the blue cat stayed down the bottom jumping up and down... Unloved :/ But yeah, also as someone else said, I like the leaves flying around in the air. Also, I killed the butterfly!

Brilliant. Just brilliant. I hope you win at life!

kernel_panic 2011-12-22 15:12

So cute! Really good mood in this game. I love the pixelated graphics and the cat sounds are cute. Gameplay was a bit one-dimensional though, and told more of a story. Despite this a gave it a few plays and found the secret! Good job! I enjoyed this one!

pierrec 2011-12-24 17:38

I really enjoyed plaing with the ball, fighting other cats, destrouing things...I really felt like a cat! Neat!

jigxor 2011-12-24 23:29

Thanks for playing guys!

kernel panic - I'm glad you managed to find the secret :)

Pierrec - glad you enjoyed the ball and destroying stuff!

triplefox 2011-12-31 05:53

Top notch. I kept waiting for the sad ending and it didn't happen, which was almost the unexpected thing given how many "art games" take that route!

evilseanbot 2011-12-31 07:07

Awesome little mood poem of s game.

Having a touch more enviromental interaction might have been nice - I really felt like I should spend my day climbing trees - But othervise very nice little game.

xsmalldeadguyx 2012-01-04 18:57

Quite fun and enjoyable. Makes a quite complete game, although I'd like more challenges

ghostik 2012-01-08 09:34
