Weeeird! I would love to know how you made a 3D game have such a tiny file size. Zany fun!

One thing though: The controls are simply the WEIRDEST I have ever seen. Not bad, neccesarily, but really weird.

fireblend 2012-04-23 04:59

Love the way this game looks, controls are a bit weird and collisions (specially with the purple stuff) tend to make the character shake a lot, but damn, I do love moving around in that sphere.

tifu 2012-04-23 13:40

I have no idea how you did this, but it was awesome D:

triplevisiongames 2012-04-25 17:37

AWESOME! This is my favourite game so far and I've tried quite a few! Love the graphics, love the gameplay, addictive, fun, cute little sounds, amazingly cute fox, captured the theme. This is going to take some beating. I will be playing this for a long time. Please make it work on iOS so I can play it at work too! Pleeeeeeeeeeeease!!!

namkcor 2012-04-25 17:38

I really liked the concept, and the game looked really neat, but I felt no real compulsion to play after a few minutes.

Looks great but the background can get a bit dizzying at times. I think this is a really fun and interesting concept that could have used a bit more to it. Very creative and fits the theme very well. Good work!

jfroco 2012-04-26 01:23

Where is the source code? ;)

Great concept, I really liked the engine, On the other hand the challenge, the controls and the collition detection could be improved.

davidllanos22 2012-04-26 04:00

Very interesting idea! Loved the graphics and the way you made a 3d world! :)

chambers 2012-04-26 06:04

Best graphics. In a videogame. Ever.

strkl 2012-04-26 08:02

Best game i've played so far, it really fits the theme ! The collision are a bit annoying, but the art style is just awesome !

discofish 2012-04-26 08:50

beautiful art!

thotep 2012-04-26 09:13

I like the graphics and overall idea, but fox-terrain collisions are wonky. Also, I don't know if I'm doing anything meaningful (that is, if collecting stuff makes the planet grow and how).

dukope 2012-04-26 09:50

Pretty basic gameplay but I really like the look of this one. Great presentation. Nice job on getting the 2D assets to look and feel so 3D.

mark_ffrench 2012-04-26 17:00

The game was cool, however I'm getting a virus warning for this in the exe: http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2000-121911-5753-99

It appeared after a minute or so of playing it which was odd. In case you are wondering this is the only game from the competition that I've downloaded.

sheepolution 2012-04-26 17:15

Sweet game :)

moop 2012-04-26 17:22

Cute game and gorgeous pixels. Would've liked to see slightly more complex gameplay and bigger collision area on the berries.

airrider3 2012-04-26 17:28

Wow, I'm looking forward to get into a Windows PC to try this!

pinkmonkeyhead 2012-04-26 17:34

Gorgeous game. I loved the concept. I just think it would me better with mouse input but it's beautiful anyway

villhest 2012-04-26 18:06

Awesome! How did you do it?

blob 2012-04-26 19:06

Technically impressive, and super cute graphism.
Would have loved to have a little " trotting "sound for the fox.

Where is the source code ?

adventureislands 2012-04-26 19:24

Really beautiful game, needs bit more content though, but still, good job!

bitslap 2012-04-26 21:09

I loved the visuals here!

tentontoon 2012-04-27 06:30

Awesome presentation and probably the best theme interpretation so far.
On the other hand, it's barely a game, as there's no clear indication of consequence to your actions, or a win/lose condition, as pleasant as it is to simply roam around.

madflame991 2012-04-27 09:30

What did you use to make the game? I like the game (from a technical perspective). I like how you made the fox's tail and how you made the 3d world without it actually being 3d (nice gimmick).

thomcc 2012-04-28 04:23

Very nicely done. Especially like the 2.5d look. No source?

logan 2012-04-28 04:56

Well, it was made in Multimedia Fusion 2, and the code is really a mess, so I'm not sure it would actually benefit anyone...
I guess I could still throw it up there, though?

Anyway, thanks to all who have been enjoying it, even if only for the funky fake 3D planet effect. I kinda went into this project with no idea what kind of game to make, spent some hours getting the planet rotation working, and ended up with no idea what kind of game to make. I actually gave up a few hours from the deadline after I couldn't find a way to make it fun, only to scratch a few things together (like a win/lose scenario) at the last minute and submitting it anyway. So... sorry the game itself is so bland.

But at least the planet looks nice.

whilefun 2012-04-28 17:58

Pretty cool man! I wasn't sure what the end-game would be so after my planet got really big I just got wrecked by a scorpion lol

garethjenkins 2012-05-07 16:15

Love it -- more fox games please everyone :)

darkcoder 2012-05-08 06:49

It has a very nice aesthetic, but the way you handle the planetary rotation makes it too annoying when you essentially get stick at the poles.

spacetoaster 2012-05-11 04:58

Yup, as Darkcoder said, the control suffer from gimbal lock! Very neat graphics though.

logan 2012-05-12 05:02

Is that what that's called?

Anyway, this is my first time attempting something like this, and I couldn't get my head around free movement on a sphere defined by latitude and longitude. So that's why it's so awkwardly limited.

moonmagic 2012-05-12 16:28

I love the feel of this game. The fox is adorable, and the colors of the planet make it really pleasant to walk around. I would have loved a crazy Minter-like effect on picking up the shroomberries; if the planet growth were more overtly tied to something like that, it would be really motivating for me. The scorpion is great, also.
