Very nice game, and nicer taking into consideration it was made in only 48h! Hope you keep upgrading it, wish someday I could spot it on Steam!

The game is a bit unfinished, but what is here, is actually good. With a bit more work this can be really good game.
Wow, this is a compo game? Respect! Did you model all the 3D assets yourself in 48h plus writing the logic and UI stuff? Well done, big effort for such a short time frame. I like the idea, the movement, the characters and the environment. The attack animation could be a bit nicer and adding some pushback would massively increase the gamefeel (every time a char gets hit he gets pushed back a bit), just as a suggestion if you want to keep working on this game. Anyways, well done!

This is a cool entry, especially for a compo! The only thing i missed was some kind of map or at least some indicator where the enemies are. But overall very well done!
Wow well done! Even more impressive since it's a compo game! Congratulations, I see a lot of potential in your game. I really like the art style and, even if the animations were a little bit weird at first, I ended up enjoying them a lot. Even the UI is very good.
Here are however a few things that could benefit from an improvement if you want to spend more time on your game : - smoother movement and pathfinding (I also noticed that the ranged soldiers move quite smoothly while the tanks seem to have a hard time walking, maybe it was just an impression). - sometimes a soldier to hire is cheaper than the others while surpassing them in every stat. - as mentionned, some kind of map. - I saw you prevented the player from sacrificing their soldiers while engaged in a fight. It is a design choice and I respect it but I think allowing a sacrifice during a fight could invovle the player more and add tension and rewards for them.

Nice game for the compo. Very nice looking graphics.
I think it could have been really fun to be able to sacrifice people during battle. Now once the battle started I was just watching them die and there was nothing I could do. I could not even run away when the HP got low or tell the tank to go in the front... I was just watching...
@kaiagan @jeroenpx In regards to sacrificing units during battle, that was how the prototype was working, but during playtest it quickly became clear that the best strategy was waiting for the units to be low on health and sacrificing them, making the whole sacrificing mechaning meaningless as soon as you get the timing right. Not being able to sacrifice mid-battle means the player has to take some hard decisions sometimes regarding wether to sacrifice and buy a new unit or risk it and wait for more gold and buy the better one.
In the end it is also a taste depending thing so, nice feedback :)
Well done! I LOVED the artstyle! It was great. I never managed to get out tho, maybe a bit unbalanced. Or I just sucked. I don't know. I liked it. Good job, be proud of yourself!
Pretty cool that you managed to make a solid, polished RTT game for compo.
Level 13 was intense tho, genius mechanics with the Hydra. Keeping all heads down was quite the challenge.

I'm really surprised there isn't more votes ! The gameplay was really smooth, although I felt I lost control during the fights. Sounds and animations were good and really pulled me in. Making a RTS during a compo must have been a challenge, so kudos to you ! Great entry :)
@pandanym I might have slacked with the voting, after a couple jams in a row all I wanted to do after submitting the game was quit the computer for a while haha

Excellent entry.
Petman. Petman has seen some shit. As a level 17 ranged soldier, he has seen virtually all of his friends die in battle in front of him. But, with 1% of his health left and a badly bruised tank whose name he does not recall (best not to get attached), he limped out of the swamp, victorious.
Very pretty graphics! The characters look really cool:slight_smile: Amazing work in such a short amount of time! If you have the time, could you perhaps try my entry too? Im stil not at 20 ratings and time is running short :/ Thank you!
Good boi. I think the only downside is that there's only fighting, and fighting, no camps or treasure along the way, or maybe imprisoned people who you would free and they would join you. I could clearly hear that you didn't have enough time (from the SFX), but no worries. This is a great start!
@nnnikki Pretty much you nailed it. I was thinking on pile of golds hidden along the way and things like that but time was of the essence and I was already having problems with sound, so yeah :D
