There is no game, please anwnser if fixed so i can play it.
As others have commented, the link seems broke. This is my speculation, but maybe the game is not set as public on itch.io? Take a look at your settings.
Go to **Edit Game** on the top left, then all the way in the bottom, under **Visibility & Access** set it to **Public**
This is my kind of game - cutesy RPG, met the theme perfectly, and looks polished.
Not sure if you have custom CSS enabled with your itch.io, but you could potentially set cursor: none !important on the unity canvas. Probably not essential
make sure to play more games if u want ratings - this is a really good game hto
I liked the game. I dont usually play these kinda of rpg style games but it was still fun to play. Nice graphics and story.
@jamster Thank you! CSS is not enabled right now on our page but I'll look into it, thanks for the tip :)
Interesting take on the theme. A well polished game. It did feel a bit heavy on randomness with not much strategy involved. I kept getting stuck on maps with no boss encounter and having to restart.
I guess I have been the first to be able to play it.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING. Great job and solid core for a roguelike rpg here! Hail the loop knights! Impecable entry.
Also note that bard+bard after a healer make the game stuck for me.
@manusaiz Glad you liked it! I'll take a look and fix that one, thank you!
Nice! Really great concept & use of the theme, and the graphics and music are really solid. Love the pixel art and the vibe of the intro music. Gameplay was pretty fun, though honestly pretty easy - I was probably never at risk of dying, even in the beginning, and once I got a big enough team I just steamrolled everything - after killing the first boss I had so much money I could just buy whoever I wanted. The subsequent worlds didn't get much harder, and eventually I got a dead end on world 3 and couldn't proceed. (Last two nodes were groups of enemies, not bosses.) Also the targeting mechanic wasn't obvious to me at first, and the fact that archers would attack different amounts of enemies based on who was targeted was kinda weird and took me a bit to understand. Still a pretty cool experience, would love to see this one expanded upon. Great work! :D
Start with some good stuff: The UI looks and feels great! The music and sound effects are very fitting. The art looks super crisp.
Some critique: I ended up with enough gold to just buy everything every time I found the Wanderers. It might be cool if you can only have a set number of units in your loop to force you to make choices about who you take into battle.
I failed this game my first time through, but the second time, the first Boss got negative armor and I was hitting him for 55 damage per turn... Not sure if that was intentional.
I ended up getting to the third "floor" and it had no boss, so my run ended there.
Wrap this up with other stuff I like: The random map generation came out really nicely. The little touches like the custom cursor, the bobbing marker on the overworld, and the little watch-handle widget under your team as you fight --- they all came together to make a very polished end product. A great entry and one of the more interesting takes on the theme I've played so far. Very nice work
@someone Thanks! We wanted to add more strategy and synergies between heroes, but we lacked of time. Sorry for the bug, I'll take a look.
@bitdecay Thank you very much, it means a lot!
We need to work on the balancing now, to assure a pleasant difficulty and experience througout the floors. Sorry for the boss bug, I'll take a look right now :)
This is really good! Art, sound, story, all very nice! I'm excited to be in here early lol This game should be getting more ratings, make sure you're playing more games, giving ratings and providing feedback!
I was surprised at the amount of systems in here; The level select thing, the party organizer, the amount of characters and enemies. I probably spent more time "playing" this game than any others just because I wanted to see how OP I could make my party (pretty damn OP lol)
Friendly criticism; I wish there was a little more strategy involved. My first run felt like I was just at the mercy of RNG (maybe thats the point). I got to the first boss and lost, and I'm not sure what I could have did better. The next run I got a bard and a cleric, which seems like THE "win". I guess it's like Solitaire, sometimes the deck is winnable, sometimes it's not?
Once I got enough money I didn't need to choose party-mates at the wanderers, I could just buy them all and stack my deck.
It would be awesome to have a fast-forward button, especially when the party gets larger. I think it would be really fun to just see it spin fast and just unload on enemies!
Overall a very nice game! A lot of potential!
party.png
@ismael-rodriguez Thank you very much! You made us realized that we didn't clamped the max party size, oops!
We also wanted to add more strategy, we really like our concept and we will push it forward in that way :)
LOVE the presentation. There's so many small, subtle pieces of polish here it's hard to believe it was a jam game. From the clock-like turn timer that lights up based on which turn you're on, to the small, flickering fireflies that permeate the battle.
Growing your team is very addicting, and you did it in a way I've never seen before. It's a bit like a very light "programming" style game and you're programming the attacks you build up over time. Very cool. Speaking of programming loops, the while-loop character is so awesome once you get her :D
I ran into the same bug as the others. I reached the end on one playthrough and was forced to sit there.
Of all the games I've played so far, this is probably the most innovative, and also the one with the most untapped potential. You get the same feeling of strong power progression as you get from incremental games. Where would you have liked to take this game in the future?
@flazone Maybe it should be unlimited lol, or at least have a pretty high number, it was fun to overload my party! If only the enemies could keep up a bit ;)
@peachtreeoath Thank you very much! We really like to spend time on the game feel and little details (maybe to much )
We started with this simple idea of a looping team that you can re-order to creates combos. Because of the short development time, we lacked time to iterate and creates cool synergies between classes. The game lacks of strategy right now but we have a lot of ideas to push the concept forward :)
Be able to reorder your loop during a combat before monster's turn for example, being able to buy consummables usabled during a fight...
We are very excited with this game and we want to keep it up going!
What a great entry! I really like the concept and rogue-like action. I love the map - reminds me of slay the spire. Super cute art, good UI that was easy to understand. Streamlined art style. This was fantastic!
Loved the graphics and music of the game! The characters look so nice too
Also the concept of the game, and gameplay (along with the story) feels amazing
My only critic would be that I think that bosses should give lot less money, so yo have to actually chose wich characters you prefer to buy, and not just buy them all :p Also, maybe in a future it would be nice to have the posibility to use the coins to upgrade the characters (like make each of them stronger or so).
Last thing, this happend while I was trying to sort all the characters:

Great game and very fun, the art looks cool for the theme of the game. The music felt it fit very well the one sound when the archer hits is a bit grating as it seem to loud. I think a broke the loop with my reset lady as I had two and when the second one reset the loop again it froze the loop. The design and feel of the game is fresh and the mechanics are very good. Over all a very very enjoyable game thanks. Keep up the great work as it would be an awesome mobile game that I would buy.
I love the game! It immediately sets a great mood, the music is fantastic. The art is great, well made, diverse characters. The gameplay idea is also great. The content amount feels impressive, but it seems really unfinished and not really tested from a gameplay perspective. I think it would make a great game if there were some points addressed: * map does not offer choice, i always get symmetrical maps with the exact same tiles * Runs are vastly different in easyness. On the first i got the shield guy and arrived with 15 hp at the boss, no chance to heal. The second run, i got the reverse girl, which felt 10x stronger. * I'm not sure if there are combos, or what they do. On the boss the damage stacked up heavily, but only there - not sure why * the boss gives so much money you can buy all heroes that will ever come * unlimited amount of heroes circle - probably not intended * the targetting is difficult as it resets with every hero
I only write this because i really like the game, it was really cool, fun experience nonetheless. Well done!
Really enjoyed this. Found the difficulty curve went straight down as once you get the Reverse Girl it was a bit of a breeze. I was anticipating a fixed party size. I think there's definitely scope for expanding this as with some extra work you could generate some really interesting gameplay. Sadly my run ended when the final node failed to spawn. Fantastic job, super impressive!
capture.PNG
My runs don't last long but this game is fantastic and crisply presented.
Wow I loved it. I want it on my phone now! Please make this fully fledged. Its epic
Great game but a fixed party size is needed or limit the number of shamans. Three shamans makes an infinite loop, I'm sure that's not intentional. Awesome graphics, presentation and gameplay. Really impressive entry.
Firstly I just wanna say, I wanted more. This was such a tight little loop (no pun intended) and the gameplay felt great and satisfying. I did reach a bug at one point using the bard and the shaman where the game just hung, but that sort of stuff happens in jams so I don't really mind too much.
Overall really solid and unique entry. Good job
I really liked the game, but I find it too easy. Maybe I got lucky ? I didn't really have that much strategy to think of too, I just needed to have that loop lady at the end and well, it's all. I do believe there is a lot of potential thought, so I do hope you'll continue working on it ! Keep ut the good work !
Overall, really fun idea and great presentation. The art is great and all the little flourishes and effects on attacks really add to the polish.
I think my criticism is the same as some others:
- The beginning can be very RNG and there's not really anything you can do about it. - Some of the classes need some balance, the shaman is way overpowered and the scavanger is pretty useless as you already get way more gold than you can use. - It would be good to have to plan strategically for each fight, maybe by drastically limiting the number of characters that can be in the loop, so you have to adjust and set up for each encounter.
However, in the context of a game jam the balance was more than good enough to demonstrate what you were going for and provide a fun experience. Really good job!
This game is soo good and soo long, I love it! I love everything about it! Although after having 3 repeaters it was quite easy
Amazing game, dude. Funny characters, variety of mechanics and enjoyable progression. You can expand this concept even further to make a full-fledged RPG. My only complaint is that some battles may feel a bit slow, so it would be great to have some sort of a fast forward button to speed animations up.
Wow, a lot of content! The art is really nice and the gameplay is definitely unique and fits the theme.
After a couple of worlds the fights start to get a bit long though and I couldn't figure out how most of the abilities complement each other, or was it just the couple of obvious one?
a very clever use of the theme! I really liked the game.
+ The theme is very well used + The finish is incredible + A pleasant little strategic notion + Cool monkey possibilities
- The synergy could have been pushed much further - lack of balance - The combat phase, which drags on, due to the lack of action.
it's a great project, and what was done on the time of a jam is really cool. A very nice project.
Ps, I wanted to make a synergy between the character who gives the double action and the character who relaunches the loop and the game has planted

Fantastic game. I hope noone else mentioned this so far: I found a bug, where two consecutive bards cause an infinite loop. Could it be that the shield not protect against ranged attack?
Very impressive entry that's really well executed on all fronts. In the end, because you want to keep playing the lack of balance and deeper strategy stands out. Nothing strange for a jam game so, Lots of potential here. This could be a successful mobile game with some extra effort. Thanks.
Great game, seems very completed the idea is innovative. However, the game gets repetitive very quickly. The interesting characters you get also counts alos takes up hero slots and the combos I got were not very exciting. Also: * Game difficulty does not increase very well (this is a jam issue of course) * The combats can drag on too much, especially bosses. A simple fast forward button might solve this.
While my review can look negative I enjoyed your game alot. It is actually it one of the best games I played in this jam. A great complete game which I'm sure I'll draw inspiration from in my future games. Thank you for this entry.
Wow really good game, liked it a lot!! The idea is really good, and the graphycs are amazing! GG
A very interesting game, with a lot of good qualities and some rough edges. The graphics and audio are very nice, which produce a cool atmosphere. The mysterious wanderers are looking fantastic. I like the pixel style and the characters are looking very stylish.
I think this kind of game is hard to make for a game jam, because you put a lot of different characters in the game, which is nice, but at the same time the balancing becomes a big issue. When I first played it, I was never in danger of dying. It was very easy and the "mage" was really strong if he was buffed by the barde. The boss battles were not strategic. It was just a waiting game. Maybe you could reduce the size of the group, so you have to choose carefully between the characters.
Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed playing that game. It was one of my favorite entries, but because I like it, I wanted to give you some feedback on improving the game. As I said, this kind of game is hard to do for a jam. I hope you will expand the game in the future. :)
Fun idea! If it was made a bit more challenging and fleshed out I would play this!
Oh boy, this is a great amount of work incredibly done for a jam game! The concept is awesome and pretty well thought out, and definitely something worth expanding, especially for mobile platform. I agree with guys above that the combat phase is very passive, which is a shame, especially during boss fights, which plays basically the same as normal enemies.
Also it is prone to optimalization - I set up the best circle I thought possible and change it only when new heroes arrived. Maybe it would be worth trying allowing the player to change the circle between each round of battle, so that they could react better to boss's moves.
Is the game endless? I finished five worlds and am not sure whether to carry on, as I got more gold than I could ever spend and things started to drag a bit.
Still the first few levels, characters and discoveries were awesome! If you could keep that tempo, shorten the game or change things around a bit, it could be an impressive full game.
So basically my biggest problem with the game as it is and considering the jam character of it is that you just made it longer than it could be, which made the experience fade unnecesarilly.
But that cannot change the greatness of the idea and the execution as well, awesome artstyle, atmospheric music, juicy enough, both visual and sound effect are good. Great work!
Very nice graphics and polished feel! It's a cool idea of a game, and could become very fun if balanced up a bit. Currently it's hard to lose, but still a really solid entry, especially for being made in such a short amount of time!
Absolutely love it :) I hope you find it funny to read about this circle/loop based dance from eastern Europe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horovod :)
Wow guys, that's absolutely nice result! First of all it is using the theme, it has story line and the art is just awesome.
Absolutely love it, even tho I've managed to get it stuck somehow :D
Absolutely amazing game! Great visuals, interesting and innovative mechanics and awesome execution! Great work all around!
Excellent game! I had a lot of fun playing it. Great art, audio, and game play. Nice work!
Amazing art and nice audio! I liked the mechanics, but it felt a bit too passive, perhaps being able to fast forward the gameplay would shift the focus a bit more to the FTL/MonsterTrain style choices. I could see this being really fun on mobile.
Great work. Very imaginative use of the theme and could see this being in a larger game that I would play for longer. Thanks for the game!
The game is cool, I only miss a mute button.
Damn.. It's so professional.
Everything works : Interpretation of the theme, sounds, graphics...
Very excellent to play (F.U.N!), very solid entry.
There is one more thing : You put a true ambience in your game, and it's not common for a LD entry
Super fun game, beautiful, good music and sound, its a very strong entry for sure! Varied units with cool enough mechanics, I think there was some issue with balancing, I quickly reached a point where winning was trivial and I had more money than I would ever need. Its a jam though, so I understand.
Great game all around, certainly might be worth exploring further, its a strong base you got there with much room for expansion. Winner right there!
This is incredibly impressive for a weekend's work! The art, presentation and feel is amazing! I really hope that you continue working on this to add some more strategic depth and push for more synergy opportunities with the characters!
##### Double Bard Stack IS OP / Crashes the game!
I got stuck in a lopp trying to double Bard my archer and I was stuck on the second bard forever :D You can see it on my stream! Nontheless, the game is very polished. I love the execution and will definitely play the full title! Sign me in for beta! Job well done guys!
Amazing entry!! My only complaint is that it gets too easy too quick, and boss battles coud have some more player interaction. Great job!!
Lovely-looking well-polished game! I would have liked a little more depth to the game play, but obviously time is limited. Great stuff!
@nsadie well its not a weekends work. It was published 2 days ago, so more like a weeks work. See also the early comments, or just the status on itch. It also receives continuous updates, changing (at least) the balancing and i think also the music - all without any patch notes or something like that. Sad to see.
@baumwollaugenjohannes It is a weekend work. We published the game on itch at the end of the jam but forgot to set it public. Sounds stupid but we were exhausted and took time to notice
And indeed, we made some updates about a few things: - Game breaking bugs (shaman + bard combined, black screen at floor 4) - Balancing issues - Fight music loop was broken
We should have made a changelog, sorry for that! We are not working on this version anymore and we plan to release a post-jam version.
@flazone I understand, the changes are fine to make, though they should be logged. I also think you made a really cool game, that i actually like and started on another day just to enjoy the music. I don't buy the "we forgot to make it public" though - so you tell me you worked a ton on the game on the weekend, but then didn't bother to check ldjam, if anyone played it and got feedback for you, for 3-4 days? Because the comments were clear on that, and there are notifications.
I could believe it if you have a history of ignoring the game page for a few days after finishing - but hey, it actually turns out the only other submission from you (a game i enjoyed a ton too) had exactly the same thing: no available page on submission. Forgot this one too? https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/tiny-kingdom-builder Do you still stick with the "hey, we forgot *again* to make our itch.io site public"?
Great game. Super polished, good art and a really attractive idea here. This has a lot of potential ! Would love to play it on a switch or on my phone, it doesn't even need to be more polished than that ;)
@baumwollaugenjohannes not to defend them, because I don't know the truth behind it, but it is actually easy to not set your game in public on itch.io. It's actually not so intuitive and we almost did that for our own game, aswell as many of us, as I see some other games with the same problem. It's a common one Better to not start a drama here, and better to give them credits for what they done with their game eh ? :)
Very polished game. Great mechanics, chill background music. My favorite game of the jam I played so far. After some balancing and variety improvements, this might as well be sold. My only gripe is that the shaman is too overpowered. Great work!
@baumwollaugenjohannes hey man, the other half of the duo here. I let Flavien answered you the first time cause he has handled the whole submission/community management thing, but since you're being an ass over the poor guy, Im intervening. Dont talk about Tiny Kingdom Builder, a game I made on my own 2 years ago when Flavien and I didnt even know each other, it has litterally nothing to do with it. Go and do some games, go and build experiences for other players to enjoy, go and be creative, instead of wasting your time (and ours) over what I can only interpret as petty jealousy. This pissing contest attitude is what's ruining the jamming scene, be better man.
@rend No jealousy here, i really like your games and look forward to the next one. Any good game is great for the jam, the more the better. I am just a stickler for fairness, and i don't think its fair to the other jammers to submit a game on friday. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind it is - maybe you didn't have enough time on the weekend and decided to prolong it, to really get out a weekend worth of work. I also didn't say it was Flaviens idea, i rather assumed it was your "style" as you apparently did the same thing in tiny kingdom builder. I don't know, but the cover up of it is what actually bugs me. Don't tell me you both didn't look at your submission for 3-4 days :D
Anyway, you are right in this being a waste of time. I've said what i wanted, i'm out. Good luck on the next jam, i hope you make a cool game (and don't try to bend the rules that time, or just be open about it). Have fun, really.
I liked it overall, very polished look, straight forward game loop . One thing I think is definitely missing, is the ability to speed up the game. Other than that I really enjoyed this game.
Awesome game, would love a time control to speed up the action. Also shaman stack is completely OP! I got stuck on a repeat of the depths 3 times (don't know if that's the end of the game) and I could kill the boss before it even got to attack all 3 times. Awesome variety in the character abilities though, all are a lot of fun.
It's so polished, I love it (especially since I could polish my own game as much as I wanted to, I'm in a kind of polish loving mood). Graphics are really good and have a strong identity, audio is powerfull and fits the game as well. Gameplay however doesn't work as it is, but it could be great with more work I believe.
I never managed to make my Unity games work with the full screen button on itch, do you know any resources that helped you or a secret setting to turn on ?
This. Is. Awesome! Never really played much turn based combat, now I'm seriously interested with this loop mechanic, I enjoyed it very much.
Had some minor issues playing in full screen and controlling the mouse clicks (I assume this is due to issues on my software/hardware end). The art style and music is very much to my liking, I would love to know what you made it with. Also how the music fits to the intro, fights, map... that's very well executed! Also the shaking screen and particle effects add to the melee experience... I could go on, but I'll simply come back to learn from what you made here :)
That was great. The Shaman is so OP! Really cool take on the theme. I wish there were meaningful choices to make in the map navigation but I understand the time constraint. Top marks across the board!
