Nice music, really nice design and I love the idea of having a bunch of small games. Especially the last game is very creative - preventing him from a bad sleep. Good job! After one died, you can't restart the game. It would have been great to reach the menu all time. The last screen shows a fix number of survived days.

What kind of engine did you use? Great job!

The presentation is well done, with the opening cutscene and the scenery of each minigame. Enough variety to not get repetitive quickly and overall pretty fun.

@orpartlu Thanks for the kind words and feedback! I've fixed the bug with the survived days, thanks for pointing it out. We used Godot.

@ferociter Thank you!

Fun little minigames...and appropriate game for me considering I just had surgery before the jam XD. Reminds me a bit of WTF on PS1. But cute and clever submission. Nice job!

Couldn't really make it past 2days. Might have one event that adds a lot more health back. The running scene I did it perfectly but lost a lot of health? cool mini game ideas though. Nice take on the concept.

Hi :) I think I really like how you communicate this (kinda heavy but useful for all of us) "stay healthy" concept via the game. I was a bit stuck on the treadmill (tried different hotkeys or mouse clicks). But in general, it looks like you did a great job, so many different scenes and all of them are in simple but stylish representation. Best of luck!

I love the overall mood because, it truly be like that. My favorite concepts are the mini games that slowly get harder. (The mouse clicking one was my favorite) I think the max to survive is the two days and a little bit after but thats it. If there was some kind of way that truly did help the MC a tiny bit more to survive that would be cool. I am personally engaged when playing because everything looks and feels good. Perfect for the Jam great job everyone!

The mood of this game is very good. I enjoyed just about every second of it. The only thing missing is various sound effects for doing certain things to make it more satisfying. I loved the particles that spewed out when doing just about anything. I loved the happy little vegetables and the mean french fries and such. The music brought it all together into a nice juicy, relaxing, and enjoyable package. I only managed to delay the inevitable for 3 days but I enjoyed my stay. Thank you for the game!

I especially want to call out how well you tell the player what to do (without explicitly telling them what to do). The graphics in the mini games are all presented in a way that I don't need to be told what the controls are beforehand. It's very intuitive. I think that's super important for jam games. Like changing my mouse cursor to a flyswatter for the sleep game, okay, I instantly think I need to mouse over bad things and swat them. It was perfect!

I think sound effects are the only thing missing, then this game could feel really really good. Great work!

It's incredible how polished this game is.

As others mentioned, everything is intuitive and relaxed. I specifically want to praise the music, I really enjoyed it. It fit perfectly and hit just the right feelings (especially loved the mood change at night).

It doesn't seem to be possible to delay death by more than a couple of days (I got 3 and I did pretty good at every minigame). Although maybe it's a good thing, from the gameplay perspective. There's just enough repetitions to not get boring.

By the way, for some reason I also like the look of the character at the treadmill. That face is full of concentration.

Very well done.

Absolutely loved the concept of the game and how straightforward and intuitive it is (you don’t even need a tutorial, the cues were obvious enough!). And i especially loved the music, how it changes between day and night to suit the mood :)

Also just letting you know that when i tried playing from an iPad (Safari), somehow the audio doesn't play

Good take on the title. Definitely a more somber game. I really enjoyed the minigames, especially the use of the mouse as running. Nice work!

Polish is often overlooked in game jams, but you nailed it! The colors showing what it good and bad, the animated text, the moving backgrounds. They all add up to make this from a great game to an amazing one. Sweet job!

steve7411 2022-04-15 23:58

I like the mini games. The inevitability theme is definitely there, and it's extremely disheartening to realize the bar's never going up.

lilianc 2022-04-16 21:44

That's pretty good ! This really nicely creates a feeling of routine and of holding on for dear life, music contributes to it a lot. It would benefit from having minigames that are separately more interesting (although the sleeping one is pretty cool). Also I think it would be more fun it time gauge was decreasing a bit slower but with more punitive minigames

This is an impressive entry - it's like 4 game jam games in one! I think the eating minigame is my favorite. I liked that the food not only had red or green trails, but also had friendly or mean faces to make it really clear which ones were bad.

sketchygalore 2022-04-20 05:05

I'm always impressed by LD games like this that manage to put multiple functioning minigames into one package within the allotted time! Definitely strong on theme, and I liked how it had a cheery tone to it, against the backdrop of an obviously grim subject matter. Well done!
