Enjoyed playing through this short point-and-click adventure! Great pixel graphics and tone, as well as the connection to the theme. I really enjoyed the innovative teleport-into-a-memory idea. Well done overall!

You have got to rate games so your own game gets seen! This game is absolutely incredible, super innovative take on the theme, great story that works perfectly with the gameplay as you uncover it bit by bit. Art and music also are really good. It's making me upset that this has only two ratings despite being this good!
@boxedmeatrevolution thank you! I'm only getting around to rating today unfortunately, I was gone travelling for a bit straight after the jam so haven't had time! I'm so happy you enjoyed it so much though, thank you!!
Really cool game ! Interesting take on the theme, unique graphics and great writing, I'm all in !
Nice work! The art and audio were really nice, and I liked your decision to use a limited palette. Navigating rooms/memories via the hyper text was also really clever idea.
The inventory system was also a definite improvement to a mechanic i've never enjoyed about point-and-clicks; clicking items from the inventory and trying them in failed combinations can get really tedious. I think you're onto something with that!
Overall, a really great experience!
I love the story and the world building. Great use of the minimal color palette and sound effects. Super interesting as a point and click adventure through memories in their final moments. Just brilliant!
Man that was messed up. In a good way. I really liked this interesting twist on "delay the inevitable". Only 1 complaint though, I wish you could skip those transitions between memories. Other than that, Good work.
@real-flamingicecubegames Thank you! On reflection I should have used the "no transitions" mode to have a really short black fade screen instead of one around the same length as the usual transitions- it ended up being a really long screen fade because I was determined to keep in the sound, I should have just added a shorter version of the sound! Thanks for the feedback :)
very great entry, I especially enjoyed the pixel art (also the cool transitions between scenes) and the sound. pretty fun way of doing a point and click game!
Nice navigation mechanic, and great work on the mood of the game. The game was bigger than the size of my screen (yeah, it's not the most recent) and wouldn't resize or go full-screen, but I could still complete it.
It took me a while to figure out that there was something to be done, not just lore-exposition and scene-transition. Maybe it was just because (spoilers!) ||the drawers|| were barely visible on my screen, so it was hard to click.
It's still an enjoyable game, you did great!
I really liked the color scheme, good job artist
Nice concept and perfect art !
Wow, very well done!
Wasn't able to figure out how to finish the game, but the concept is great. Gave me goosebumps when I realized what was happening.
Audio was great. Loved the background noises in the coffee shop.
@greytyphoon I was thinking of adding something to adjust for screen size, but I'd forgotten by the end of the project! (Sheer exhaustion, oops!) Will keep in mind for future projects though and I might make an updated build at some point and add it to the itch page. Another thing on my "must keep this in mind for future projects" list! :)
No **HT**ML build for a game called Stuck in the **Hypertext**? A missed opportunity if I ever saw one! :)
Loved the style and the colour scheme on this one.
Nice story and art ! Dialog sound is a bit annoying though, and I would have appreciated closing windows with a right click or escape rather than clicking on the top right corner everytime
Innovation in a point and click game is hard to do, but this was pretty unique. Good use of the theme. Could have expanded on the puzzles a bit but tough to do with 72 hours.
Cool story, good art! It would have been more fun if each transition cutscene was skippable or faster, but they were very stylish. Also, being able to click on the blank space around an item to close the item menu, and not just the arrow, would have been much more intuitive. I think if you improved the UX of the game and added some more interesting puzzles the looping time-stop concept is super interesting and worth seeing fleshed out!
Wonderful job with the mood! Really nice short game.
I enjoyed the experience. I did miss some background music! But you managed to create a nice ambiance in a GameMaker point and click game. Congratulations!
Cool take on the theme! Simple interactions, but some nice dialogue in there. Short but sweet game.
I'm amazed at the amount of narrative weight this pulled off in such a short time. I haven't seen a point and click game play with abstract movement between screens like that before and I think it works really well!
I did have a little trouble with the resolution, the window was larger than my screen and wouldn't resize.
Really cool little game, very interesting concept and great mood coming from good pixel art and suitable sound design. Also nice to see a Game Maker game - we used this engine for most of our jam games :D Solid entry, I love point'n click!
Nice art-house time travel concept. There's a potential for more story polished. There are some unique loops but you can easily get stuck. Which is basically the concept. Great idea, love the implementation!
