I drove a carload of people into the volcano :) I have a soft spot for these low poly games. I like how you can just drive around and do whatever. Also the car is massive compared to the houses hahah. I think it messes with your perception of distance because you don't expect it. With a few tweaks like this it should feel a bit more natural. Also the cloud things on the ground - im guessing its some kind of light cookie or mask? I think it would less distracting if it was a little less dark/sharp edged? Cool entry! Also love that the driver has a explorer hat lol
A very cool game with no big issues apart from the graphic ones: Having always a square that rises perfectly perpendicular as a shape for all the particles effect is kinda odd, the game feels a bit static ( maybe some grass swaying with the tress would be cool ) and the clouds on the ground are awkard

This game has a lot of character. I love how the people stack like sardines in the back seat. My car got stuck on its side next to a tree, so I wasn't able to save anyone :'(
Its a simple yet nice relaxing game. The signs on where to find the people and the arrows with directions were very helpful.
Game looks nice but I had a little trouble figuring out how to do anything other than drive forward and I ended up driving off in to the ocean :). The sound effects and movement were great. Maybe some more obvious help tips?
It looks great and it's very fun, loved it a lot, the controls are a bit annoying at times, the car just slides out way too easily, even with just 1 person on the car. Either way, i loved this, the low poly look and the objectives are funny and charming, great entry, congrats!

Unfortunately, the controls killed this for me. The car was frustratingly difficult to control. It didn't accelerate or respond to inputs quickly, if there was any braking, it hardly seemed effective, and getting enough control to stop in a safe space or pick up a passenger was too meticulous that it killed the pacing. I wanted to like this premise a lot more :(
The idea is great and I wanted to see it through to the end, but the controls and the repetitive engine noises kept me from enjoying this. Y'all should still be proud of making this in a single weekend. Well done! The models and triple compass display worked nicely.

Any game that has a low poly tropical island is good in my book.
I think this is a fun idea and with a bit more polish it could be really fun.
I liked driving around the island and think that leaning more into the exploration aspect would be good.
some issues -boost pads don't really work - only 30 seconds for a person driving up to the top seems too little - lol there are people at the escape boat. what are you waiting for! walk to the escape boat!
Volcano escape crazy taxi is a great idea tho
My favorite thing about the design was how the car became more difficult to control and "unstable" the more people you had in it ;)
Very nice little game. I liked that the car was very controllable despite the highly unstable physics. On the downside it felt a little empty of challenges to just compete against the clock. Overall I'm impressed!

@peterfiftyfour Thank you. Yeah those shadows are a shader effect. Toning it down a little would probably have helped it. And well you have to explore so that hat seems pretty fitting :D
@harrison-dunn Thank you for that thourough review :D. The car controler is a big issue we would have liked to improved but couldnt sadly. The breaking is a bit weird. When you let go off w and s it will break after a second or so. But if you press S it will not break which is pretty counter intuitive.
@bamberga Yeah maybe increasing it to a minute would be more of an incentive to actually sacrifice people. along with more people spawning in.
@weine I would have loved to add more little things to discover and do but we didnt have the time to do that
I really liked the graphics! It was super clear what everything was, the particles looked nice, and the island had a lot of good variety. I lol'd at how the people just stack up in the back seat - I actually had the most fun just trying to see how many I could stack before running out of time. My biggest frustration was with the acceleration - the car felt decently responsive when turning, but trying to accelerate/decelerate felt really slippery. Overall it was fun, and I liked the different "endings" depending on how you died!
I liked the look of the game, and the idea that the car becomes more unstable the more people you carry. However I found the car to be a bit to uncontrollable when empty, for example taking quite a while to break to a full stop. Also I don't know it was intentional but when you die and respawn the timer resets but not the people you have picked up, they are no longer found at their buildings.
