Nice concept tho it took me 5 minutes to figure out how to place other segments.
Really fun game overall but i felt disappointed: i heard that fire soundtrack and expected some dope sfx; instead nothing :( even sounds made with sfxr could make this 100 times better The idea is there and the game is fun. Keep it up.
This fits the theme pretty perfectly. I like games where you build up and customize your player object in a creative way. Making the ship have to be balanced or else it destroys itself slowly is a really clever mechanic! Add some shooting sound effects and this game would feel much more alive. Great submission though, and a really well made game.
Super cool concept here and very creative usage of the theme. Retro graphics are a big + Interactivity could use some fine tuning but that's expected in a jam game. Great work
Added some sfx now
Damn this is a big brain concept! Really hard too, I only got to 10 before it all fell. I really like the variety of threats, the graphics and sound are all super nice too and complement each other perfectly. The only thing I can kinda complain about is that knowing where to place stuff and whether you have enough money isn't super obvious, the sprite gets just a little more opaque. Really good job though, this could be a whole game!
The start is a bit rough, finding the right balance, but the end-game is really fun. Special enemy attacks like the super-laser and those green weight-blobs keep you busy even after a while. Well done. (edit: reminds me a bit of the game Stratosphere) image.png
It's really hard to play at start. But as you understand the game it gets easier. It's a super cool concept that totally fits the theme!
The core system is solid, you get the unstable feel real quick, really fits the theme. Pun intended.
There is nothing to add, really. You almost could release it as is, maybe add some variety to building blocks and enemies later down the line as a dlc or something. It was a kinda humbling experience to try it out, not gonna lie. Makes me question myself so hard it's insane.
super cool and creative! i love the art and the music.
This is a really neat concept and it fits the theme very well! I love how the ship destroys itself if you don't have the right balance. I had a hard time finding the right distance to click around the spaceship but my computer has a high resolution and for some reason it made the UI smaller than you guys wanted it to be. Great job though I really like it!
@jayjack I didn't even think ui scaling could be a problem :sweat_smile:
I'll make sure to add an UI scale slider for the post jam version. Thanks for reporting
I like the concept so much also as I find it so difficult to build a spaceship in so unstable environment

At this point I feel like my ship is basically indestructible and I have a ton of credits. When the big ships with the insta-kill lasers come, I just freeze the ship so it doesn't get unbalanced and replace the broken parts.
Very good game, simple and entertaining
@icylava A lot of people said the exact same thing and I feel kind of dumb for not stumbling upon this whithin the deadline. (I seriously never tried building asymmetrically  )
At the moment just spamming random segments everywhere is a valid strategy, which of course is not ideal and completely removes the challenge.
I am however planning on updating the game after the rating phase is over. It will be more balanced and more user friendly. (I'm already working on it and so far it looks very promising  )
Thanks for the straight forward feedback!
This was a cool game! It was really tricky to not get hit by my own fire! Once I figured a system out it was pretty doable to deal with the enemies. Very nice entry, interested to see the post jam version!
Please add some instructions on the page:
- Hit `tab` to bring up menu in case you need to restart. - `Freeze` is not a part, but a temporary "powerup" to lock your ship in place.
Should save some time to figure things out and start actually playing.
Hey there! This game was really amazing to play! Thanks for joining us live!
I finally had the time to come back and rate everything I played so far!
Here is a link to the vod of the review if you wish to see it again: https://www.youtube.be/watch?v=AiVWayIqffU&t=19942s
@ic-rainbow Thanks for telling me. I'll add some more info now
@togis Thanks for checking it out and for all the constructive feedback you two gave! I'll make sure to implement most of it in the post-jam version  .
@Reispfannenfresser if you make your post jam version, send it over so we can try it again!
The update is now public :tada: I will still change some bits, but I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
