Nice job, controls felt good, game play feels good.
Lol it took me one hot minute to realize the levels are looping. But even when I managed to go back to left side in the falling crate room, it just took me back to the previous room and then to the room before that(the spiral one). I suck too much to get the ending lol.
Once past the left side on the falling crate, you will need to jump off screen to the left again, then you will reach the end =) sorry for it being hard, it was made from two programmers. *It was a little hard for us too
The game looks so cute and I love how you've used the loop mechanic. Great job!
@anant-ahuja Yeah we wanted to put some narrating text to make it more obvious they were looping (there was supposed to be Dr. Loop moking the player character, suggesting they were doing the same thing over and over like a rat in a maze). Sadly we ran out of time and had to ship with what we got.
I had a couple of problems/feedbacks. Those are: the jump feels buggy, like there is "motion blur". The jump sound sounds weird. There should, in my opinion, an idle animation ( just moving the player 1 pixel lower ). Also, sometimes when you change scene you might float.
@galse87 the "motion blur" is caused by the pixel perfect camera and there's little to do about it, even older Nintendo games had it.
The idle animation couldn't be done in time, we were two working on it and a programmer (me) did the graphics, so yeah, working outside my field while programming...
Floating mid-room transition is intended, it's a reference to the older Mega Man games.
Thanks for your feedback anyway! Jumping and controls could have definitely improved upon.
@tefatika oh ok I did not know it was a reference to Mega Man games lol. But, you don't have to make idle animations fancy. the one I made was only the character head going one pixel down lol
neat little game. good job!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Nice take on the theme! The controls felt good & I liked the retro style 🙂
A great game, good job!
Nice entry. Love the physics for the box !
Nice puzzle game :)
I love your inspirations, i can definatly see those, very good work on physics and i love the jump's sound :D
Jump is a bit buggy, but I enjoyed it overall
I didn't find the exit! Too difficult to play!
Hey I could not figure out how to play the game, could not jump high enough to finish the first level. Am I missing something? :(
I had a really hard time getting started, as the jump bug made it hard for me to get through the first room, but once I got the hang of it I managed to go ahead. I did not manage to beat the game however, but I liked how the levels looped, and the physics of the boxex.
Good job, thanks for sharing!
good job :)
Is it a Bug or A Feature
Wow!!! welldone, love this game!
Thank you so much, we both had a blast figuring out everything and across continents. =D super happy you had fun!
What an exciting lab dr. Loop has, of course no one wants to leave it ever. again. I like this little experience you created, although did not manage to escape, I am stuck with the crates forever :D Very nice color scheme!
I really like the simple graphics and I liked the way the transition between levels is done, great use of the theme, it's definitely a loop! Good job!
@joaog Thank you so much for playing! It was really fun to make but man getting the camera to work with us was insane lol. we had more we wanted to put in but alas. Till the next jam!
