STAMP! by Lucien Catonnet 2020-10-06T10:06:47Z
Should've worked with "stamp" on the keyboard.
Jokes aside, I really liked this one.

Thumbs up for the graphics and - wow - written in assembler in one day! GZ
Amazing game, three days?!
The idea is cool, sadly some bosses don't exploit the core mechanic (stationary targets basically take all the bullets from the player). But it's ok considering it's a game jam, designing such bosses takes some time.
I wanted to finish this game, but while fiddling around with the UI I opened the menu, read "back", clicked on it instinctively cause I wanted to go back to playing the game and it returned me to the main menu instead, losing all my progress. I wanted to start a new game, but the game bugged as I clicked "start".
I like the concept, smart way to make a long game with relatively few assets.
@anant-ahuja Yeah we wanted to put some narrating text to make it more obvious they were looping (there was supposed to be Dr. Loop moking the player character, suggesting they were doing the same thing over and over like a rat in a maze). Sadly we ran out of time and had to ship with what we got.
@galse87 the "motion blur" is caused by the pixel perfect camera and there's little to do about it, even older Nintendo games had it.
The idle animation couldn't be done in time, we were two working on it and a programmer (me) did the graphics, so yeah, working outside my field while programming...
Floating mid-room transition is intended, it's a reference to the older Mega Man games.
Thanks for your feedback anyway! Jumping and controls could have definitely improved upon.
