It took me a minute to figure out you're meant to alternate between s/d to run, and the little back and forth animation is funny. I like how you can control angle subtly when throwing by holding out space.
The way you handled acceleration is very nice building up to the throw, but the way you come to a stop is harder to figure out. I had many attempts where I slid over the line and heard the beep while my javelin was already on the way down.
The sound effects are nice. A wind speed sound might add character to the game or feedback to the player on faster/better throws.
Overall it was a fun game, trying to repeatedly beat my highscore (I got 292).

I edited the description to mention mashing of S and D.
Yea, I agree that the sliding (because I was too lazy to animate steps) after throwing is quite unclear. Perhaps I should simply stop the movement after the throw. Alternatively, the camera could show the player for a moment before moving to the flying javelin. Or the player could stop faster, I don't know. I just resorted to the simple solution to follow the javelin all the time.
Those wind speed indicators and feedback definitely sound interesting.

This is some simple, good fun. It feels fundamentally pretty nice to control, and I actually appreciate that there's no automatic stopping. It adds an extra layer of depth trying not to overstep.
My top score for now is 343: http://i.imgur.com/ZYLcZS5.png

Fun game, managed a 268 after a few tries! The graphics are acceptable and the music and sounds are fitting. And it did get my fingers hurt a bit, even more than my game!
The only way I managed to play was reading the comments -- I thought there was some javelin throwing rule I didn't know, but turns out my character just slid after throwing.

It makes me think to "Track and field" game on Nintendo.
Nice work!

i really like this kind of games! i made 399.
also i checkd after 450 or something like that there is no more scenario :o
congrats for the fun mechanic
Enjoyable! Like the music. Could use more typical PC controls and prevent your character stepping over the line after a throw from counting as a foul.
Very simple game but still very enjoyable, the controls were a bit akward at first maybe but still I had fun. I wasn't very good though. I only got 254 as score.
Nice and simple, I got 268. It was fun. Good Job!
Cool idea for a game , in the long run after a while started to be boring :< I got 254 :D

This was addictive! I managed to score 319, and now my fingers hurt :P
Simple game, but hard to let go of :-)
It kind of took me back to my youth, playing various atheltics games with a joystick on my C64! Great fun!
Well done!

I really like these kind of skill games. Very easy to learn, really hard to .... throw something acceptable :D
Music fits very well!
Oh yeah! The mix of getting the right angle while mashing quickly is a great combination, a little bit like patting your head and rubbing your stomach at the same time

I have to install a bunch of lib...:i386 for this to run, now after the fifth I give up. Please pack everything I need into whatever you deliver so I don't have to fiddle around with this. You don't not want your users to have to do that, even if it seems common in the Linux community!
