LD30 — Connected Worlds

Lorries In SPAAAAACE! by AtkinsSJ 2014-08-26T18:25:00

Took me 6 minutes to win in my third try (after figuring out that buying many planets in a row is bad and buying too much for your first trip is also bad) :). Was pretty easy after figuring that out. Try adding audio next time!

Upside Down by kewry 2014-08-26T11:05:00

Very cool. Amazing soundtrack. Maybe a little too many enemies but still a good job. Congratulations!

Or|Bit by blurryroots 2014-08-26T18:35:00

Was easy to understand from the start, the sound made everything better and made the not-so-good camera controls bearable, as I could hear what was going on. It could have a few more levels though.

Overall, I had fun. Great job!

Multidimensional Tube Linker by n42k 2014-08-26T07:32:00

Wow, thanks guys <3!

Multidimensional Tube Linker by n42k 2014-09-01T12:55:00

Thanks Jupi!

Ferryman by ashdnazg 2014-08-25T10:51:00

Great idea to connect our world and the underworld. Great (and humourous!) sounds effects and soundtrack. Could be a little more difficult, I had many more boats than needed.

I saw your post while making my LD by the way ;), great to see you've made it!

twone minds by Tonasz 2014-08-25T10:40:00

Very similar mechanic to my game. Loved to play as it reminded me of it and presents the same difficulties.

Conker The Universe by JimMakesGames 2014-08-25T09:57:00

Good idea with the theme in mind, simple to understand gameplay, had fun. Was a little difficult to select planets, but that's a small issue. No audio.

Conker The Universe by JimMakesGames 2014-08-25T10:41:00

My bad, I was running all the games with the windows binaries and firefox had a volume of 0%. Updated my ratings accordingly.

Black Box Bandit by BillToWin 2014-08-25T09:43:00

I quite enjoyed how a simple mechanic was able to make such a difficult game. I'm not sure yet if the red drones have AI but they seem to always jump at me if I jump close to them. The difficulty curve, despite the auto-balancing, seems a bit too steep though.

Conglomerates by A333 2014-08-25T10:22:00

Quite enjoyable game with a solid, done before, idea. Simplistic and appealing graphics. Fitting sound effects.

Just a minor bug: when I press my mouse outside your game while in one of the "tutorials" it skips it.

Linking by handkor 2014-08-26T07:52:00

I could not play this at playable rates due to the very high detail so I can't rate. However, I did like the detail put into this game.

Third Law by smugbit 2014-08-26T07:42:00

Very nice, simplistic, but still very much appealing, game. Gets much harder after a little bit but that only makes it better. Unfortunately there are no sounds.

Third Law by smugbit 2014-08-26T07:48:00

Oh, by the way: could you provide a windows binary so I can keep this offline?

WCOM by ShadowTzu 2014-08-25T16:11:00

Engine and gameplay are rock solid.

Unfortunately, after the first run it feels rather repetitive and there is also no audio. I had to quit after I found the following bug, however: http://puu.sh/b7pih/4239f466c4.jpg.

Sllukswefa by Nanolotl 2014-08-25T11:21:00

Wow. I finished the game. And I have to tell you that the interactions between the worlds were GENIUS. Congratulations, I loved it! Despite pressing ESC after almost having finished it accidentally, I still managed to finish it without feeling bored. It was a very enjoyable experience for me.

I loved the extreme dark humor in the city world which I discovered almost instantaneously, overall a great game, nice job!

Shame there are no sounds and I have to rate N/A, shame!

Fiscally Judicious by whilefun 2014-08-28T20:50:00

Wow, well-executed game with a genius message behind it, I loved playing this and maximizing profits! Unfortunately, and correct me if I'm wrong, there were no sounds.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Stallman Quest by n42k 2015-08-25T03:42:00

Nope!

Wasted Waters by psychonull 2015-08-26T12:00:00

Very fun game, had me hooked for a while, it's a bit frustrasting that you can't see the humans on the bridge and you have to guess where they here and hope the best, but apart from that, it's amazing.

Zombie Tactics by MattV 2015-08-25T04:05:00

"An error occured running the Unity content on this page. See your browser's JavaScript console for more info. The error was: UnknownError"

I'm on Firefox + Linux, get that error when I try to start the game, can't run it.

Too Late, Too Bitter by JackDegree 2015-08-25T20:08:00

It's very fun, but too short, it ended right when I was starting to get into it!

Monster Simulator? by retrogradeorbit 2015-08-25T04:09:00

I wasn't quite sure whether there were win/lose conditions. It's quite fun to go around killing sheep, although frustrasting after a while of nothing other than killing the sheep happening.

Dis-Guy by SushiDestroy 2015-08-26T19:51:00

Nice graphics, too bad it isn't finished yet

Dive Demon Dive by MrSun 2015-08-25T02:43:00

Really fun, colorful graphics and cool mechanics.

God has a system by jordinuco 2015-08-25T10:56:00

Interesting existential thought, being the creation of some programmer in some other universe. I enjoyed it for a while, although my people turn bad really quickly! Good job!

Detached by khahem 2015-08-25T02:52:00

Good graphics and some very interesting puzzles. However it gets a bit boring after the first few tries.

Sobaken by A_K_ 2015-08-25T03:29:00

Hey A_K_, I added a loading screen to my entry, you might want to check it out again, I think you should be able to run it.

Also, I can't run yours because I am on Linux.

Drill Defender by DrYitMat 2015-08-26T12:02:00

Unfortunately, Unity does not run on Linux.

The Last Demon by 9.ar7k 2015-08-25T03:05:00

Clearly fun at the beginning. Gets repetitive quickly as levels are only changed very slightly. I love the sound! The enemies don't wander very far from the middle so you can just hide in a corner and slowly kill them all.

Desert Dinner by PushpinderSingh 2015-08-25T04:04:00

Can't run it on Firefox + Linux.

Dude, Stop by Patomkin 2015-08-31T19:09:00

Fits the theme very well. Simple, yet fun!

Boss M.O.B. by Bitterdeath 2015-08-25T19:08:00

Really simple, it got quite difficult towards the end, but it was still fun!

LD36 — Ancient Technology

THE BOX by ReboundGames 2016-08-31T08:25:00

I loved the detail in the animations and the very fitting sounds, the environment around the game is great. Unfortunately I'm not that good with riddles so I couldn't complete it, gave up on the second level and gasped when I saw the answer in the source code.

Explojan Horse by cottontrek 2016-09-02T07:03:00

Cannot run this, no Linux version. Could you release the source code so I can try compiling it on my machine? Or do you use something Windows-only?

Do robots dream of flying dog baskets? by A Little Red Panda 2016-09-01T13:23:00

Found a couch looking thing in the "Cats and Dogs" place, found the fans and the power. Built a pulley. Was then stuck.

Rat-tato Power by Jelinib 2016-08-31T08:45:00

Loved it! My max score was 355, with just 1 exploded. Wish there was a leaderboard so I could keep playing to beat everyone!

Ancient Maze of Epla by xesenix 2016-09-03T09:00:00

Amazing graphics, good music. Gameplay is compelling and got me hooked for a while, even though I don't particularly enjoy these kinds of games, I rage quit after almost completing level 2 and being blocked. Very good game in general, congratulations! Nice to see someone else on Kongregate like I :)!

Ancient Robots by TimBeaudet 2016-09-08T00:39:00

Experimental Linux build runs perfectly!

Gameplay itself was interesting, I thought it was one of those visual programming games at first (Such as "Golem", in this LD, at http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-36/?action=preview&uid=45115), but it was far from that. The card system made it random and fun, and since I was forced to pick 5 cards it was sometimes difficult to choose the best combination.

I figured out how to play without reading any instructions, which is very good.

Sound effects were very fitting, maybe there could have been music?

Egypt Technology by stefvanschie 2016-09-03T09:27:00

Running on Linux, a small text issue (http://i.imgur.com/e4AjIn9.png). The game had an interesting start, wish there was more to it! Music felt nice.

Error 404: Floppy Disc Not Found by marfis 2016-09-03T08:05:00

Hi! Could you release the source code so I can run it with Linux? Thanks!

Psychic Squid by Mottafier 2016-09-03T08:07:00

Would love to play this, but I run Linux.

Fiery Sword by Kazik_210 2016-09-02T11:07:00

Could not play as it does not run on Linux.

An Historic Defense by hermetic 2016-09-03T08:29:00

Highest wave first try: 5.
Highest wave second try: 10.

Graphics are okay, sound effects are decent. Default mouse sensivity was fine. I loved how difficult it was at the beginning when starting out, it was quick to figure out too! Unfortunately, by the end of the game, it felt repetitive for me, their AI is rather easy to beat and I feel there isn't much I can do when I make a little mistake and lose 1 HP permanently (Maybe next time you could add a way to recover health?).

Either way, a very good game, especially if it's your first one. Congratulations!

Rune Stacker by drnick 2016-09-08T00:54:00

Very cool concept for a game. I love how you took Stacker and added the rotating rings.

Managed 35 on my third try!

Ancient Factory City by StMatn 2016-09-03T09:43:00

The game play itself feels great and I wish I could play it. After carefully reading the controls I figured out how to play it, that's not an issue. But the controls themselves are too difficult to use, making it harder to interact with the game, than the game itself. Please do extend this game and put it out somewhere, I'd love to see what comes out of it!

Wing Warrior by n42k 2016-08-29T02:11:00

Awh, you missed most of it! That was on purpose!

I added a note to my entry, hopefully people will see it and at least acknowledge it.

Wing Warrior by n42k 2016-09-01T19:11:00

komilll: in the description: "Sword fighting isn't the only content, there's flying too!"

Thanks to everyone else!

Pix Eliz Great tiny adventure by mat1er 2016-09-03T08:31:00

Does not run on Linux.

Fireworks Grandmaster by local minimum 2016-09-01T16:14:00

Does not run on Linux, which is strange for Unity and HTML5.

Fireworks Grandmaster by local minimum 2016-09-02T08:25:00

@local minimum: weird, it ran today after I tried it again, not too sure why. Well, I'm glad it works, because I'm trying it out now!

Once I figured out how to play, it was very fun figuring out what the customers wanted. Works just fine and dragging feels easy. Graphics and music are great. Just wish the text was faster.

Javelipes by Tegu 2016-09-02T08:07:00

Fun game, managed a 268 after a few tries! The graphics are acceptable and the music and sounds are fitting. And it did get my fingers hurt a bit, even more than my game!

The only way I managed to play was reading the comments -- I thought there was some javelin throwing rule I didn't know, but turns out my character just slid after throwing.

DIGGIN' by Brackeys 2016-09-01T13:31:00

Does not run/takes a while to load without a progress bar on Linux.

DIGGIN' by Brackeys 2016-09-01T13:39:00

Ended up running after a while.

Amazing game, really hooked me in! The graphics are good and the sounds very fitting. Got 10k after 2 tries, not sure how good that is.

thepyramid by Junber 2016-09-02T15:06:00

Shame that you used SDL and didn't release the source code/made a Linux build! Please do, I will check it later!

tEGGnology by thomz12 2016-09-02T08:18:00

Music and art are simply beautiful! I thought this would be just a game about moving right endlessly with no difficulty at first, but that proved wrong after I stopped suddenly. Meeting the dragon was very fun after it cracked my egg! Unlocked all the techs, managed a few 100m+ scores. Wish there was a way to see my highscore to see how far I've gotten.

Easily the best LD36 game in all 32 I've gone through so far.

Azymuth by Geckoo1337 2016-09-02T07:02:00

Cannot run this, no Linux version. This looks like Unity and, if so, could you export a Web version?

Antikythera Mechanism by thegunmaster 2016-09-02T08:01:00

Tried running the .jar on Linux to no success: the main menu is displayed and I managed to read 2 screens of dialogue, but after that, the game crashes with a NullPointerException: http://pastebin.com/6WN1wFt4.

Evacuate by Eggplant 2016-09-03T09:36:00

Runs fine on Linux. Gameplay itself is interesting and hooked me for a bit, managed to figure it out easily, I love these kinds of games! The AI could be improved upon, I had enemies in the middle of the screen tearing through everything when I had lots of houses dedicated for defense. The user interface is hard to use, can't really tell which profession I'm dragging to which house.

Golem by Yazara 2016-09-02T15:15:00

Graphics and sounds are great! The concept itself is interesting and got me hooked. Gameplay could be faster (the button didn't help with this). Going to the next level sometimes took too long.

The Sleeper by dollarone 2016-09-01T16:00:00

Loved the game!

The mix of large blocks of texts and gameplay was very interesting. It was rather hard to figure out a way to get ahead in the game (which is a good thing!), and the graphics were very fitting!

Sadly, a small bug made the game crash for me as I was starting to win. Will play again soon!

Tic Tac Toe - Commodore 64 by tphx 2016-09-02T07:12:00

Instructions for running on Arch Linux:
Install vice: pacman -S vice
Download and extract the "LD36 TPHX.zip" (in the "Commodore 64" link)
Navigate to the directory where you extracted it and run: x64 TICTACTOE.PRG

Looks like a nice implementation! Wish I could try getting it to run on a C64.

DYSCOVR by Sean 2016-09-01T18:00:00

This is a work of art! Graphics and music are extremely fitting, felt amazing to play even though there wasn't too much to do.

Great job!

Heat Ray Defense by BoltKey 2016-08-31T08:17:00

I like it! I originally wanted to do something similar to this.
Wish I could point the mirrors to my mouse though instead of dragging them around. But maybe that is part of the difficulty of the game?

Back to Nature by QuestionableQuality 2016-09-02T15:04:00

Fitting graphics and music, control scheme could be improved upon. Gameplay is brutal (a good thing!) Had it had a better control scheme, I'd have loved it!

Stranded by theCrancher 2016-09-03T08:35:00

Would have played this if it ran on Linux, looks interesting. Will check back later.

Lanterns Light by johnasebok 2016-09-02T06:59:00

Cannot run this, no Linux version. Can you export a Web version?

Call of the Ancients by fenwick 2016-08-31T08:33:00

If to progress the game I must make an actual call I can't do it as I don't live in the US.

Squarehead Man and the Weather Machines by Xoko14 2016-09-03T08:40:00

Few spelling mistakes.

Crashes before getting to the game on Linux. Console log: http://pastebin.com/RdLWg8by.

If you want, pass by the IRC and I'm willing to test new builds.

City Clicker by iwiws 2016-09-02T07:44:00

A very fun game with lots of promise for polishing and release, that currently might have a few more bugs than wanted. Graphics are very fitting.

Congratulations!

Tappy Catapult by Mordokay 2016-08-31T08:52:00

Does not display correctly in the embedded player, see scrollbars on bottom and right. Fine in the Web link, which I've used to write my comment.

It's quite hard, I like it! I was unable to restart the level when I dropped the boulder to the left of the catapult to see what would happen. Gave up due to that.
