This game looks great. It isnt too complicated and is a cool idea that is very appealing. I enjoyed the uniqueness of this game and how creative it was. Overall it was a very great game. 10/10 would play again.

I couldn't find a way to get past the first brown wall in the first level :( . I suspect it has something to do with the computer but I can't find a way to use it either, everything is greyed out in the interface and it just has a few cogs spinning around. I like the art style and the animation very much. The music was very nice too. The screams of the dying enemies was a bit too much, but I get the caricatural intention behind it. So I guess it just lacks clearer instruction/tutorial/interface for me to clear the game.
Disclaimer: I played the Ludum version, not the post compo one.
@Bobsleigh you need to connect the spinning cogs by dragging your mouse inside the computer area (provided you have collected the necessary cogs). Then you should be able to select a "hacking action" on the left. Also, there may be more actions (in level two for instance), so it matters where you click when you're about to perform "the hack".
That said, it took me a while to figure this out, and a tutorial explaining it would be nice.
I like the idea, hacking with an ancient computer, and it was executed quite well.
The graphics and the music were also okay - I especially like the animation playing when you're using the computer (be it smashing the spartians or actually using it).
Overall, I like the concept, but for some reason, it stopped being fun for me sometime during the second level. I do think it's a good game, but, apparently, not my type.
By the way, the game seems to be running in the background after I quit it, I had to shut it down using the task manager - might want to look into it, if you haven't already.
This game is pretty interesting! The art style has a nice cartoon feel, and the hacking mechanic reminded me of the game Flow. Clever mechanic and overall a solid project!
@cottontrek That is because we just looked for simple puzzle games online, so we actually just made it after flow XD. Hour version is a bit worse though ofc.

Interesting concept. I played LD version. Like was said before, game doesn't quit and also it eats a lot of memory. After first level game took 800mb of ram. After second level it took 1600 mb of ram. Looks like memory leak. Also it is fun that computer was used to smash enemies :)
Interesting game, and catchy music. But I couldn't get past the brown wall in the second level. Also, the character screamed when I entered the second level.
Tried running the .jar on Linux to no success: the main menu is displayed and I managed to read 2 screens of dialogue, but after that, the game crashes with a NullPointerException: http://pastebin.com/6WN1wFt4.
@n42k that sucks, I don't have any Linux system myself, so I am not able to test it myself unfortunatly. I think the error you sent me I could fix, but I still would have no idea if it works afterwards :(
I really liked the music. The puzzles were cool but I dont think the fighting is necessary in a puzzle game. If you think the fighting should still be there, there atleast should be respawn points around the levels.
The game is good, performance is fine puzzle is kinda bit bothering
Haha it's kinda nice!
I like the bgm it sounds as if GTA was in ancient greek.
And the old dude with the computer is a greek oldman thug. XD
I couldn't stop thinking about it hahaha!!
But overall pretty solid game, well done :D
Oh just forgot to mention - there was a bug:
The grey platform of the last level had problems with it's hitbox... seems like an extra block hitbox.
Hey! After seeing your comments on our game (Journey of a Robot) I tried your game and it was really funny!
I loved the concept even if I didn't understand quickly how to places the cogs.
I got some freeze while loading the game but else everything was fine
