This is a cool game! Art and audio are all very well done, tho the game does feel very short.

That was a really funny game ! I loved to discover the small town, kudo's for the voice acting. Ruby seems like a quite high-maintenance-type, though...

ruling-spear 2020-10-06 16:11

Thanks for the comments guys. I actually found a game breaking bug in the Ruby scene. Just changed it now to load the correct scene. Ruby has some more questions for you. :)

There should be a depth sorter. Feels weird to walk on top of everything. Funny game!

ananas-j 2020-10-06 20:07

Nice concept ! Art is really cool ! :D

zeonblue 2020-10-06 20:56

Haha, cool game!

Suggestion: You could have the "towns people" you save drops little hints the player should use when answering the conversation quiz.

ruling-spear 2020-10-06 21:35

@patrickjr Thanks for the play. Yea, I was going to get there, but time got to me. I almost wanted to remove some of the trees and things, but it would have looked empty without it.

ruling-spear 2020-10-06 22:23

@ZeonBlue That is a great idea. The townsfolk should know here better. Thanks for playing.

The game is so funny. The graphics, sfx, and the story is so good (especially the cat and the scentist's voice).

tamail 2020-10-07 18:03

Really fun and funny game! I loved bringing the kitten back to its owner :D

zeu31 2020-10-07 21:34

Really funny game.

It is an interesting idea. I just wish there was an away to know the right answer other than guessing. Something like ZeonBlue said. Or maybe some disposition system.

Loved your voiceover of the professor! The idea for this was great, I kinda like the whole Groundhog day theme in general. It got a bit repetitive though, as my 'talking to girls skill' apparently sucks. Apart from a few bugs here and there it was a nice game, and I had fun, and eventually managed to 'get the girl' :-) Good job, and thanks for sharing!

First unoficial "Groundhog day" game I play. That's cool. No many things to do in town. No cars or danger that could cost your life (restart the loop). I really wanted to trie lot of things if I live a day forever. Nice graphics. Cool Idea. Need some fun.

ruling-spear 2020-10-12 11:54

Thanks @r2d48, time got me. I planned a whole lot of town folk, some bad guys, and to fit the theme of groundhog day, some random attacking groundhogs. I will definitely flesh it out some more.

Wow! The animations and art are amazing! Well done! Also if you can control the Z-depth to see what graphics you need to put in front can improve the atmosphere of the game. Also, you can control better the voices, sometimes are overlapping. Despite that, the mood and the vibe of the game are owesome. Congrats!

totteriludum 2020-10-15 06:54

Haha, I like the voiceover! Slightly rough around the edges, but a good interpretation of the theme.

ruling-spear 2020-10-16 09:43

Thanks @peterfonts and @totteriludum. I love voice overs and got a bit carried away. Planned on giving the others voices as well, but I overshot the scope there. I didn't even get to the z-depth at all and had to fix some last minute bugs and collider issues. Well, I was happy with it being my first Gamejam. The characters are assests I bought about a year ago and made the animations easy. Next one I hope to get my own art done as I'm busy studying it now. Thanks for the play!

Nice game, the art is amazing and it is so much fun!

slammer 2020-10-22 01:15

blacktarus 2020-10-25 13:51

Really Impressive Graphics, I like the idea (Black Mirror is your inspiration ? ;) )
