I liked the graphics and the puzzles were interesting. Flying the drone was quite fun although obviously that was just a sub puzzle. The music from the boombox was a little loud but I guess that just goes to show I'm on the mom elephant's side :P. Nice work!

Nicely done!
Hey a point-and-click on a subway. Glad I wasn't the only one to make the loop-subway connection. And that we chose the same genre too. lol. Obviously massively different games but still cool to see.

Lovely little game
10/10 drone controls!
This game is something dude :)) I didn't get bored at all. music was cool, noice low poly models and PERFECT drone mechanics. I could play it for hours if it was a full game. (also would be glad if you'd check out my game, tnx)

The linux version aborts at startup. Too bad!
``` $ ./LD47\ -\ Mind\ the\ Gap.x86_64 /tmp/MTG Set current directory to /tmp/MTG Found path: /tmp/MTG/LD47 - Mind the Gap.x86_64 [1] 20474 abort ./LD47\ -\ Mind\ the\ Gap.x86_64 ```
This is a fun game! Although I didn't get my tree fiddy! :sob:
This had a 'Little big adventure' wipe to it. Triggered a bit of a nostalgia rush in me :-) The boom box was a bit loud. I loved the drone, was quite well done. I also managed to get out of there, so that was great :-)
Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work!
Very intriguing puzzle that is neither too hard or easy. Great little game and loving the looping music, very upbeat. One suggestion I will make is perhaps making a bigger distinction between our lines and the npc, like having different font size or color. Beside that, great game!
Sorry about the audio issue! I hope I didn't blow out anyone's speakers / ears. At some point I lowered the volume of the Unity editor in my sound mixer, so I made the whole game with the lowered volume. I just changed the master volume in the game's settings and re-uploaded it. It's just a tweaked setting and it might save some ears, so I don't think this is cheating, but I thought it was only fair to mention the post-jam change.
I took a look at the Linux version in VirtualBox and can confirm it's broken, but I really have no idea what the issue is. I messed with it a little but didn't get anywhere. Hopefully I can figure it out soon!
I liked your game my congratulations, I also did one if you want to know, and give me your feedback I am very grateful, this is the link https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/47/resurrection
Really fun one! :smile: I'm very impressed by what you produced !
It's a shame that you didn't have time to finish :sob: I hope you'll finish it! I want to know more about this engineer! :laughing:
Hahahaahaha preatty fun to play. Loved the end lines
Five stars? I wish I could give it ten!
Lovely music, adorable characters, even a little drone mini game within the puzzle game. Ambitious project, sorry you couldn't quite get all the story in - great job nonetheless!
Nice game, just wish it was longer, just as you said in the game. Well done
Saw this game in a Twitch stream. I can attest that it worked on a Mac.
I really liked the origami style characters. And the hidden Ludum Dare jokes were funny.
Just one thing to add would be to have the text of player choices in a different color or something. I honestly didn't realize they were choices at first. I thought the game had bugged out and frozen because I was on a Mac.
@johnsensei thanks for the feedback and thanks for letting me know it works on a Mac!
Nicely done! Neat little story.
I greatly approve of the sense of humor in the writing. I'd be excited to play a full-fledged adventure game by the author of this game!
Funny little adventure game. I couldn't figure out how to convince the boombox guy to stop his music. But it's okay, the music was cool. :-)
Fun little game and Neat story! I hope you learned a lot!
Liked the unique graphics and puzzle you thought up, the dialog to give the player clues was good too. I wish there was a way to break the boombox tho if you did put it in my bad for missing it. Also I do with there was more.
fun game, wish I would have gotten my three fiddy though :(
This was fun. Loved the music and the dialogs were good too. The drone was fun to control. Would've loved to play more. The colors for dialog options can be changed though to make them look like choices. Good work overall!
Partly match the theme, maybe next time it will be better.. Average audio, it not bad but not good, try harded next time. Not good graphics, maybe next time. Game is fun, but not as good as I hope so.
I enjoyed playing your game. Mostly for the humor and the story. Funny dialogs :-) The theme is not very present (all this kind of point and click game are based on the same principle to find a way to unlock a way), but the characters and the scenery are a good base. With better graphics and animations (The monkey is moving very jerky) it could be a very nice little game.
"Okay bye" hahahahahahaha. It was shot but it was pretty fun and funny hahaha. The drone controlled really nice. Just as the music started growing on me and I was headbanging to it the game ended hahaha
It's a shame you didn't have enough time to finish the game :( I wanted to silence this impudent mouse :)
Cool game! I liked your take on the theme, and flying the drone was particularly fun. I would like to see a longer version that goes through multiple train cars.
Lovely game. Like how every element was there, the dialog, the animation, the music and the atmosphere. The models are great, it was quite refreshing to play a puzzle adventure in a world with physics (like the drone). Really well done, and its cool you made the music on a pocket operator, I have one and they are great fun.
P.S. The linux version works fine for me, just had to make it executable with `chmod +x LD47\ -\ Mind\ the\ Gap.x86_64`.
Cool Game, didn't expect a Point'n'Click Game to be honest I really liked the sick beats! Good that I could finish the Game without them.
I think I've encountered a Bug. I could knock down the Post its with the Drone, but the Game told me they're to hard to reach...
But anyways, I could escape from the Train! :D
It's great, totally think you should take it further! Flying the drone was definitely the best part, way to go!
That was a lot of fun! I love little point and clicks, and the characters and their dialogue were cute and funny. Having a little mini game in the middle in the form of controlling the drone was also a really nice touch. Short and sweet, great work!
A fun experience to be sure! The graphics and movement were neat and the story was pretty interesting.
As a solo dev with a short time constraint, this was a stylish, funky and fun adventure! The drone was definitely a surprising part, it's an exciting mix of mini-game and point-and-click adventure!
I'm curious to see where the story will go and how the monkey will save the train from the loop or loopy engineer! You did a great job and I hope you continue your work!
The humor was great! I gotta check out the pocket operators, the song you made sounds really nice!
A point and click is definitely not the easiest genre to master for a game jam, and ou did great with very little. The puzzle was not frustratingly hard, but not too easy either. Interactions are fluid and feel natural. Good job!
The music was very annoying though, I understand why daddy elephant wanted it to stop :elephant:
Awww sucks to read you ran out of time! Was a fun experience either way though! Loved the moment I could fly the drone, as it felt as I was just promised more invested gameplay only to come to a full stop. Sad. I would rate 10/10 if I could (no seriously, pls continue this game)
Hey, I just tested the Linux build, it works just fine! Like @eldogg mentioned, all you need to do is give `LD47 - Mind the Gap.x86_64` the 'execute' permission, which my file manager did for me automatically :)
```sh chmod +x 'LD47 - Mind the Gap.x86_64' ```
or right click it in file manager, go to properties, permissions, and enable 'execute' for all.
[Thanks for submitting your game to the stream this weekend!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779942253?t=01h41m12s) :slight_smile:
We actually had a lot of fun with this one. The characters were super charming, and the premise was oddball and entertaining. :smile: Super nuts that you were able to do this whole thing by yourself, mad props to you!
Fun little game, accidentally completed it without really meaning to, was just trying to talk with everyone and discover everything
