LD25 — You are the Villain

Kim Jong-un's Glorious Missile to Liberate the Nations DX by dremelofdeath 2012-12-18T10:50:00

Really awesome execution of the theme.
- It's simple to play without needing to read any instructions.
- I really enjoyed the art style and fluid feel of the gameplay.

Once again, great job.

LD26 — Minimalism

Stargazers by Cake&Code 2013-04-30T00:22:00

This game really does look beautiful. The level of polish and finesse of the minimalistic gameplay mechanics and graphics really make this a worthy game.

Conversion by Spiridios 2013-05-02T07:45:00

It was quite a unique experience and haven't played any game quite like this one. Excellent consideration of the theme. It would be awesome to have an awe-inspiring quality of audio design if you choose to develop a post-compo version. Otherwise, very nice!

XYZ by ataxkt 2013-04-30T01:43:00

I came, I saw, I finished; and I loved it. Nice work man! This is was really fun to play.

CUBEBIA by Armix 2013-05-01T21:28:00

Thank you to all of you who have tried out my game and support the future development of Cubebia and its gameplay.
I am truly ecstatic to see such positivity from my very first Ludum Dare entry. :)

I shall get around to writing a Post Mortem very soon when my school work begins to ease up.
I'll will also seriously start extending Cubebia into a bigger and better Post Compo!

For those of you who are interested in the development of the game, feel free to follow me on Twitter: @StudioArmix.
And to those of you who have tried out the game, I would love to read your comments. :)

Regards,
~Bear.

for science! by xandy 2013-04-30T04:55:00

Well, I'm working on Mac with the latest version of LÓVE and all I saw was the ship placed upon a radar-like sprite and heaps of debug information on the sides of the output. Plus nothing responded and yeaaahh... Sorry about that, can't judge.

BlindSight by silentspartan72 2013-04-30T04:47:00

I played the game and really tried to compel myself to keep searching a seemingly hopelessly long and linear labyrinth, but I just didn't know if I would find anything, or figure out what I was doing there in the first place. It felt a little dull and aimless... If there is something in the darkness, perhaps make it "tease" the player, providing maybe a sense of horror "stingers", whilst also using it as a device to lead the player in what they think is "the right direction". But I have to say that I did like the foggy effect that is evident in the rays of the torchlight.

rainwalkers by nuprahtor 2013-05-03T15:13:00

I really enjoyed playing this. The mood was tremendously amazing. I just wish that I could have met a fellow Rainwalker...

Simplicity by fishbrain 2013-04-30T04:38:00

I liked how, through exploring such actions and reading such descriptions, that I actively inferred my own imagination as a driving force behing the game. It acts almost like an soothing stimulant. I somehow really like the raw simplicity of the game. It just seems calming.

Plus I should probably make mention of the polish you included, as your game featured an appropriately dreamy text fade transition between the different stages of the game.

And wow, the loading time was phenomenally quick! ;P

First, You Take A Potato by KevinZuhn 2013-05-03T22:55:00

The humor is this game is astoundingly brilliant. I love how people such as yourself still seriously considered the theme "Potato" when developing for "Minimalism". Awesome stuff; would be cool if you added some audio though, and perhaps made a Mac port, because I played through an emulator (I let nothing stop me from playing this game!)

LD27 — 10 Seconds

A Step by Hemuuuli 2013-08-26T10:48:00

The atmosphere was really... interesting. I might consider building upon such a concept. :) Keep it up.

SliP by Sakuyan 2013-08-26T03:11:00

This is a really nice entry, the game feels awesome to play and the graphics are really pretty. Plus the music is nice and the mechanic fits with the theme, so high scores from me. haha I found that "Pointless Achievement" to be rather funny, however I did somehow fall behind the destroyable block guarding the achievement token and got stuck, with no means of destroying the barrier. Other than that, awesome game. :)

10 seconds Escape by LemonTree 2013-08-26T02:28:00

A fairly simple game with a cheerful and casual approach, featuring sweet tunes. However I did encounter a game breaking bug upon dying in on level 4, in which the character could no longer move after the defeat screen was shown. Nonetheless, solid work for a HTML5 game in under 48 hours.

Anti - Explosive Babies by ToadieTechnika 2013-09-12T02:56:00

Really enjoyed playing through this one. Similar to Super Meat Boy, I was pleasantly frustrated. Nice game, thanks. :)

Firefly by kidder 2013-08-26T10:32:00

I liked the graphics and the concept; kinda cute. :)

Cyanocide by nicotuason 2013-08-26T11:07:00

Visually awesome and (personally) inspiring, however like many others here, I don't really see the theme in this, despite it looking and feeling hectic. :)

GIMP the Tapedeck-Operated Robot by Zuige 2013-08-26T11:01:00

A really good game, with (I'm guessing) intentionally awkward controls for the player. My brother and I laughed quite a bit over the difficulty, thanks. :) Keep it up, awesome stuff.

Don't let Them Hug you! by Jicken 2013-08-26T02:47:00

It's a silly concept but that's pretty cool. The aesthetic of the hugger models really sold the game, however I'm not really sure how you lose because my "Hug Count" continues to rise but my character feels no hinderance to anything. And yeah, perhaps instead of spawning too many "huggers" just make them run faster. My computer started lagging after a while. Overall, funny game, keep it up.

Five By Five by cy4n 2013-08-26T03:00:00

I liked the art style, even though its intention is to make it difficult to understand what is going on. Nice game nonetheless, felt kinda balanced.

Starship Physics by cwkx 2013-08-26T10:43:00

The art style and pretty everything in this game is hectic. Awesome job for something created in such a short amount of time. Nice work, please keep it up. :)

Notes on departure by kristoffer zetterberg 2013-08-26T11:17:00

I liked the smooth and clean way of telling a story. The premise of leaving something behind for (I take it as) love; like @sebastian said: powerful.

Proletarian Ninja X by deepnight 2013-09-16T13:34:00

Really polished game that simply looks and plays fantastically. :) Love it.

Grassroots Samba by atuun 2013-08-26T02:40:00

Grassroots is actually such a humorous and innovative idea. I love the fact that you force the player to think politically about what may or may not influence the people's decisions. The simplicity of the "Yes" or "No" mechanic was really nice and the artistic style really tops it off. :) Sweet game, nice work. Ps. The audio can get a little annoying (particularly when answering the questions.)
