This Game Will Self Destruct in 10 Seconds by ChronusZ 2013-08-27T19:20:00
The fact that the game "crashes" is a little frustrating, but it is an interesting idea.

The fact that the game "crashes" is a little frustrating, but it is an interesting idea.
Great sound effects and art.
The game wouldn't load past the title screen for me.
I didn't understand it at first, but it became very engaging once I did.
The art was good, but it wasn't fun. I'd love to see this as an actual game (possibly with a more upbeat tone), but it's not that great as is.
I love the art style. That made the overall game so much better.
The game is tough, but the method of executing commands is extremely unique. Nice thinking!
The premise is a little... disturbing. But the graphics are AMAZING and the execution is great (no pun intended). This is very polished for 48 hours.
I've been here before, but I had to come back and play again. Good luck on greenlight.
Fun, but it's frustrating to die by hitting a wall when there's another layer of ground below you.
The art style is great; I like the colors. The mechanic of speeding up the meter as you progressed gave the game an appropriate amount of difficulty.
Not bad. It would have been nice to have more levels and monsters, though.
It's okay, but too hard. It does give a real sense of accomplishment if you win, but mashing one button isn't that fun.
It was okay. The mechanics are interesting, but the balance feels off. It took forever to kill anything.
I couldn't figure out how to play, but thumbs up for graphics and music.
Not bad. The character switching mechanic is interesting.
I love the graphics, premise, and game as a whole. Nice pacing. And the pen is a reference to Apollo 11, right? I like it.
Not very innovative, but it's fun and it looks nice.
An average coin collecting game, but witty at some points.
No, why would it be a joke?
@Mekuri, you have to type "I'm in" for it to work, as the sort of standard Ludum Dare entry blog title.
Thanks to everybody who's played and commented so far!
Thanks again to the further commenters.
@doonay21 - Do you mean the title screens or the ones in the description above?
@ nintendoeats - So do I. I wanted to add sound, but just didn't have the time.
Thanks for the feedback; I appreciate it.
This had a good implementation of the theme and was fun to play, but the repetitive audio got annoying.
I am a little confused what to do. I like throwing things out the window though.
All around amazing!
The gameplay itself was hard and not very fun, but the sounds and creepy funhouse graphics style gave it a strong mood.
Did the title come from Back to the Future?
I'm having some trouble playing, but it looks nice and seems to have potential. A bit more instruction would be nice.
The mechanics are nice, and the music is great! I didn't try all the levels, but the first level was fun enough.
It reminds me of Quill 18's Paper Town. Kind of creepy.
Who knew a jumping totem pole could be such fun? Great little game!
Great art style! Very fun to play.
Great game! Fun to play, with really tough strategic decisions. Nice job.
This is a great game in mechanics, art, and sound. Even though the theme was minor, it strongly worked for what you made - it enhanced the levels in the way you used it.
5 stars!
This has a great style and is really fun to play. I made it to day 10 with a sword and shield. Really fun.
That was fun and challenging, especially the last level before the treasure.
I like the way it switches art styles, but still holds together.
Fun and well designed. Lots of polish for 48 hours.
Not very deep, but definitely addicting.
Not bad, but way too easy. I'm glad I didn't have to mash buttons, though. With another control scheme, this would be a lot of fun.
Nice, innovative design for a strategy game. I've never seen one quite like it.
Fun, but the text was hard to read. I got some wrong just because I didn't know what to type.
Great visuals, and I think the comics were actually a nice touch. I got the log safely inside next to the shelf, but I couldn't climb up to the matches.
Wow, that's awesome. I don't think I understand the targeting fully, but it's really fun.
Great platform game. More creative than I expected, and definitely one of the best tutorials I've seen on an LD game. Sadly, I'm not awesome enough or a god.
Nice and fun. It feels almost like programming tutorial games I've played before. The voice acting/narration was great, and I wouldn't change it, but I would like to be able to read the full text faster than the voice reads it. I got a little impatient to play the level.
Interesting idea for a mechanic. I'd like a way to skip levels I've beaten, or at least the intro. Fun to play, overall.
Ha. I voted for Joe the Plumber of the ReDublican party and apparently it worked pretty well. I love the name references and also how you kept it neutral (not explicitly relating to real referenced parties)
It was a little hard to tell how your choices would impact society, but it was fun nonetheless. I'd like to see an expanded version of the game. Also, the design was nice and made it feel like a ballot. Good job!
That's a fantastic puzzle mechanic. It took me a minute to figure out how the blocked paths are only blocked-one way (can go off but not on), but once I did, I realized how well-designed the game is. Great job! More levels would be awesome.
I think there is a glitch I must fix - the game doesn't appear to end properly. I think I can fix that, if the competition rules allow.
The aforementioned glitch should be fixed now.
JellyMan64, do you not like it just because it's GameMaker (you'd like the exact same game better in another code language) or is it that GameMaker caused poor quality that would be avoidable otherwise?
Wow! I wasn't sure what to expect just looking at it, but that was fun! The mechanic is great, one of the best implementations of the theme I've seen!
Seems like a typical space shooter, but well-executed. It feels balanced properly, but your desired additions would be great a could fit in nicely.
I liked the graphics, and it was an iterating concept with some funny lines. Not bad.
Very fun, balanced, and clever. It implements the theme very well.
Not bad, but very difficult. It was entertaining though, and frustratingly made want to keep going.
Fairly nice game; I give bonus points to anything outer-spacey. I didn't notice the gravity at first, but once I did, I realized how cool the rocket physics of the game truly were.
I wasn't sure exactly what to do, and the walking seemed very slow (not sure if that's the game or my computer). I liked the writing and graphics though, and the interface was nice for a point and click game like this. It was still fun to just look around.
It was compelling, but got very stale. Too much clicking and waiting.
I still don't know why, but that was very fun! I agree with others that some sound effect would be nice, but otherwise, good job! 72 was my high score.
The graphics in this are amazing! The game itself was kind of strange, but fun anyway.
I had trouble getting passed the enemies, and the pacing was a little slow, but it was interesting to play.
Oh, in addition to my other comment, I have to say it kind of reminded me of the Pikmin games, probably because of the art style.
This is a really unique take on the theme and a fun strategy/combat game. The art style is very well-executed and really fits with the space colonization feeling.
I sometimes encountered some major glitches where the satellite would either not respond to controls or would spin endlessly around the planet. I don't know if this is a code issue or just that it doesn't run well in my browser, but when the game ran well, it was a blast.
Extremely fun and a unique concept, although very hard to control.
I also encountered a glitch where, after a while, the angels with fertilizer would drop it while leaving the factory, so I couldn't get it.
With polished graphics and precise controls, this would be a fantastic games. As it is, I still couldn't stop playing.
The intro music was fantastic and set the mood, but the level music wasn't quite as good.
It was kind of fun to play, but thee bacon mechanic was hard to trigger. I'm not sure if I misunderstood how to use it, but I placed lots of bacon, and it only worked once.
Well, that was amusing enough. With some more content, this might be really entertaining.
I did manage to clip through the first few enemies, so that's a bit of a glitch. But for what little content there is, it's not bad.
I actually really liked the art style, even though it's just some roughly sketched outlines.
It's very fun, but I can't get more than a general idea of what's going on. I played a few times and came very close to winning, but I don't think there's enough to do late in the game for me to keep going.
I also don't really get how it fits the theme. But, the graphics and sound were nice.
That was strangely entertaining. I wish I could rate the music, because it was great - nice and relaxing.
I wasn't exactly clear on what the coins do, unless they were just a distraction against your focus. If that's the idea, then it makes sense.
Overall, it's very basic, but fun.
Very fun and hectic to play. It was a little hard to figure out if you were making progress, but once you figure it out, it's a great challenge to succeed.
It reminds me of Mastermind, but with a great twist.
It's a fun idea, and I like the management aspect of doing damage while keeping the people happy and minimizing resistance.
However, it was hard to tell what I was doing at any point. I think there were some graphical errors as well, and the game just didn't seem very polished.
I encountered lots of glitches where I would get stuck, lose myself off-screen, or move way to quickly (clipping through walls, not just running).
However, it was fun while it was working, the concept is interesting and the graphics are great.
