I LOVE the graphics <3 and the story is cute too!! Congratsss :D
First off, love the graphics- And also the fact that when you die, it's actually kinda cute. I managed to survive for 57 seconds, in my best attempt- Was that any good? :-) The map had me once, where I ended up stuck between a platform and a rock- At least that means that doggy won't go hungry.
Anyways, a fun take on an infinite runner, definitely something different, in a good way :-)
Thanks for sharing your game.
I love it
@benjamin-halko 58 seconds is nice :) @saraza23 thanks :) @mekuri 57 seconds is nice :) my record was about 90 seconds but tested this game nearly 100 times :dog: @maki-maki thanks :)
65 seconds! what a nice artworks and music, very adorable, i love it
@bohmann Thank you! Great try! You beat my highscore of 59 seconds, haha!
Wow, this is amazing! The graphics and animations are really well done and I like the parallax effect. The music and sound effects are great. Had lots of fun playing with the dog, he really has a personality.
Here's my highscore:

your pixel art style reminds me of Curse of Monkey Island era computer games, when they were pixel-y, but really trying to look painterly, this lovely in-between time before games became HD, but after they left the confines of 8 bit.
it was a cute and mildly disturbing experience to be a sentient meatball being chased by the dog. i made it 45 seconds.
i'm guessing the doggy fun meter is intended to inevitably run out, no matter what? and if you slow down, it just drains it quicker? as i played, i found myself experimenting, trying to see if there was anything i could do to get the meter to go back up, and wondering if there was any benefit to going forward and backwards, instead of only forwards (especially since the controls menu states that going backwards is an option), but it seemed like the answer was no to both, you really only want to go forwards, and have the meter drain as slowly as possible.
I love the graphics
Very cute game with lots of highscore chasing potential =D
What a great fit for the theme, really fun game! 58s highscore btw. ^^
Cute game. Especially liked the art for it. Well done.
Loved the graphics. The fact that the rolling nugget gets dirty as it rolls is just
I had fun and made it 68 seconds! The dog was cute, and I liked the playful mood. I found myself wishing that I could jump faster - the floaty jumping made it hard to make use of the platforms - but overall it was a memorable and fun experience; great job!
Really awesome graphics and the game was fun to play. Great job. Love the tongue roll when I get doomed each time
Adorable game, great take on the theme! Good visuals as well, and the character controller was great. My one complaint is that the flowers felt impossible to get past without dying, but maybe I'm just not skilled enough :)
Great entry

Thank you very much for your comments and feedback!
@tankou That was funny. Game is pretty good too. Took a little bit to figure out the balance of the jump. Very good.
I really like this art, so cute dog, good job =)
So cute :dog:
Very fun and challenging to play, delay mechanics are clever. And I thought treat is a popo, because my dog eat her popos :poop: haha
So, here's my highgscore, I couldn't beat @zubspace :pouting_cat:

@MSD @benjamin-gare Thank you! We are glad to hear that!
@niklas-zhaga Hahaha! Thank you very much! Anyway you beat my highscore of 59 seconds. Still pretty good! :D
Super cute game! The art was just perfect and the gameplay was straightforward and the controls were enjoyable. Really great work!
Loved the dog sprite, fun and simple gameplay, overall a fun experience!
That was fun. The theming with the dog chasing a treat is a really nice and original idea. (Love the details of the dog saliva on the corner of his mouth)
I am not sure about the best strategy to get the best score though. It is not juste about avoid obstacles as well as possible right? You need to be as far as possible from the dog so that the meter doesn't go down? I found the system not so straightforward and it is a bit confusing to be eaten when you are really far (and the opposite too)
Overall it was a really fun game with really lovely graphics and music. Well done!
(got a pretty good score though...) Screenshot 2022-04-08 at 18.46.44.png
@landosystems @leyamez Thank you very much for your feedback!
@nicmagnier Thank you very much for your impressions and detailed feedback! The meter keeps going down constantly, because the dog loses fun when chasing the same treat by time. You can only slow the meter down with collecting the green stink balls. Avoiding the obstacles prevents you from coming too close to the dog, what would speed the meter up. Finally you cannot avoid to be eaten, but you can make the meter go medium or slow to raise escape time. :) Congratz to the nice score!
Wow.
What an extremely well designed game. I don't even know if it was intentional but everything works so extremely well together.
The further ahead you are, the more difficult it is to react to oncoming obstacles, which puts you further back. However, the further back you fall behind, the more space you have to react and get ahead again! Straight up GENIUS game design. Self-regulating difficulty that happens completely naturally.
If it really was intentional and you set out to create the game with that in mind, I applaud you  I have played games in a similar vein to this but they never felt that fair and often, once you are behind, you stay behind because that's just how it is. The fixed view of your game created the auto-balanced difficulty which I find to be super awesome.
Anyway, I'm gonna stop gushing about it. I just find it neat. It's rare that LD games get me so excited about design, because it tends to be the last thing people think about when trying to rush a game.
High marks all around!
A very cute entry! Graphics looked so good, doggo animation adoreable and that player character lol - I love it when ordinary objects get a cute makeover ^^
The concept was fun and the amount of actions and objects to interact was good and well balanced - not too much to remember but also not boring, stink bubble was fun lol - I really like that you don't get eaten right away, I can see that you put effort in balancing that!
- what I would improve on the gameplay is the following: The way the level is set up - how fast the doggo/game moves, the distance and frequency of obstacles etc. - makes this something where you have to react fast, especially because there's some sections where it's jump or die, but for this game the player jumps too long and slow to meet the level demand imo.
I think if his gravity was higher (he falls down faster) and if you could control the intensity of the jumps - for example press long: higher jump with longer "jumping arc", quick press and a fast jump or something like that (maybe even control the gravity when falling down somehow? So reward pro playing :)) - I think this would at least double the fun :)
Maybe something to consider for the post jam version :) This was in any case brilliant, you can be proud of what you accomplished in such a short amount of time! Good job, guys!
@langotriel Thank you so much for your detailed feedback! We were excited to read your impressions about the mechanics and are happy that the efford we put in, pays out! 😃
@angiemon Thank you very much for your feedback and suggestions for improvement. We will keep this in mind to learn and keep improving coming up games! 😊
Really fun game. Liked the art and the sound effects.
The game is fun! The graphic is cool and the puppy is very sweet!
That was quite fun. The only criticism I would have is that because of how close the dog is to you sometimes hitting obstacles slows both of you down, and it looses the immersion of a chase a bit, but it's nothing major. I really like the visuals, animations are really cure and well done on making different power-ups and obstacles. They felt generated, but I didn't feel like I saw any obvious repeating patterns. Well done!
@smdg @pev @dilem Thank you very much for your appreciation and feedback!
Cool little game ! I did survive 60secs so I beat one of the devs :p Anyway, very cool take on the theme, I love the creativity. Graphisms are cute and work very well, I didn't understand than the grass patches were jump pads at first but it's a detail.
@revetoon Thank you for your feedback! We will keep it in mind, to visualize interactive objects better in future. :)
I really like this! I love the cute graphics and seeing what the dog is thinking as it chases you. There's enough to keep it fun, it being randomised gives some nice replay value and the music has that classic comfy impending doom feeling (weird to describe!).
Controls felt great, intuitive and the obstacles really fit the theme. Feels polished and cosy. Really well done, I would like to see you do more on this!
Excellent innovative concept. Really like the artwork and sound. Great job.
This is a really cute concept and just great overall! I managed to survive for 72 secs!!
The art is fantastic and feels really well polished! I love the detail in the dog's eyes (the extra bit of reflection is super cute)! The worm popping out of the ground to give you the jump boost is also a really nice touch. The controls felt good, but I think it would have been nice to have a bit more control of your jump height, so you don't feel forced to move backwards towards the dog to compensate for a poorly timed jump. Either way, this was excellent! Great work guys!!
@sarah-alexa @a1stakesauce @sad-studios Thank you very much for your comments, feedback and appreciation. We will keep it in mind for later projects.
Supercute game! I really loved the graphics. The whole aura of cuteness made for an awesome experience. I can imagine this would be popular among younger kids (because fun music, cute artstyle, fun gameplay and also FARTS). I think you did really well.
If constructive criticism is of your taste I'd say I wish you could jump higher, or could be forced to jump higher. Maybe more platforms and needing more focus on the y-axis.
Also I loved the petting hand in the end. Super cute :)
@maxkyckling Thank you very much for your feedback! We will keep it in mind for other games we may create.
Unbearably adorable -- fantastic work on the aesthetics! The scale is perfect for a jam game and the theme is represented perfectly; the good boy MUST get the treat, after all. A very coherent whole that was a delight to play.
@cubanfrog Thank you so much for your appreciation!
