The Graphics and Lightning looking really awesome! The gameplay is easy to handle and also the physics are good. Good Work!
Great little game. I really dig the main mechanic of the game! Imo the amount of force added to the spaceship should be lowered a bit (i'm playing ona a keyboard, i guess it'd be easier with a controller)
Yeah I agree with the force, just a touch lower would be better. Thanks for the feedback!
Hmm sadly I could not control the ship properly via the keyboard (way too much sensitive) and the XBox controller was not working (except for the X button). Can't say much more than that (except that I really wanted to see more than the first few seconds)
First of, the graphics were really good. The controls were easy to understand, albeit a bit unforgiving, at least on keyboard. It was a bit frustrating when dying and starting over that you had to fly for quite a while before actually having to dodge anything, but that is maybe on the minor side. You managed to capture a good mood, and did some good work on lighting, but maybe a bit too dark, in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing your game.
@ByGGy I think there may be an issue there id like to debug. if you could check by USB connecting that would be great.
Great graphics and fun gameplay. Great job!
Fun game overall. It was hard to know which objects were in the foreground/background/on the layer that you would collide with. The music and SFX do a good job of adding to the atmosphere.
The idea for this game is simple and good. And both the music/sound effects/graphics is really good. The controls is okay, and they fits the game idea very well, but they also made game a bit difficult to play. Overall a very good LD game. Well done.
Graphism, sound, and light are really good, controils a bit hard to master but maybe it's a choice. The only really hard think to understood is where is my hitbox ^^
@arkass there is no hit box as such. Any protruding part of the ship will detect a collision watch out for those thrusters on the bottom as they get me every time!
Your game is as unforgiving as ours! Hopefully you take that as a compliment.
I appreciate how you took the time for sfx, and lighting fx in a game jam game, it added a nice touch.
Overall, nice simple concept and the difficult controls is something i can definitely appreciate.
Really nice graphics and audio! The control is a bit hard, I died multiple times.Or I'm just really bad at it lol.
The graphics were quite good. Did you make that zombie thing at the beginning? I thought I was going to run into it. At times it was hard to tell what was something I was going to crash into. Also on that, the game might be a little too unforgiving for as long as it takes to get into it. Instant death and restart for nicking a corner is just a bit much. I didn't feel like I got very far into the game before I couldn't take another restart. Outside of those issues, the game controls nicely and I like the idea. The music was a bit too in your face for me, it's good music, but it got a bit grating after a while.
What is this, flappy birds? :P The controls felt really nice. Graphics were pretty cool, too. I wish I could see more of the level at once - navigating was pretty hard. Nice work!
A little hard to tell if you were going to hit an object or not. Maybe add a little more difference between the two layers. I would've preferred a health bar rather than instant death. I really like the effects of the thrusters on the sides of the ship, they look very cool. It was quite hard to find how to get into the ship too, it took me quite a few tries as I though I was going to collide with the zombie dude thing at the beginning. Overall a good game. Well done!
@sadsmile We were going to incorporate a first person mode switch to make things a little easier but ran out of time if people would like to see that I could ass it as an after jam download.
The idea was to hide some objects in the 2d view that could only be seen in the fps view.
The vertical controls are way to sensitive. I try to go between 2 pillars and the ship accelerates so fast, I instantly hit the sieleing or the floor.
An interesting game with a kind of mechanics. I put a rating) Please rating and me, thanks in advance)
I mean graphic in this game is owesome. Though the game is not somewhat easy its quite challenging.
The link to the game is down. Error 404
@vlad-ilisan Thanks sorted that out now
Explosive! The sound caught me by surprise after my first collision and the eyes following you effect at the beginning gave it an interesting eerie feeling. :P
Great mood, simple to control. I like me a nice booster/gravity style game.
My biggest gripe is that it wasn't at all easy to make out which direction you could travel in, and experimenting usually ended up with crashing into a wall that wasn't obvious.
