Just a heads up: your itch.io link doesn't work

grifone 2018-12-04 18:39

Now it works!

I think sacrifice part of yourself should have influenced more gameplay but nice physics!

grifone 2018-12-05 14:50

Thanks,I know but i couldn't think what.

Like the simple Graphics and also the good gameplay! Good Work!

Initially, it felt like a nice idea, the whole sacrificing limbs part. I would've hoped that losing limbs would've had a bigger impact on the game though, rather than just being a part that satisfied the theme, only for the sake of the theme. I get that maybe time constraints might have gotten in the way for such a feature. I really liked the animation/physics movement of the character, while he still has limbs.

Thanks for sharing your game.

grifone 2018-12-05 17:41

Thanks, actually you slow with less limbs but I couldn't think anything else

sadsmile 2018-12-05 22:51

I tend to agree with @mekuri Maybe you could have make the character controll differently or so.

Game itself was okayish, I wish the platforming mechanics were a bit tighter and I got to a point where I couldn't progress further. The character was way too close to the left side of the camera which made it feel very claustrophobic. Overall I can see the time constraints being a problem for these kind of games, but I wished there was a bit more.

Basically you lose your limbs but how that affects the game? I didn't see any differenct apart from the collision shape in the last stage. BTW it's a good start, the character animation is strange but it's unique in its way! :) I think I got a bug: if you press rapidly too much time "w" ot "up arrow" when you are on the door you skip at later stage without playing it.

Congrats on submitting a game!

Got through 3 levels but I didn't find it very challenging. The physics were solid though!

Interesting , but here.... how to passed,I ' m try about 8 times that I can't jump to next floor... Is my method incorrect?\_(:3」∠)\_ 1.png

grifone 2018-12-08 14:29

I tried it and it is possible, so I don't know

taddl 2018-12-08 16:41

I like the base idea of loosing part of the player in a jump and run.

Though I would have liked it more if the player could somehow influence when they lose limbs and if the lost limbs would have more of an influence on how the game plays.

I like the animation. It was a bit hard to see the platforms ahead so I was guessing sometimes where the next platform was. I would move the camera out a bit. If you add a bit of sound and music to this it would have set the mood nicely. But decent submission!

muzigpuzig 2018-12-08 17:28

We had a pretty similar idea of sacrificing yourself. I think a bit of sounds or music would improve the joy while playing it, even though if its free-to-use sounds, that are widely used by others aswell. Excited to see your submission and improvements for the next ludum dare!

diego-burgos 2018-12-08 21:33

It's Ok, I guess. The idea of loosing libs when you reach a new level was a nice idea, but it didn't affects any mechanic so if you make that loosing (or adding) some limbs affects on something it could be a better game

marc-garcia-penche 2018-12-09 21:00

A bit simple but cool. The walk animation is a bit creepy

kaeveris 2018-12-10 20:18

Cool idea and use of the theme! Felt a bit weird with character being so close to the left side

cfdj43 2018-12-11 22:16

I think this games main problem is the blind jumps, like you can't see some of the platforms you're trying to land on. Other than that good art and theming
