A very nice idea, perfectly executed.
Make the physics a little bit more deterministic and you've got a great contraption game with an interesting twist.
Thanks for making this game, it's been really fun to play!
Now this is a really solid entry, great job on the game! It's fun and both the sound design and the art style are very fitting. My only gripe would be the weird resolution on the web version, but it's still very much playable. Hope you had fun making it ;-)
@rongo-matane Nevermind, it's a problem on my end. I have my Windows 10 scaled to 125% because at 100% scale everything is tiny and unreadable. My browser effectively gets a reduced resolution of 1536 x 864, which explains why your game doesn't quite fit.
Your pixel art looks promising but I noticed a lot of doubles. Following the tips in this video would greatly improve the look of your art :

Also, the blur effect doesn't work very well with pixel art, but that's just my opinion
Hard to understand and control at first, but an interesting idea nonetheless.
Promising game and art style but it lacks some more purpose to feel complete. Hope you had fun making it
Just a heads up to allow people to play your game more easily : for the web version, rather than providing a download link, please consider using a service like itch.io, which will host your web version for free and allow other people to play it directly in their browser.
Thanks for playing our game @applepicke @justicepro! The original idea was to 'sacrifice' balloons to progress, but I agree that it's not such a good fit for the theme. We had a blast making it though
Thanks for your feedback @kerdelos! I have the feeling you were on the right path to complete level 6... Maybe you need **more** balloons?
Just a heads up: your itch.io link doesn't work
The fact that building "defensive fires" cost some of the "tower fire" and will eventually disappear makes for an interesting twist on the traditional tower defense gameplay. As it is now, the game feels a bit simple, but I understand that it's very hard to balance everything, especially during a game jam. Hope you had fun !
The radar was a neat little idea, and it's even better with headphones. The art style is simple but coherent. Apart from the charging sound, which I found to be a little bit annoying, the sounds are pretty good
Couldn't get to the end because the game wouldn't let me progress to level 2 (even though I was holding the spark of mana). The wind spell is pretty fun to use, especially when you start to fly away. One little thing I found was missing is the ability to change spell by clicking on it rather than using the keyboard, it felt more natural to me
Good art style and music. The gameplay is interesting but movement feels a little bit slow. I really liked your monster-punching cacti :cactus:
Great entry, keep up the good work !
Love the concept, it works really well and the whole game feels very polished. Well done !
Found the concept to be quite original, however it's a bit difficult to place furniture where you want to. One time I lost the shadow of the furniture outside the room by moving it too far and with the camera perspective I had no idea how to make it back to the room. Maybe it would control better using the mouse to point where you want to drop furniture ?
Lovely mood, makes you want to go and live there once you have built your little village.
Great concept ! Sometimes the mouse click seem a bit unresponsive but other than that, very solid puzzle platformer. The mechanics works very well to create some great "aha" moments. Nice work !
Interesting concept but kind of confusing to play, the zoomed in camera makes it hard to see where you're going, and the rotation feels strange to me. I think after completing level 3 or so the game went back to the menu, so it feels like the tutorial part was 90% of my (short) playtime. Great music and mood though !
Nice puzzle game ! Simple concept but enough challenge to make you scratch your head sometimes, but not too much to make you quit before completing it.
