Overall good game! I thought that the furniture dropped too fast to get it in position in time a lot, and all the levels I played took many tries and memorizing what I was supposed to do. In other words, there was not enough time to react. Graphics were great, but there were some clipping issues with the camera; as the furniture was falling, it would sometimes partially clip out of view, making part of it green. I did have fun though, and made some aesthetically pleasing rooms!
I think it will be more convenient to play on the phone =) Not very convenient controls... The shadow doesn't always work, so it's hard to hit where you're aiming. I love the idea of room-tetris, I do feel we saw theme of the jam the same way.
Nice! While it took me a couple of tries to figure out feng shui, on second level it became pretty intuitive.
I found this game was artistically pleasing yet mechanically confusing. I really liked the art style of the game, however, there were a lot of issues with the gameplay itself. The first thing I noticed was the cropping of the screen, there were problems in the web browser and the downloadable game, but it wasn't game-breaking as all the rules were mentioned in the web browser. The second thing was the disorientation that I faced when playing. In my opinion, the camera rotates too fast and it messes up my coordination making me press s instead of d or something similar. Lastly, I had no idea what I was doing. I was practically guessing what I was going to do because I wasn't being told what I was doing right or wrong, this may be because I'm stupid (most likely cause) but I didn't understand what I was doing, and when I got the answers right, I didn't even have time to realise what I did because the items were moving so fast. I think that this could be a good game, but because of the flaws mentioned, it degrades its destiny. Nonetheless, creating a game is difficult, and I believe you could make this game great if you wanted. Thanks, and have a good day! :)
I had too much trouble trying to figure out what the algorithm wanted. I read the tutorial first but had to relaunch because I couldn't figure out how to leave that screen. The controls were too hard for me, often times I knew where I wanted everything to go and failed to execute that plan. I gave up when it kept telling me the nice layout I made was 1 point short of good.
@thefoppian @inkharker @killnaprimer @multitone @mortusnegati First of all, thank you very much for playing and taking your time to give such constructive feedback! I am going to add your games onto my list to play and give feedback.
Regarding the issues with the sometimes partially invisible furniture, I didn't find a solution in time without not having enough time to complete the game. I think it's root cause is the ortographic camera view. I played a little around with different settings, but it seems to be a more fundamental issue with the idea to use this view.
The reason for the idea to let the camera rotate, was to make the gameplay a bit more dynamic and let the player see the room from more angles in order to help decision making. I knew that the controls might get effected, too. But I didn't make it to that point of my todo list...
@inkharker yes! In the beginning, I adjusted the window size to let the player see the furniture coming from the top and on the room on the bottom. A 9:16 ratio is a good match for it which let it fit for mobile screens just fine.
The last times I did the jam, I took 1 or 2 more days to do bugfixes and polish the game a bit more. One of my take aways from your comments is, that the mechanics have potential, but the implementation need a lot more work to get the game to it's full potential - to actually make a lot of fun. Sometimes during coding this game I had some doubts, if the gamplay concept is flawed and destined to be doomed
Cheers!

Cool idea. I found that the furniture came down too quickly and I didn't have enough time to think which was frustrating when combined with the rotating diagonal room that made me confused which direction furniture would move in when I pressed WASD.

Such a cool new twist on Tetris! Although the blocks fell a bit too quickly and I can't move them quickly enough. It would be great if the animations could be sped up a little. 风水 and placement sensibility being factored into the score is an incredibly cool mechanic.
Nice game! I really liked the concept and the visuals. I think it deserves a little bit of tweeking (maybe the furniture should fall slower, and the score to unlock next level is a bit high), but overall it was a great entry.

The fall speed makes this pretty difficult, but the main issue I ran into is stuff got cut off on the screen - I can't see the restart button when the score is too low. Are the Stretch settings under Display > Window set accordingly?
Any improvements I could suggest have already been mentioned by others so I'll stick to the positives- the 3D models were good, and the concept and relation to the theme is pretty stellar in my opinion; nice job with ths one :)

Think this game is very innovative, would be a fun mechanics for a game like sims etc. I like the overall aesthetics too, they go well with the simple but funny gameplay. Too bad I wasn't that sure how to get points, I believe it has something to do how well I decide places for furniture but even the first level was hard for me to figure out. I had to give up in the second level

What I like:
- intersting idea and fit with the theme
What could be done better:
- the game is too fast (maybe two modes or key for speeding it up would be better) - the moving of the room is quite annoying for me - tutorial screen does not fit my screen and I can't exit it
But nice try for the solo artist!
Found the concept to be quite original, however it's a bit difficult to place furniture where you want to. One time I lost the shadow of the furniture outside the room by moving it too far and with the camera perspective I had no idea how to make it back to the room. Maybe it would control better using the mouse to point where you want to drop furniture ?
I like the idea a lot, and it can be a really fun way of learning about feng sui, if you enjoy those things, but it was SOOO DIFFICULT TO CONTROL! Isometric controls always confuse me (pressing up makes it go up-left or up-right?), it's just something in my brain. Plus, forniture falled too fast to try, and the rotating room didn't help at all.
Also, I didn't get how you score! I like my rooms, but I guess I'm not following feng sui laws : D
Would be nice playing a more polished version! Well done in any case!
Nice idea!

This isn't the first game I've seen about stacking furniture. But it's done great. the lowpoly style is perfect for this type of game.good job!
