I liked the graphical style. The controls seem a little tough as jumping feels like it doesn't quite go in the direction you want it to on slopes. Occasionally there is a throbbing sound that sounds like someone accidentally hit their microphone and it gets a little loud. Not having control of the camera kind of made judging jumps difficult.
I play this to the end (i guess?; Last citizen said "thank's for to telling us") Should i return to starting point, while the river collisions disappear by the river and game did not have a notable ending.
Overall game is interesting, while it is not hard or challenging to survive with the main character. It's always fun to play while it storms, so it works here as experimental way. Gliding was really fun, and now i think i know why flying games are so famous to someone to play. This was a relaxing experience, and i like how this had a basic story as being a grasshopper emissary and stay to see where the story goes. Most sounds fit here very well. "Piano-rolls" reminds me the old flying games "radio"-tracks. It was also clever to add some rest points where to try to land and fill the energy. This game mechanic got something really engaging and would like to see some more.
@hiisileiri Yeah, the ending screen fell off the back end of development. I only realized at the end that we failed to include the dialogue that alludes to the theme...
I really enjoyed that piano piece in this game. Very calm and unique experience. Thank you for making it.
It's quite repetitive and the story didn't quite hook me, but the visuals and the game feel sure did. It feels just great to jump and glide around, and that scenario and song are gorgeous and go really well together, i like it a lot, it's a great experience overall and even though i didn't care much for the story i just kept on playing and playing and that is really a testament to how well you did with this little game, congratulations, great entry!

Interesting game. Took me a little bit to get used to the controls but after a few tries the gliding was pretty smooth. The dialogue system was also nice. It would have been interesting if there had been some environment effects throughout the world/level that would change up the mechanics.
@leuthil Admittedly yeah, there were going to be obstacles/effects that would make things more difficult, but 72 hours and all that...

As a sucker for an interesting traversal mechanic, I had fun with this. The hopping audio was a really nice touch. I did have trouble at first working out which direction to go as the way the initial camera pointed me to go I just could not figure out a path, but once I looked around a bit I found a nice climbable spot. The visuals are really solid too, I liked the cutscene characters a lot. Thanks for the game!
The movement is great but I do wish there was no stamina bar I kinda just felt myself waiting around a bit, also it was a little challenging to figure out where to go. I really like the idea though and the movement feels satisfyingly especially with the sound effect.
I love this. With the unique movement style, I think you really managed to capture the feeling of grasshopper-ness if you know what I mean. The audio was really great too--loved the piano tracks and the rolling thunder and the different notes that play as you hop. The art was charming too--there's similar geology around where I live and that orange-and-blue palette from the red canyons is striking. Liked the little character portraits as well.
It took me a few minutes to figure out how to glide (that's what I get for not reading the instructions properly, I guess) but once I did it was a lot of fun hopping and flying around the canyon. Also enjoyed the little snippets of dialogue and story. Just a nice feel from the whole game. Good work!
Nice intro! I didn't get the mechanics and the camera goes right through the meshes. It sure is unstable!
Very cool aesthetics and I loved the audio design. Reminded me a bit of "From Dust" if you know that game. The movement is quite novel, but sadly the game outstays its welcome by quite a bit. If the game would be a bit tighter/story beats more closely together it would benefit. Also love the atmosphere it creates.

When I realized there was a glide button the WHOLE game changed haha. If you really want a challenge, I'd recommend no glide %! Pretty awesome game, I would say the stamina bar was unnecessary, but really enjoyed the ambience and controls!
Yeah, like a couple others, it is sad that there's no proper end to this, but it was a really cool experience. Never even considered that "Greek Grasshoppers in the Grand Canyon" would be a phrase I would ever say.
I liked the ant portraits :)
Loved the visuals and the mood

Loved visuals and chilly atmosphere
Sad that after last village there is not collisions on the terrain, but all before that was pretty entertaining. Would be grad to add some kind of game won screen, though. Other than this, pretty good concept
Amazing game. Great artstyle and the sounds and music fit perfectly. Once you learn the controls its really fun to play and fly around. The magic is in the movement polish with this one. I kept flying until the terrain colliders suddenly ended. Great game.

Nice entry! Liked the sounds for jumping. Piano was a bit loud, though. Movement mechanics seemed really solid and intuitive.
Amazing entry! Would love to see it expanded upon. Maybe with a navigation system in a post jam version. I just think it was fun to be the grasshopper tbh.
Nice jump sound effects. I like the storm/wind ambiance. Overall, a really fun game to play.

Yo the movement in this was SLICK. it took me a while (and a little bit of asking in stream) to realize there was a double jump and that you had to charge it, but it opens up a lot of possibilities. The characters art is charming; the greek style clothing of the bugs was an interesting choice, but adds so much to the atmosphere and style of the game.
A couple suggestions -I think there's a lot of opportunities to use the the flying mechanics like hoops or races to test your flying skills. (it wouldn't fit in its current narrative, but if there's plans to expand your game I think it would be really fun!) One of my favorite things was trying to fly through the bushes to recharge my stamina and double jump so I can keep flying -Make it so you recharge a lil faster when you are landed. The long recharge time doesn't add to challenge, just makes you wait longer. -Camera works really well for flying around, but could use some work when the camera is close to you from jumping around and turning
Interesting and beautiful game! Great movement and the jumping felt very satisfying, though I think the stamina should refill much faster, I just got bored sometimes waiting for it to restart. Really cool stuff though!
Very beautiful game, nice jump sound effects and overall mood. We made a similar stamina-based jump mechanic, I think yours is more elegant and simple, but could use more in the way of controlling the pacing of it, because jumping and choosing where to jump is the most satisfying part of the game. Overall, very solid game!

I really loved the art style and the concept. Its tough only having the weekend to do complex level design, but I think that the game would be even better with more varied levels and obstacles. Nice job!
