fun minigames, although it's not always clear what you need to do
So original to have mini games like that! Graphics are cute and detailed. I loved the first mini game
Nice mood! Good fit with the theme. Took me three tried to get through the potion room, it was hard!
im going to be fully blunt, I dont like having to do the text scroll every reset, and when lighting the candles you need to remove the forced ordering on lighting them, but what i do like is everything else, the art is well made, the minigames are fun, the sound is perfect, it feels like my fault when i fail a mini-game, overall good job.
Took me a while to pick the locks but I did it! I didn't get it right away how to light the matches and the candles, I kind pressed many buttons until I saw something happened. Maybe the inputs could be more clear. I loved the art and vignette style, and the mood is on point. Great work!
It's amazing how creepy two red pixels can be.
Simple yet clear and fun, the only problem I had was with the candles part. I've realised that I had to do them in order only when the room lit up, made me think it were some kind of bug at fisrt. Maybe a visual or sound clue would work? Like if you try to light the wrong one it says that it refuses to light or something like that. Good job, really cute play!
I really liked the minigames, however it took me awhile to understand the last two. The candles one makes sense in hindsight, but during it I couldn't understand why they weren't lighting up. I agree with other people who said there should be an indication for *why* they aren't lighting up. I also think the cauldron one was well done, but maybe the UI at the bottom of the cauldron could be a bit bigger. I didn't notice it until I had already clicked quite a few objects that were unnecessary. I love the pixel art and the spooky vibe!
I love how polished and cute it is! The lock picking game is really fun, I wish there was more that! Overall well done!
Amazing graphics! I really liked the mini-games and ended up wishing there were more :sob: The sound and music did a great job setting the atmosphere, too.
One small thing: I'm not sure if it was a bug, but in endless mode, soon after I started the second mini-game the match lit down and I couldn't find a way to light another one again. Perhaps I missed something? Anyway, great job! Hope you'll aim for a post-jam version
It took me a little, but I figured out what to do in the first two minigames. Did it on my phone as well. I like the art and sounds, just some things are unclear. When the text scrolled up at the start I panicked, thinking I had to read it before it left the screen- oops! The mood is definetly set~
It's an interesting set of mini games! I was pretty shocked when the match stick broke actually, and felt like that representation was really, really cool. It helped me get immersed in it. I loved the lock-picking mini game, that felt really good, but that potion mini-game was so hard! I would wait for things to pass by and miss it as well as drain my health there. Wish that there was a save point or something. The
Fun minigame, great art, good sound, just a bit too short, but considering the quality of the rest, great output!
The graphics are very refined, and the atmosphere is spot on. However, the difficulty of these mini-games is a bit too high. Just unlocking the lock took me many tries
Really cool little mini games, i wish there were more. Really liked the match lighting and the cauldron mini game. The presentation is really nice, all the graphics look really good. Wasn't feeling the theme super strong, i wish there was a mini game that had that as more of a focus (maybe like a whack a mole/creature?) Otherwise great job.
Nice idea with several minigames in succession - curious which other minigames you would have added if there was more time!
A bit light on content, but what you have is really well made. Lovely pixel art, and a good atmosphere help add to the experience. I like the mini-games that you made, it's a shame there aren't more, however I understand the limitations of only having a weekend to make a game. Congrats on making this, and I hope you continue to make more as there is clearly a lot of talent between you.
The atmosphere is very nice. The animation of being covered by the creepy spider thingies is great - it makes my skin crawl just thinking about it.
The collection of minigames is varied, you never know what awaits in the next room - which is nice and plays right into the atmosphere.
I think the game should forgo the intro screen when you click to try again - the player already read it and having to wait for it to slide in again discourages replaying. In a game jam environment, it would actually be cool if the game would save progress and when you retry, you are returned to the last room you were in.
I'll definitely never accept any suspect invitations to sleep in any mansion
One of my best test of this game jam, was fun and immersive and wanted to try again and again. Maybe the animation at the end is a little bit longer, if you want to retry a lot more. Congratulations!
Fun little game. The gameplay, graphics, and music are great! Feels like it's missing some of the story telling through the gameplay but overall it's amazing what you've done in only 3 days. Great Job!

unfortunatelly for my homework, this game is kinda fun-

Minigames are fun and cool, grapgics are awesome, but i feel like endless mode does not get harder that much soooo it is really endless, eh? (: Anyways, i liked it, fun entry!
Took me a couple tries for each activity mostly to figure out what to do - I think that's the point though. The cauldron part I accidentally figured out the order didn't matter when I misclicked - which made it much easier haha - really nice pixel art. Mood was right too!
Lovely graphics and mood.
The lightmatch minigame seems buggy. I broke my match, then nothing happened. I didn't get the next match, nor the "game over" screen. I had to refresh the page.
I really couldn't understand what makes a match break, and I wonder if it isn't another bug. Sometimes it seemed to break while I did nothing.
I retried on Chrome, I did every stupid things I could with the match (moving the mouse very fast, going out of the screen, hovering over lightened candles...) and couldn't manage to break it.
Despite these little confusions, the mini games are quite easy to understand and nice to play.
I would have loved a little more lore and consistency: who imprisoned the hero? Why? Does the hero escapes? What is the recipe for? etc.
It doesn't really fit to the theme, but who cares?
Overall, I liked this game and had a nice moment. Thank you !
Great job on the mini games! The art and atmosphere were spot on, and I loved the creepy vibe. The match lighting and cauldron sections were fun, though the match mechanic was a bit confusing at times. Gj!
I would love to play a version of this with more minigames or like a randomized set of the games because I had a lot of fun going through the endless mode. I struggled to figure out how the match minigame worked but I wound up getting it every time even though I had no idea what I was doing.
