I don't really understand the goal
I went so deep I felt xD Would have been cool to be able to carry multiple items at once. The freezer is beautiful, and the controls a bit hard to graps.
Hahahahaha omg - I don't even know what to say! At first, I hated the controls and then I started to get used to them and was like OK, now what to do I do?? And then I saw the freezer and was like ohhhh match the color of the ice cream to the people, got it. But man - the person drives like a tank LOL! Haha - that's part of the challenge of course, if the person was easy to move, the game would be a no-brainer, but it's actually a lot of fun once you figure it all out. Well done!
Nice game! I served about ten customers. The freezer particle systems looked really slick. I think it's actually kind of charming that everyone is stuck in the T-pose and you carry the drinks on your head :) Calling the freezer procedurally generated might be a liiiitle bit of a stretch :)
I think the most important thing for improving this entry would be to flesh out the core game loop. For example it's a bit hard to notice that customers leave because they're angry at how long it's taking, so some kind of timer would help communicate that, and your score could be tips, so you're incentivized to deliver the right drink quickly.
Unusual take on the theme, which is nice to see.
I have to echo others feedback on tank controls though XD
Ok, the description itself already made me laugh, "extra large PROCEDURALY GENERATED industrial deep freezer" is such a good sentence. Now I want to see a roguelike in a grocery store setting haha. Very interesting take on the theme for sure.
A clever take on the theme. Also really liked the graphics. I found the controls a bit hard to get in to. The tank control scheme can work for the type of character but I felt the turning speed was way too high. The order that I was supposed to satisfy orders also wasn't totally clear. The customer that took the order didn't seem to correspond to the list of the right.
A new take on the theme! Not a big fan of tank controls though. I also wish there was a run option when getting food from deeper in the back of the unusually deep walk-in fridge. It would be great to be able to drop the food if you pick up the wrong color.
Really like the fog effect and particles you used to make the freezer feel really cold. Nice work!
Haha. After a few customers (-everyone- wanted green stuff), I just kinda tried to see how 'deep' the freezer went. Ran into it for a good long while, and then it just stopped, and I ran over the edge and fell into eternity. An appropriate end, I think!
Really good work on the freezer feel, from particles to screen effects and so on. Very smooth. Clearly you ran out of time, but impressive nonetheless!
I have no clue what I just played but that was not unpleasant xD. The tank controls are really special, but it was original, and that should have been a HUGE work to do for a compo, so congrats with that !
Tips for other, on web verison, go in fullscreen, else you get the interface slightly cut. I took some time to get used to controls, but after some try it get easier. Making a 3D game in Compo is a big challenge, congratulations ! For the next time, maybe try to add a scoring system displayed on screen, it's not that complicated to implement but it can improve the user experience !
I liked the lack of walking animations and tank controls. It really setts the mood for the game in a good way :D
The freezer could regularly branch, that way the walking distance does not increase as much.
I like it, super charming and funny, very experimental
The idea is funny, but the controls are a bit confusing and without any sound I miss the motivation to throw myself into my waiter role. Give it some polishing and I will play again. :)
Работа в кафе как искусство. Посетители - как высшие существа, которым нужно принести подаяние в виде... букв M и P. Ох и хитрая игра!
I really like the simple art style and the particles in the freezer although after some time I just started going deep into the freezer and found the end :)
Great models given the time constraints. When I'm walking downwards, I have to stop and wait for the camera to catch up though.
Hilarious take on the theme! Controls are... awkward. I got kinda used to the movement after a bit, but it was still pretty rough. Cool concept though!
Had fun! It gets better the longer you play. Didn't like the controls at first but they added some difficulty. Shame there is no audio, it could make it even more hilarious paired with that T-pose:)
The controls were a bit rough. I understand that W just moves me in the direction the guy is facing, but standard WASD to move Up, Left, Down, and Right would've been preferred. It doesn't appear that the game has an end, or at least I didn't get that far. I did however notice that the freezer isn't infinite, and you can fall into the void.
Neat game. Would've been nice to have some music, but for a game made in 48 hours it's not bad.
Looks like I wasn't the only one who had trouble with the controls, but fun game, and cool graphics. The lack of animation for the main character actually went really well with the tanky controls and became kind of endearing, like he thought he was a plane.
