Hi Buddy!
It took me a while to get rules completely, but after that I actually got to play and proceed. I don't think that a theme is well used here, game would totally work without that going back mechanic. Btw, when you press R during that rewind animation game can go crazy. But the game is interesting and kept me busy for some time, also it was a good time.
Nice entry!
Seems like it could be a good game, there are a few bugs though especially if you try to restart.
The visual is nice. But I could not pass the second level, although I filled in both points. After several attempts, the enemy went into a corner and always ran away from me. gg.png
I like the aesthetic but the sound the player makes when moving was very annoying to me and I got stuck at the first level, not knowing how to get a second glowy orb :c
@risider the enemy moving away is a bug that happens I thought I fixed it, sorry about that. The points have to be glowing to work. if it still doesn't work then... yikes.
@lenophie sorry about the sounds I almost didn't do any sounds except for music but I felt it needed something. I also now know that I did't explain my rules well enough. You have to have the enemy shoot the empty orb and then grab the other one from the enemy.
k I made a vid so you can watch how it's played. it's on the itch page
Dang! This thing was tense. Cool Puzzles enjoyed the fast paced trial and error of it. Didn't finish but I enjoyed what I did play of it. Overall solid game.
Sweet game man! The mechanics feel unique. Diggin' the clean look of the graphics. Love the music, the rewind effect, and the zoom-in transition. I did have some troubles at first, but got a hang of things after a few min. bumped into a glitch on the second level that gave me a blue screen, but other than that - awesome job! Do you plan to take this project further?
Cool concept, not easy! I like the super simple yet beautiful graphics.
Good concept but sometimes a bit buggy
I didn't even manage to pass the second level. The robot (or what is that?) just stopped firing at me because the projectile just got stuck in its body. Also, periodically, after pressing R, the game sent me to a blue room in which there is nothing. Overall, the idea is cool.
oh man, so hard! i got up to level 3!
Super challenging, it took looking at your video (very helpful) to figure I could just take the gems from the enemies. Overall nicely put together! Great job!
It was hard to understand what am I supposed to do at first, but after figuring out the goal of the game it was quite fun to play! I only wish the character movement was more fluid. Also, it would have been better if enemies gave you some sort of visual or audio warning before shooting (not at the very moment when they shoot) because otherwise, it's extremely hard to dodge bullets in such small rooms.
Thanks to everyone that has played my game so far, it means a lot :)
@ninjacatz @monninen yeah, that gem getting stuck bug I tried fixing it for 4 hours before I submitted the game. I thought I did but guess not. The pressing r thing while resetting is an oversight I didn't expect to happed at all. I should have put a cool down on the reset to make sure that bug didn't happen. hindsight is 2020 lol.
@annie-owl @johnnyv @wetburritosupreme my biggest regret with this game is that I didn't explain the game well enough in the game. I glad people made it past the first level at this point
@halfboltgames I think it would be cool to expand the movement and fighting a little more because I think that it's the most interesting part about it, so if I do decide to go further the grabbing and gunning would be the only thing to stay
thanks again
Nice Visuals man......Everything was perfect....Took some time to figure out the controls but...Those visual....Stopped me here......
Visuals are super cool, but was hard to understand what to do, visual style was super simple but I think it worked really well for the style you were going for
The game is extremely challenging and it would be impossible to understand what to do without the video. But overall I had fun. Graphics and audio were good. Great game! P.S. I really liked the rewind feature
I actually did not notice there was a video until now and managed to figure out the rules of the second level without it but it took me a ridiculously large amount of tries. Even once I knew what I was supposed to do, I found it super challenging! But it did feel "fair" in that when I was failing it was my fault, so when I finally got it that was very rewarding! :) It felt like an intense challenge level that I was being plunged into, but that ended up being fun for me. Glad I kept going until I got to beat it and make it to the rest of the game.
Adding some controls other than WASD (arrow keys maybe) could help me beat the game, not everyone has a qwerty keyboard ;) The puzzle game is great in itself and the "0 death" joke gets across. The main thing with me is the "move/walk" sound, very agressive and loud, gets old really quick.
