That was fun! Has a nice balance of ammo vs Zombies to keep things interesting. The fact that I can only see where my light is shining makes it way more exciting.
Nice game, I think the concept is cool, getting to destinations to do something all while fighting off enemies with limited ammo. Cool idea for a horror game. Art style was basic low-poly, nothing bad about it but it was pretty simple. I liked the voices for the ghouls, that got me a little tense as I was rushing to find ammo. I like that I couldn't find any health pickups, I think it adds to the horror feeling of the game. Speaking of, it had a nice horror feeling to it, not being able to mow down lots of enemies with lots of ammo was big. A big part of survival horror is making the player feel weak and I did not feel like I could take on all the ghouls. I wish there was more you could do to fight them, like maybe locking them in certain places, I was on the roof of the house and I thought it would've been cool if you could run back down the plank and shoot it down so the ghouls would die when they try to follow you. My main criticism is the theme, it was really only there in name and looks. You weren't delivering to anybody, like the house was there but it felt like you were turning on generators instead of giving people packages. I think the game would've been really cool if you were like a courier to people who are still alive and hiding from the ghouls, that would've fit the theme better and have been cooler.
Overall, lot of potential, good game right now, I had fun playing but I think it could've fit the theme of the jam better, not that it has to, but it was the main thing I noticed aside from the actual game.
@stellarr2 In Finland Posti delivers packages to a locked box close to you where you pick it up with a code you receive with SMS message. :)
Good stuff, the fact that bullets are pretty hard to come across made it feel pretty intense! I like that there's some verticality also despite being top-down
I reallly like this. Most engaging for me so far. The music is so good, very intense. The movement and shooting is perfect. The graphics are decent, Robloxy. :D Good job, seriously! Great submission.
Really nice piece! The controls and camera felt good to use and the experience as a whole was very well put-together. If I had issues they would be the lack of feedback during weapon cooldown, and perhaps the ammo being too sparse relative to enemy spawns. Great work!
I had to get the high score... xD 2303 I think it is unplayable afterward, there were so many zombies I had to jump only on fences and stuff, but it was lagging so hard. I had under 10 fps. xD My fav game so far!
@remus Wow that is actually really high score! The web build has terrible performance and it took great effort to make it to run even that well. The Windows build has greatly improved FPS. The game was made with Godot 4.0 which has very buggy web builds still.
@martta Yeah I know the feel, I also made my game in Godot 4.0 xD
This was such a cool entry - I really liked the interplay between the limited ammo, and using the melee to give myself space. A stunning amount of mechanics for a jam game - between the defensive rolls, the upgrade system, and the 'capture point' deliveries - they all blend together to make a great experience!
Love the vibes - that creepy ps1 style mixed worked so well with the stretched faces, a very cool effect. It was very enjoyable just dashing about that map, getting to explore the little areas. There were some cool encounters at the choke points, or when you could roll into a ditch, then had to navigate your way back out.
And that stereo audio slaps! That kick drum has some real punch, love it!
Excellent job with this!
Godot represent! (I didn't have the courage to try using 4 so mine is made with 3.5)
Nice mood and intensity :)
the pro gamers know - you go to the roof and hold alt to win the game
no need to thank me
This was really solid and I had a lot of fun. I think my first run spawned the delivery point somewhere inaccessible, but after that I had no issues, and a nice tense time. I like that ammo management was genuinely tough. GG
Well that was interesting, I think the pieces all work pretty well together. I do kind of want to criticize your use of movement speed to increase difficulty, never been a fan of mechanics that eventually force you to lose, but that might just be me.
Fun game. The sound of enermy is amusing. I suggest that maybe you could add a collider to prevent players from falling off the world. I have died from that several times. T_T
@Devil_ovo Do you mean you Dropped Dead XD
Hey, thanks for your comment. Our games are indeed very similar! I had a lot of fun playing yours. I loved the atmosphere and how you used the flashlight and the labyrinthic paths to convey this sense of urgency while wandering around. It took me a while to figure out and find the stairs, so I spent a lot of time running from enemies until I understood you could climb the buildings haha. My only complaint is that the enemy spawn rate was bit high, but I suppose that was planned to increase the difficulty over time. Really nice entry, I loved it! Kudos for the online score, it was a nice touch! (felt great to be in the third place ;D) chrome_LDkgxZgbYy.png

Interesting game with simple but addictive gameplay. The atmosphere of the zombie apocalypse is conveyed very well. The soundtrack and graphics are very nice. It's fun enough to play.
It's a pity that zombies cannot be kicked off the roof, they hang in the air at the level of the roof and come towards you again. Also, the number of zombies is growing exponentially, which very quickly makes the game almost impossible. It is a pity that there are no first-aid kits.
@lexuor There are actually first-aid kits, they start spawning after you are below 50% health. You can also get fully healed and +10% max health when finishing delivery round. Yeah I am also sad that the zombies do not fall of the roof. I would have added as a post jam patch, but I dont know if that would have been counted as bug fix or a new feature, so I left it out.
@martta, So I just didn't notice the first aid kit)) Was the ability to fall off the edge of the map originally planned?
@lexuor Yes it was planned and we had a ticket for it on our backlog, but we ran out of time.
This was a really interesting and fun experience, well done everyone. I really liked the audio as I found it really drew me into the game, reminded me of old school resident evil.
Wow, that was intense! The tsombies sounded angry and were clearly after my paketti :D ...Awesome dark mood, I liked that the flashight rolled around with my character. Music was pressuring and the darkness and zombie hordes made a claustrophobic feeling. Good horror stuff!
Online highscores motivated me to play so long I'd make it to the top list, great addition bringing some interactivity between players!
