Fun little game. Totally like the idea of sucking in all the different objects and using them as projectiles. Very cool idea. :smiley:
probably one of my jam favorite games played so far. the fact that you could suck enemys up and shoot them back at em was so satisfying. nice job
Wow what a fun and well polished game! I love how you can suck in the enemies and shoot them aswell, all I wanted was for a big attack that could hit multiple enemies when I had them all stacked up. Thanks for the wonderful game!

Very fun and addictive game, really love the music, art and gameplay. Controls are very smoooth, UI is intuitive and there's definitely a feeling of strategy when it comes to whether or not to reserve storage space for power ups or just go ham shooting dog bowls at enemies or enemies at enemies. Fantastic work!

This game is incredibly enjoyable and addictive. I have a great time playing it because of the fantastic music, art, and gameplay. The controls are incredibly smooth, and the user interface is easy to understand. Amazing effort!
I did come across a bug that did not let me move the first time playing the game. dying and pressing retry fixed it. But after dying and resetting via the main menu did not :sweat_smile:

Great entry, love the aesthetics, clever use of the theme, music was entertaining too ^^ I felt that the meta was to hold down the right mouse button and continuously suck enemies and throw them back at the other hahahahah, that usually depleted my health so I'd have to go and replenish at the garden, but worked out well ^^
If Kirby had a gun... Very solid game. The graphics are clean and the subtle animations finish the job. Controls are nice too. The level of polish is high. I have nothing to complain. Great job.
Nice art style and music, but game loop is becoming boring after a while. I don't feel like there is a strategy you can develop and follow. Because of that for me game was about walking in circles, holding right and pressing left button occasionally
The fact you can suck your enemies is a nice touch. I feel like if game was a bit more hard and level wasn't just a box, it could be may be a bit more interesting, but overall it's a very nice and polished game :)
This is a pretty well-polished game! It's very fun and well made, I love the core concept of it (shoot stuff that you vacuum). We can tell it is made by a team 100% with such a pretty good entry, congratz guys!
Hey cool game! I got to around wave 12 and then died because I tried to use too many enemies as projectiles haha
Below is my take!
Pros: - ART. Wow is this art good. Very cohesive palette and a pleasure to look at. Must have been so much drawing last weekend... - Complexity. I know putting something like Vampire Survivors together in less than 72 hours is no easy feat, but you guys did a really impressive job there! - Inuitiveness. Even if there wasn't a tutorial screen, the game is very self-explanatory, so very easy to pick up and play for a while.
Room for improvement: - Progression. Feels like the game starts off exciting with all these items and enemies, and I love the fact that you can suck in enemies and use them as projectiles! However, this excitement can fade away as nothing new really gets introduced in the latter half of the 14 waves. - Variety. I know implementing a lot of different items/enemies is very challenging in a limited time frame, but something like an AOE damage item would have spiced things up a bit. Or really anything to stop enemies from piling up without a good way to clear them quickly - Limited space. I never really felt like the limited inventory space was too much of a constraint, if that was the goal. I think using the limited space inventory in a more creative way would have been cool to see. For example, what if your "clip" gets more powerful if it gets filled up perfectly each time?
EDIT: I somehow completely missed the whole powerups thing in my first playthrough. I think that negates my last point!

Such a cool idea! And the game plays really well! Though it feels like it goes on forever without real danger. I like how even empty handed and surrounded I can just suck a bad guy and dash away. Music, sfx, graphics and animations are a real treat! Great job!

Sick game! It's polished and fun, and I like that you can suck enemies too. I would suggest having a fast-moving enemy or having them spread more, since right now you can just walk away from enemies.

This was a really impressive game! I think it was a great take on the theme but most of all I really love how polished the game felt to play, the sound effect and popups, animations, and even the music going a lil silly mode when taking damage. Really nice work!!

An upgrade system of family members (or possibly some alien/hell creature allies?) and what they bring you, eventually giving you items that slice through stuff or is sticky and holds enemies in place would take this so far! the passive bonuses per item is cool but would feel better if the different ammo did different things beyond multiplying certain stats.
but for real this is really impressive and it looks and sounds AWESOME!

Loved playing this! The loop is fun, powerups are clever (and challenging), difficulty ramps well. The art style, sound and general aesthetic approach is super cohesive and enjoyable. Congrats on a great jam!

I really loved this game. The graphics are solid. The controls are very accessible even though they are also unique. The HUD also provides really good feedback. This gets high ratings across the board. This is how I want to do a game, heh. Good job!
This is such a fun and polished game! Nice job! Keeping the powerups inside the vacuum to get the benefits is such a good idea that ties so well with the theme.
One suggestion I would give is that you could have it so some objects have effects towards the enemies and/or the player. Like maybe the toaster/fire pit applies fire damage over time to enemies hit, but also starts to damage the player or starts burning objects inside the vacuum if it stays inside the vacuum for too long.
This is such a great game! Great work across every category, love the innovative central mechanic. The game doesn't overstay its welcome, but I definitely felt "done" by the time the waves ended. Great effects when you take damage, but I wasn't actually aware of how much health I had at any point. Would love to see these mechanics explored with specific challenges and level design. Love it!

I won! got about 26800 scores.
This is the smoothest 2D shooting game I've played in this jam. Graphics are also impressive, and really love the effects when hitting enemy.
There's just one small issue. After reaching the 10th wave, I'm facing a serious lack of damage. Although can absorb the enemies themselves to attack, they often occupy multiple cells without providing enough damage. This makes the late-battles a tough and drawn-out struggle. But of course, this isn't a major problem, as seeing such a complete work in the jam is already amazing.
Overall, you team area really great!
Wonderful work! The game is a pleasure to look at and feels great to play. The powerups taking up space in the gun is a great idea but I feel like it was hard to play around and so I just honestly ignored that part of the gameplay and beat it without storing any. Neat entry overall, a creative spin on vampire survivors!
a nice experience
I love this, the idea is simple but its done so well, the way you can grab everything as you run around but then realise that you have to try and keep hold of the upgrades so that you do more damage and move faster so then you spit everything out and try to gather everything back up in the right order so they stay at the bottom. Not to mention the cute art and audio, this is just all round great!
Heya! This was a really inventive little entry! There were tons of little creative touches that help expand the gameplay on its own terms, like the dash jettisoning ammo, and being able to suck up enemies at the cost of ammo slots. These go a long way in a jam entry, so I feel like you nailed it there.
I thought the graphics were lovely and the sound was excellent (the wobbly pitch shifting when taking damage was *chef's kiss*). On a gameplay design level, I thought the curve was a little slow at first and a little steep at the end, and slightly repetitive overall, but these are things that could be resolved quickly enough.
If I had to nitpick, I'd say the theme could have been integrated into the gameplay a little more tightly, though I can see there was thought there with the limited ammo space and the limited arena in a wave based shooter.

But seriously, everything feels so polished here; I'd say the only thing that took a bit of the fun was that the waves start dragging too long at some point (but maybe it was just me being bad at the game and missing all the power-ups 😅)
