Not my type of game, but gives a good vibe. The style fits the narrative. Nicely done!

I think you totally hit the vibes you were going for with this one, very reminiscent of some early flash games. The point-and-click puzzle was interesting enough and couple of mini-games were a good touch. I thought that there was an interesting philosophical part to the character that was supposed to seem self aware to the nine year old player actually apparently becoming aware that everything was shutting down around them. Overall pretty cool game, well done!

Oof. That's all.

Hey, great game! It's amazing to me that you've made it all by yourself! Here's a lil playthrough of mine that I recorded so you could see it with your own eyeballs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5UQcSzY0Gk (youtube.com/watch?v=L5UQcSzY0Gk in case the embed doesn't work) Sorry it's so long, hehe...

@shores Thank you so much for recording your playthrough! I'm really excited to watch through it all later.

I wanted to see your reaction to the end in particular, just wanted to confirm that Flurry getting cut off isn't a bug. The idea was that she was meant to get cut off in her final sentence of that section though, I think the text may have just scrolled too quickly.

Really excited to play your game, it looks awesome!

Love the animated flash game vibe, not sure what I did to get through the gate though. Games were a little simple but I guess you managed to not only make a game but a bunch of them.

What a lovely game! Gives me so much nostalgia!

I used to love playing NeoPets and Pet Society back in the day. This gives me so much nostalgia for the early 2000s. There's so many details and content it's seriously impressive to have built this in 3 days. The art is really cute too. Well done.

Ahhh, this was so cool to play! (and a bit sad too😓) You really nailed the flash style and vibes. Sooo cute!

I kind of skipped all those flash online games back in the day, so I guess I missed some nostalgia part of the game :) But regardless it was cute. Puzzles were a bit monotonous for their length to my liking, but maybe that just about how it was, I wouldn't know!

Still impressive amount of little details and work in this one! Thanks for sharing!

That ending – wow. Didn't expect a virtual pet sim to tug at my heartstrings like that 😳

Really enjoyed this experience! The recreation of the era felt very faithful (both in tone and aesthetics). The puzzles were great (especially the "login" one), but perhaps the minigames could have used a bit more polish and challenge.

Fun idea! Clear connection to the theme

Holy shit dude. The story of this game is extremely well put together, especially for a game jam. Gonna venture into spoiler territory here...

!> Personally I thought the story was very well told, and I wasn't confused at any point. The ending hit quite hard (and I understood it wasn't a bug). I think it's very impressive how much depth you were able to give Flurry and Melody in such a short game. It's tough to make a player feel bad for the loss of a character they haven't known for very long, but shit, you pulled it off twice.

!> I thought the puzzle with the login was very well done, and the puzzle with the art museum was also quite clever. It was sort of a facepalm moment (at myself) when I remembered that the necklace in the shop had shapes on it. It's tough to do deduction puzzles that feel rewarding while also not being overly challenging, but I think you hit the nail on the head with all of them.

!> The nostalgia was great. I was never huge into virtual pet games in particular, but the chat logs were still very reminiscent of internet conversations I had as a kid, and the art style reminds me of the Flash days.

Overall, spectacular entry. I was thoroughly engaged throughout, and honestly I want to play it again to try out doing certain things differently (what if I keep the star on Flurry? what if I solve some of the puzzles earlier than I should be able to? different dialogue options? etc) which is about as high of a compliment as one can give to a game :)

Aww, that was nice. For a solo entry, there was a lot of content, I'm really impressed!

I shudder to think of what my online chats looked like when I played Runescape or Neopets... the chats window brought a chill up my spine lol

ricardo-menin 2026-10-26 03:50 ♥ 1

Brought me back to the good old Neopets days!

This is such a cool game. I really miss the days when we used to have so much fun online and then go out for a walk.

Incredible experience, felt like staring into my own childhood soul especially with the old l33tsp34k chatlogs.

Very endearing and funny overall. Loved the puzzle for logging in as Molly, had a pang of guilt doing it!

Genuinely bittersweet ending, now I'm hoping for the reboot someday too.

Fantastic work on this.
