Such a novel idea and great execution! Beautiful artstyle and crisp design, both visually and gameplay-wise! GREAT JOB!!

Really neat translation of weaving into a game mechanic. Struggling a little bit to connect the theme with the game, but otherwise it's a great. Nice vibe, really relaxing and a sweet gameplay loop that feels like it could be polished up into a great supporting mechanic in a full scale game. Awesome job!

Wow! What an interesting approach. There are some genius ideas in here: * Offsetting the rows, as alternating patterns are common, and the buttons are closer together to press * The oh-so satisfying click with every row * the gentle, soaring audio

Love the generated backgrounds - fits the theme perfectly, very atmospheric, great choice.

I can't imagine how you coded the vertical strands - hats off to you, I know it had to be a mind-bender.

This game nestles into its niche so well, I could see it being an every-day relaxer for those who 'click' with it.

I couldn't believe you had made this so quickly - I looked it up to be certain! Highly impressive. Incredibly well though out, and beautifully excecated. You should be very proud!

klasw 2023-05-01 21:31

thank you for your kind words @ugly-robot ! The threads were indeed a mind bender to program, TubeGeometry in Three.js was a life saver :)

That was really a soothing experience. Once you understand how it works, that was really nice. Loved the music and the mood. Good job!

shiiro-10psi 2023-05-01 23:38

Super chill. Very relaxing. There's definitely a target audience for this.

jcmonkey 2023-05-02 01:48

oh wow this game is so interesting, though im so bad at the game. the atmosphere is fun and engaging. took me a minute to wrap my head around the circles. other then that this was a really fun idea and fun to play.

jimbly 2023-05-02 02:18

Neat and relaxing game! I really enjoyed seeing the results of my handiwork =). Pretty frustrating, and a bit stressful, when you mess up and have to go back to the pattern though, I maybe would have played through 1 or 2 more patterns if I hadn't failed on the last row of the pattern I was on (made it through a half dozen or so though ^_^).

Wow! In my 5 years of Ludum Dare I've actually never encountered a game like this. From the moment the game opened, you could definetely feel the calmness you were going for, and man I gotta appreciate an entry like this. :sunglasses:

Don't know how to really comment and critique the gameplay, it worked fine in my opinion. The colors and music really made this feel soothing and I can imagine some people could really like to play a game of this sort after a rough or busy day to just relax. So if that's what you guys were going for, then perfectly done! Very cool entry and congrats on making this! :star2:

The music, with the UI, with the visuals really creates a masterpiece of relaxation. I struggled with figuring out how to weave initially, but once I had figure that out, the gameplay felt natural, and relaxing! Am I a terrible person if towards the end I started to speedrun the weaving? 😂 Beautiful entry, I can see this becoming a fully released mobile app for sure.

A cool game but too away from delivery sorry.

@farfadet46 Gotcha. We interpreted "deliver" as "to deliver" - to perform something and wanted to do something where you don't have to - you can just enjoy playing. "You don’t have to deliver anything today. Lean in to an ancient art form that relaxes your mind and soothes your soul."

tetrergeru 2023-05-02 15:34

I was expecting the weaving game to be a little bit boring, but it turned out to be calming and nice!

The presentation of finished pattern in the end of the level feels really smooth and satisfying.

kinart 2023-05-02 17:27

I made sure to play on mobile for this. It fit my phone nicely and felt like a nice way to pass time. I do wish there were more pictures instead of patterns. If you only got to see one line at a time, it would be quite satisfying to see the end result. The weaving version of an adult coloring book.

sid37 2023-05-02 18:55

Cute and soothing, but at the same time very intense game, makes you think for a long time before each move

kongo 2023-05-02 19:38

Really relaxing gameplay. Fit mobile really well! 21st century knitting

agudar 2023-05-03 03:24

the sound effects and music are seriously relaxing, the visuals are sweet and harmonious

jminor 2023-05-03 06:04

Nice and relaxing. Nice use of tap & swipe gestures on mobile. Didn't see a connection to the theme (that's okay, its optional). Nice job!

Sanna making AR stuff in gravity sketch. Wasn’t submitted but looked really cool!

gn-fur 2023-05-04 02:01

eh I don't get it. Each step takes forever because you need to click, like, 5-7 buttons to advance. Looks too ugly for how pretentious it's trying to be - the threads look like plastic pipes. I can see it working for someone - assuming you make actually good visuals - but not for me and not in this state.

erilhir 2023-05-04 14:30

Personally I liked it a lot and I found it super chill and hypnotizing. In the improvements that there could be in post-jam: a button to reset all threads to 0, it would save a little time ^^ Otherwise, the rest worked very well for me!

i-iv-v-i 2023-05-04 14:52

Even though I am not typically into this kind of game, I really enjoyed the athmosphere the laid-back Synth-Piano Ttrack created. The lack of any text or descriptions after the menu screen really furthered this meditative feeling the game oozes. To be honest, I would have loved for every pattern to reveal some kind of image or or beautiful shape by finishing it but sadly this was only the case for some. Maybe in a future additin. All in all quite meditative. Well done!

welsharess 2023-05-04 17:59

The app looks incredibly awesome, but where exactly theme of ludum 53? Otherwise great job

citsua 2023-05-04 19:04

Lovely and relaxing game. I think it'd have benefitted a lot from a yarn-like shader/texture on the threads. Right now the process is relaxing and nice, but the end result of every pattern doesn't really look that good.

matthewdrake 2023-05-04 19:13

Super relaxing game, just what I needed after some of the more stressful and high-focus ones this jam. Great visuals and great sound too!

ardorugus 2023-05-05 18:39

Wish for more action (or rhythm) here, but the visuals and puzzles feel nice. Relaxing tunes!

asfdfdfd 2023-05-06 18:16

I am god damn kniting machine. Brbrbrbr

blackcat508 2023-05-07 20:22

good game! There seems to be some delay when I swipe the other string through, but maybe that's just me.

papaver 2023-05-09 14:37

Nice and calm game!

I like the overall mood/atmosphere, the graphics and the music. I first tried it on my laptop(with a trackpad), but I quickly switched to my phone.

I tried some of the patterns, but found it quite tedious. Then I tried the endless mode for a bit. When I returned to the home screen and came back to the game, I had to start from the first pattern again, which prompted me to stop playing. I think I would prefer real-life weaving more.
