Game is super un-optimized. Something around 10 FPS on my machine. Would really like to play it, but it is hard to do right now
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD55 → Plaguebringers

@promzona Uploaded a more optimized version. Probably won't hit 60 fps but try now! ^^
Your game is fantastic – the difficulty is spot-on and it all comes together so well. Looks like our team has loads to learn from you. Cheers to that, my friend.
Great concept! Loved the hordes of rats. A bit unoptimized but still a great job!
Classic unreal engine experience, < 10fps, real time lighting and bundle assets. The rats were an interesting idea, but most of the time was probably spent on programming which didn't really leave time for gameplay design and balancing.
Fulfills my fantasy of being the queen of rats, a great environmental design with fun level up system. It's more sandboxy than a strategic game, and even though it is fun to spawn rats everywhere it lacks a long-term gameplay. Also, I need even bigger rats! Give me the biggest rat you got and I'll be 100% satisfied
This was really fun!, at first i took 2 tried to understand that killing people is good (at first i thought i needed them to spread before dieing) but as soon as i figured out the game it got much easier!
@6knowledge Yeah we ran out of time for optimizations and better balancing. It happens! ^^
I really like the concept (it ran okay on my PC, but I'm running a Ryzen 9 w/64gb of ram + 2080ti), but the upgrades happen far too frequently and don't scale at all. I was hoping to watch my hordes of rats infect the hapless villagers, but I kept getting interrupted by upgrade popups
Still, you could iterate on this idea where you go from village to village, getting to larger and more complicated cities, and it becomes a bit of a puzzle game like in Lemmings, where you have to infect/attack weaker areas first and build up your summoning powers before trying to hit other areas that are better protected by the plague doctors.
Nice work, even if it's not potato friendly  - I had fun!
Good fantasy that kinda remind me with A Plague Tale. The rat pandemic starts small but then it become so chaotic that left no one to survive... It would be better if this game had a goal though (maybe to kill X people on town?). Anyways, good job! I have a lot of fun playing this!
Very nice concept, with room to expand on. It ran a bit slow at first, had to close up stuff to play it haha, but bearable. The atmosphere was really nice, though I do wish there was a bigger goal like previously mentioned, but splendid work nevertheless!
Very cool game really enjoyed it, increasing summoners and mana regen is OP
Nice game, awesome arts! I had no performance issues, if not slightly when I had hundreds of rats at the same time  I thought the objective was to defeat all the medics at once but I ended up running indefinitively, with over 6k infected and 200 days of plague
I've tried to open a Linix version and it looks like it is 1fps for me...
Camera flies away sometime
Very fun concpet! would love to see it expanded
@roman-dubrovin I am sorry you experienced that. I use Arch btw
Cool idea, simple way to play, efficient. Lighting a bit too much, oversaturated at certain places. Bit disappointed, because no difference between the big and small rats and lags but cool idea of game :)
Nice idea, lacks a death condition and obviously due to the amount of rats, the fps drop fast.
With little improvement the game could really be cool :D
@yoyoj Thanks for the feedback. The fat rat lives 3 seconds longer (just like irl) xD
@sstyles93 Thanks for the criticism. The death condition is if you don't have enough mana to summons rats and there are no more rats left.
Maybe you need to balance a bit the game, but I've enjoyed it. I haven't got any problems with my PC, but I have a really nice one. Anyway, gj!
Really silly concept, like goat simulator lol. needs a bit more work and polish, but no reason this cant be as successful ;)
Really fun game! I really liked the upgrades, they reminded me of Vampire Survivors. In the end, it was fun to watch my rats go out and infect people. I think this game really has a lot of potential and I wouldn't mind seeing an expanded edition sometime in the future. I noticed that the same upgrade could spawn multiple times in the same "Choose an upgrade," menu, so that was the other bug I encountered. I also found the font a little hard to read against the background. Also, randomly, a big rat model would pop in and out. I got to day three with plague level 44.
I really liked the idea, and it was fun to play! The one issue I had is that once you get to the point that you can spawn hundreds of rats in 2-3 seconds, spawning a lot of them really takes a toll on the game's FPS. Nonetheless, it was a fun game to play and I had a great time!
Great strategy! And the unexpected appearance of a huge rat!)
Feels like more of an interactive demo. Unfortunately I'm not seeing what the fail state/win condition is.
Nice rats! A little confusing but very pretty game europe is evil for sure)
it's very beautiful and unusual, I liked it
Rats, rats, we're the rats We prey at night, we stalk at night, we're the rats
interesting game
At level 50 I had about 1 fps, but I had fun anyway. :)
Awfully satisfying! Well done. Yeah performance is going down pretty quickly if you spam summoning, but it was fun none the less!
Love the idea !! It's so fun but unfortunately my fps dropped to 3 when i got to around 3000 infected so i had to quit.
Nice art direction. The sound of the mouses are a bit unpleasant after a while when you summon them. Graphics look mice ! Maybe the city could get more gray and sad along the Plague disease expansion ;)
I really liked the fact that the plague it's kind of hard to spray at start ! But then it goes just as easy as the real one did !
Escape from Europe indeed XD

rats. 10/10
Very interesting concept. As others said, I also had some performance issues, especially after having a significant amount of mice on the screen hahaha.
The graphics of your game are good, as is the gameplay. It's fun to summon the rats and get upgrades.
Good job!
Great concept! Very innovative and fun to play with the rats
Its pretty.
Had a great time with it, lost the first time because I didn't really understand how to get mana back but once I understood the game loop I was hooked. I'm not sure if there's an "end state", since I got to Day 3 and was easily able to kill villagers moments after they spawned. It could have used a win or lose screen, though I must admit I'm not sure how you'd do either. In any case, had a lot of fun with it, well done!
The idea of the game is great, and it plays quite good. If only was the theme It Spreads, but it's not.
Great little experience. Nice cross between Plague Inc. and an RTS. Not much of a challenge posed, but who needs challenge when you have Big Rat. Look forward to commanding my army of rats to greater glory!
Interesting game. Love the historical setting! Very slick. Only thing was the constant popups offering upgrades, especially in the later stages.
Great work!
This was a fun idea! It had really satisfying gameplay. It took me a couple tries to get going, but I quickly had a broken run and got to a point where I could just spam rats constantly seemingly without consequence. I don't know if that was intended, but the difficulty started pretty difficult at first and then exploded into mass destruction. Because I was just spamming, I would often click on upgrades as they popped up without having a chance to read them. Overall, I had a lot of fun playing it. Nice job!
It's oddly satisfying to infest a poor medieval village with hundreds and hundreds of rats and vermin! 1GB download was hefty, but it was worth it in my opinion. Besides some technical hiccups, my only gripe with the game is that the upgrades appear way too often, every two or three seconds. I wish they were less frequent so I could enjoy reining terror upon the village. It was still fun so well done!
Cool game and cool idea! Everything is easy and understandable at once! Good job!
Wow that's a lot of bloom. I'm generally not a fan of it and the lighting seemed over done if that makes sense?
At one point the rats bowled over the medic (I was maybe a little over-zealous in eradicating them) which caused them to ragdoll. Very funny!
Not a fan of the font. Hard to read numbers and percent signs ("%" looks like "70")
Really cool game.
It is so cool! I've spent a lot of time on your game! I wish there would be end, for example, rats could destroy buildings) Good luck!
Unreal Engine games are truly something else, my laptop nearly blew up. I managed to get to plague level 100 and 10000 infected. At some point the rats couldn't infect because there were so many concentrated on a single villager and couldn't go through each other, thus effectively protecting the villagers more effectively than the plague doctors. It's a interesting spin on the summoning theme. Good job!
It's an interesting concept, I've had a good time playing it. Good job!
The art looks great but unfortunately I can't run it on macOS :/
Fun premise. It would lend itself well to a black comedy narrative (akin to Overlord) wherein you go around infecting villages for ridiculous reasons. The idea of having level up bonuses was interesting too, although I kind of started ignoring them after a while cause I just wanted to spam the mouse and flood the village with more rats.
The linux build seems broken. :( It loads a map, but the camera seems stuck in the ground and no inputs are accepted.
Quite fun, a bit hard to play after a while though as it get's so easy you can just spam rats and the level up box appears 2 seconds later. With a bit more balancing and changes to the gameplay as you get through the game, it could become a quite fun game though!
