I had a lot of fun with this one I am amazed that you did 20 levels. I think this would be a perfect mobile game.
So fun!! One of my faves so far. I got to about level 6 before dying. Cool strategic choices around angles and conservation of spikes
This is great! A really solid core mechanic that lends itself to a whole lot of different challenges. So many levels! A truly impressive amount of fun for such a short Jam
Wow I loved this game. I played for longer than I thought I would and even tried going back to 3 star some of the levels. Great idea and well executed!
I really like all the different takes on the single mechanic, really well thought out! Some of the levels felt a little more rng than strategy, but other than that it was a lot of fun!
Very funny!
@adam-gallina Glad you had fun! We agree that some of the levels that have more rng aren't as good as they could be. We started out using the rng in some of the early levels we developed and moved toward less rng and focusing on patterns/strategy that's repeatable on restart. We should have leaned into that style more from the beginning.
I liked it very much! At the beginning I thought that I would just put walls along the trajectory, but the levels suddenly began to surprise. Very fun game!
(Although at some levels I ran out of mana and had to wait until stone finally disappeared, but that's nothing)
I've never seen such a mechanic. it was interesting!
There is a secret to go further. you just need to draw along, not across
Good mechanic, well executed.
pretty cool game. Too many, too long and unnecessary walls were built this day.
Fun game! I feel like the levels could've used a bit more love, but overall the idea is good and the different elements in each level added a variety I wasn't expecting. I'd like to see you come up with more levels in the future!
Interesting game! I like it!
Would be very fun to play on mobile. Make sure to release there!
Ooh! Very nice concept and it's impressive you managed to make so many levels and different mechanics in so little time! Good job!
The innovative bouncing mechanic and strategic depth are pretty captivating, offering both challenge and enjoyment across an impressive number of levels.
I wasn't expecting there to be so many levels! Really cool idea that could definitely be expanded into a great mobile app game, if not keeping it as a web game. No notes from me, just saying well done on this.
I can see this being a pretty nice mobile game. good job.
I agree with the other comments saying it could be a mobile game, just something to play when bored. I found that most levels you could just spam super small walls to complete them
Really fun idea! It did seem like most levels did boil down to drawing a bunch of lines in front of the portal. Really impressive how many levels there were though, great entry!
Very fun to play. I loved trying to get the stars. I actually went back trying to collet more of them in levels I had already beaten. Though I wish the conditions for getting the ratings was a bit more transparent. Sometimes I beat a level several times and I thought I did better each time but still not star for me :(
Also I don't know if it was by design or not but I would have liked to have more information on how long an emitter would stay active. Maybe there was something I missed, but a visual cue when it was nearing its end would have been nice.
I had a lot of fun with this! I preferred the levels with less rng since they had a bit more strategy, but I like how having the boulders bounce off each other adds a bit of chaos to it all!
Nice game, interesting concept. Good thing you made so many levels. I was hooked enough to play to the end. The game is pretty easy, which is fine for an LD game. The last level was actually the most challenging. Did you consider more levels where you have to destroy houses?
@loveapplegames glad you liked it! We built it so we could've created a variety of different win/lose conditions easily and destroying houses was one of them, but we just focused on exploring saving the houses against different Boulder types mostly. I think if we were to expand on the game it would probably have an idea of "worlds" where the objective is different based on the world. Then we could introduce mechanics and ideas one at a time and eventually combine them all in later worlds
Gets boring very quickly, i dont feel like there is that much choice there is like 1-2 good way to place the walls and thats it. Every level is just the same after that.
Great game, it kind of threw me back to classic mobile gaming (in all the good ways). Good job introducing the mechanics slowly as well. What do you think about limiting where the player can draw walls? I started to just draw walls around the spawners and that got me pretty far. Good job folks!
I've played worse android games! Brilliant work for a weekend. Once the boulders started bouncing against each other i had to switch my play style, kept me on my toes for sure. Would like to have seen the thresholds for each star, and whilst i do like switching up the top star style, i honestly thought i was getting 2 start till i actually got two stars and could see the difference, the sound effect probably contributed the most as it has one of those retro wa wa wa descending feels to it.
Fun game! Thanks for making. The first five levels are very easy, after that it gets noticeably more fun. It might be good to make the game get difficult quicker.
Great idea for a short fun game. Would definitely play this if it's on mobile
