A Frog Can’t swim by Nicso 2025-04-09T02:04:04Z

Love the look of the game. The concept and music are also very good. The movement was a bit slow, especially when I was walking between switches. If there was a final switch to get to the big mushroom, I couldn't find it.

Depth Delver by superpokeunicorn 2025-04-12T06:11:42Z

Ran the game on Linux through WINE, worked like a charm. I did have some freezing when attacking the breakable blocks - not sure if that's hitstop, but it doesn't seem to pause the physics (the character would appear lower as if gravity wasn't paused). Besides that, this game was extremely well done. I loved the unique mechanics using the whip. Doing consecutive jumps on the hooks or consecutive walljumps was difficult, but very satisfying. I think these mechanics can definitely be combined and expanded on. The art was also extremely charming and expressive. I loved the little bat guy.

Really impressed that this is your own engine as well. Great work!

Depth of Field by Gao Ming 2025-04-09T03:28:51Z

Really charming game! A unique spin on the theme I haven't seen anywhere else.

Speed Dating by kalgynirae 2025-04-09T03:39:54Z

Really interesting mashup idea. The dialogue was quite charming. I'd be interested to see what other racing mechanics could be adapted into a VN style.

Pretty Fish by MestreRothLD 2025-04-09T01:45:58Z

Pretty fun game! Reminds me of some shark game I used to have on my phone. The day and night cycle was a good touch. It would be cool if some of the cosmetic upgrades were given a use, like a bigger lamp giving a larger light radius.

Hadal by ColeSlaughter 2025-04-09T04:30:41Z

Awesome game! I love the mechanic of being able to bounce off the wall for a little extra height. When you get a lot of momentum going, its very fun. Visually very impressive as well. Also love how the music gets more complex as you ascend.

Somnium by Roitchie 2025-04-09T01:13:13Z

Very nice atmosphere in this game. I did find the second puzzle (in the big room with the slide) to be confusing. It would be nice if you could slide down the slide.

Ib the First City by massivejack 2025-04-09T03:24:43Z

I love how the cards tell a story. The art style and theme are very cool. I like how the structure builds in the background over the course of the game.

Dwarven Depth Runner by Ausstein 2025-04-09T01:54:22Z

Funny parody of those mobile games you always see ads for. I especially love the little voice clips for the dwarves. The camera was a bit zoomed out to see the obstacles in the distance, even when fullscreened.

Nightmare Descent by DrSmey 2025-04-09T01:37:14Z

Amazing art. I love the designs for the different enemies. I was a dummy and forgot I could right click to view the details of the cards. An in-game popup could be good for that (unless I missed that too). At the end, the bad cards pushed my good cards off the edge of the screen, so I couldn't use them. Not sure if it was intentional, but it was cool.

D.E.E.P Impact by feor 2025-04-09T02:22:15Z

I like how there were different strategies with the weapons you can pick, and the upgrades that you choose. It was a little difficult to determine which weapon did what at first, and was hard to tell them apart. But once I got the hang of it it was quite fun. The music got across the frantic feel very well.

Frantic Focus by krummja 2025-04-09T03:46:21Z

I love how you used a double meaning on the jam theme. The unique mechanic of the game is pretty fun, and the sound effects are charming. I did keep falling off the edge when entering a new level - but a little more space could easily fix that.

Into The Deep by clymm 2025-04-10T23:24:26Z

This was a fun game! I like the idea of gathering resources to get supplies and upgrades, and being able to go a little deeper each time. I thought the enemy bullets were a bit hard to tell apart from the resources that you're collecting - maybe giving the bullets an outline could help with that. I did also find that only the health potions mattered when going into the deepest parts since your oxygen ran out so quickly. But I do like the idea of the deeper parts being a greater challenge. Overall this was really well done and has great potential for even more.

Rolling In The Deep by chybby 2025-04-09T04:05:16Z

I love the dialogue and overall feel of this game. Cool idea that there's one level which keeps changing. I did get lost a couple of times, but the hints got me going in the right direction. The music is also great - fits the goofy vibe of the game very well.

The Altermind Project by MatthewDrake 2025-04-10T03:07:48Z

I really like the mood that was built up over the course of the game. Definitely something different from a lot of other submissions. The writing was very good, with some vivid imagery and thought provoking questions. I thought the ending was a bit obvious in the way it was using your typed responses, but overall very cool concept for a game.

Rapid Eye Microgames by Tetracold 2025-04-11T01:06:20Z

Awesome game. The amount and variety of music and art is really impressive. The embed version kept sticking my mouse to the corner of the viewport, so I had to use the download version (could just be my browser though). I loved the idea of there being harder "nightmare" versions of the microgames. Not sure if they can only appear once per run, or if they are just really rare but I had a run of ~50 and only saw one during that time. Could be cool to make them appear more often as you get further to add some extra challenge.

Flatline by Empyreans 2025-04-09T00:49:25Z

Pretty fun and addicting game, feels satisfying once you piece together the puzzle and execute it all in one go. One thing I noticed is that you can bounce off the corner of blue blocks, usually leading to your death. The music did a good job of setting a zen, trance like feel. Overall very well done!

Mine Digger by KriSsS Gonko 2025-04-10T23:52:27Z

Very cool game. I love the idea of changing up minesweeper so that desirable objects are also given numbers- and when there are orange numbers you're not sure which are mines and which are ore. Although in practice I just stocked up on TNT and took a few steps back. This is a great concept for a game, I had a lot of fun with it. And the art was really cute too.

MindDive by Tikotey 2025-04-12T05:51:31Z

I love the concept, art and music for the game. The handgun felt pretty satisfying, but the other weapons didn't have as much feedback. As others have said, the sensitivity was way too high when I ran the game - making it difficult to play. Some feedback on getting hit would also go a long way.

Esca - Ludum Dare 57 by bakuzen 2025-04-10T03:18:33Z

Really nice art and music. I like the concept of moving the character around indirectly as well. To add some more variation / strategy to the gameplay, maybe the map could be expanded or different types of fish could spawn. Great work overall!

DATE IN THE DEPTHS by WHOLE GARBAGE SALE 2025-04-09T04:17:44Z

I love the sprites in this game. The animations are very well done as well. I like how different fish react to the light in different ways. I will say it is a bit difficult to see the urchins when your light is off, though.

Abimes by Kessel Nebula 2025-04-10T02:46:54Z

Amazing art style - although at some points I couldn't tell which parts of the map were passable. After a while, the framerates did drop although I'm not sure if that was my browser.

Deepdiving by Keeta 2025-04-09T19:39:37Z

@mathstr0fficial I loved watching your playthrough! Thanks so much, lots of great feedback. Apologies for the hand cramps!

Deepdiving by Keeta 2025-04-14T03:59:28Z

@mateusboga Thanks for the feedback! If you're holding space, it will put you into a glide automatically when you jump off a wall (by pressing the opposite direction). If you reach the bottom of the wall though, you'll just go into a normal fall regardless of what you're holding. I'm fixing that for the next version of the game. I think that is the case you're referring to at least.

Depths Diver by ordohydra 2025-04-09T03:12:30Z

This game is very charming. I love the hand-drawn art style. I was able to escape the map, but it was fun avoiding all the enemies!
