Decent difficulty curve. I liked how you could dodge the other fish. Bit awkward when the background image's edges end up showing.

Very fun and addictive game!

I liked this one, the fact that you could pick one of a few random options every level up made it fun to replay. I went for a speed build and got quite far but ended up dying after being attacked.

A really fun and well-made game. I also appreciate the discreet but effective interface elements.

Pretty fun game! Reminds me of some shark game I used to have on my phone. The day and night cycle was a good touch. It would be cool if some of the cosmetic upgrades were given a use, like a bigger lamp giving a larger light radius.

Pretty fun! The levelling up makes you want to keep playing (the level up jingle is really nice, btw). Only criticism is that you die kind of suddenly to the bigger fish just by touching them. I kept increasing my stats but I had no idea when it was safe to confront them, I kind of just touched them and died. A little bug is that if you go up a lot the background image of the ocean ends. Overall, it's a really cool idea well executed, with nice graphics. I think there's potential to polish it up more and make for a very addictive and fun game!

Super fun! kind of hard to aim when you get higher speed, maybe an upgrade to increase our area of damage would help

Ok, this was to most fun game of this jam! 10/10.

@eugenik You are too kind!

Not bad at all! Hope you get enough ratings.

:) Very fun game! I love your pixel art. Great fish variety. All the upgrades feel good, and decently balanced. BUT, I feel like I always die very suddenly at the end when I feel like I still have lots of health. But then other hits from the same kind of fish seem to do a lot less damage. But overall, very impressive systems you implemented!

Very cool game concept. I could see it being built out into a full blown game, maybe even for mobile.

Running into an enemy is kind of unforgiving. It could be cool if there was some minigame that you had to do to escape the enemy, or if it down-leveled you or something, instead of losing outright. Either that, or having some meta-progression/upgrades that you could get between each run.

Fantastic work overall. I like the fact that it gets lighter as you go closer to the surface, the artwork for having destroyed buildings underwater, the whole dna-strand as the UI for experience is super smart and clever. The UI/arrangement of the upgrade screen was also unique with great character to it. The game definitely had a distinct vibe. Great entry!

A fun game! Taking damage was not super obvious, but apparently you can even eat the bigger fish right from the start (It just takes more bites) as long as you stay behind them all the time?

The DNA experience bar was a nice touch, as were the cosmetics - who doesn't love seeing a big brain on their fish!

Was fun to play on stream. Thanks for hopping in and dropping your link!

Decently fun, felt pretty well polished and balanced overall.

Would have liked to see my fish get much larger so I would know whether or not I could eat some of the bigger fish as I started to progress.

Audio and mood were really nice, great job!
