Hi, could we have the MacOS version :D ?
The gameplay has a great vibe—it’s even pretty chill for the first two minutes—but after that, it’s quite an experience!))
Oh, and you’ve got to be absolutely jacked up on coffee the whole time. Cool game.
Cool game with vibe!
@entropea: I've now added a macOS build to the Itch page. Note that I haven't been able to test it since I don't own a Mac. If you try it out, please let me know if/how it works!
Managed 25 calls before bombing out. That was a lot of hectic fun. I like the gossip giving you a reason to take in the whole of someone's message and not just the name.
I would have liked for some mouse sensitivity controls, but other than that it was a smooth experience. Well done!
This was really fun! I did figure out that you can kinda cheese it by connecting to every single line lol. Feels like maybe the call should fail if you put it in the wrong one. Really liked the concept, great use of the theme!
This is a fun little game. Well done.
Amazing attention to atmosphere and detail! The game is well worth checking out and does a great job of capturing the theme of vintage technology.
Loved the atmosphere of the game and really on-theme. I was surprised how such as a simple concept (connecting calls) ended up being interesting to me.
Really cool idea for a game, the puzzles were well done and it kept me on my toes trying to manage everything. A really solid entry for the game jam.
My GOD this was anxiety inducing! Hella fun tho, managed 28 calls before getting fired.
I connected my first incorrect call at the very end, at like 23 calls, so I only learned at the very end that I could have been cheesing it the whole time. I liked how the gossip mechanic encouraged actually reading and parsing what people were saying. 26 total calls!
Really cool entry! The core loop is super fun and it’s a very clever take on the theme. Had a great time playing it! Left full ratings. Cheers from the Meow Bomb team, feel free to drop by our page if you're looking for more games to check out!
Really cool game! I love the idea of working as a telephone switchboard operator in the 1950s. It's such a fun and unusual way to approach the Old Tech theme! The whole retro office atmosphere is really nice, and I like how something as simple as connecting phone calls can turn into complete chaos when everyone starts calling at once.
The coffee mechanic is a funny little touch, and I love that you can also get distracted by office gossip instead of actually doing your job. It makes the whole experience feel more alive and entertaining.
The visuals fit the setting really well too. Honestly, I'm impressed by how much you managed to put together in just 72 hours, especially with all these little mechanics working together. Really nice concept and execution!
Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary haha.
As a fellow switchboard game creator on this jam, I love seeing how completely different our takes on the theme are! Yours is so chill (at the start) with the 1950s office gossip vibe, while mine is just pure stressful cable chaos in the 80s. Loved the atmosphere and the coffee mechanic here. Great work!
Funny!
Everything is really good here. I liked the song at the start in particular.
If was imagining "more" to this game I would imagine some type of conspiracy that unravels as you connect calls, maybe even requiring you to incorrectly connect calls in some ways.
Nice job!
Really charming! Made it to 25 calls processed before I was unable to keep up. Loved how you put a fun twist on the simple loop (using nicknames and the alliterative name ask were my favorites) to keep it engaging throughout! Also the opening theme song is fantastic! Well done! 🎵
