Really good mood on this game, like it. That's interesting to see game play evolved after a trip. Good job! :)

Really liked this one! I love the parallax background, and the music is really good! Plus, giving the player more mobility options as they progress is a really clever way to help the game from getting too stale!
Art style is great, music is a banger, only thing i didn't like was that you don't know the number you roll on the dice until you're like half way through moving, and the only other option that wasn't the same was the contract, knowing I could move 3 spaces instead of between 1 and 12(clock) (1 and 10 for pennies, and 2 - 12 for second dice) they all felt basically the same.
@soloadventurergames thank you!! and yeah I definitely could've done a better job at visually displaying the roll numbers, especially with the pennies (that one counts the number of "heads" you flip, so technically you can roll a zero). I also agree that most of the spinner options are basically the same; would've been cool to introduce heavier strategy elements. Appreciate the comments!
the presentation is phenomenal, and the "going up and down" inversion of the chutes and ladders mechanic was a pleasant surprise. well done!
Visuals were nice and interesting mood with an important topicld53-8.PNG
I liked the game visuals and soundtrack) however it was hard to understand what exactly I am controling as the player and what decisions I'm making. Maybe the game should reaveal itself a little bit faster to keep the player engaged)
I've never been so invested in chutes and ladders, really funny way of handling it. Also loved the introduce of different rolling mechanics as the game progressed. Great music and visuals too!
This is a nice middle finger to the evil that continues to loom over us called capitalism. The visuals are lovely and I love the message behind this game. I didn't get what the dice were for at first, but as soon as I fell into my first slide in the wrong direction I found them very clever. The game looks great and the music slaps. Loved this one!
Great game! I really liked the mood and visuals. Gameplay reminded me of a board game 'Snakes and ladders', and I really liked the way you redesign the concept. Solid entry, congrats :)
edit: just realized 'Snakes and ladders' is the same as 'Chutes and ladders' x)
I love the art, the creative use of "dice" and the overall feel of the game.
I loved the art style of this game! It looked really well polished for a game submitted into the compo! The music was also top notch in it! Good job all in all!
Very much following the trend here and complimenting the art. It's really cool.
I'm impressed at what art you were able to get out under your time constraints. Truly remarkable. I really liked the chutes and ladder concept. If I had a criticism, it would be and the RNG would often work out that I wasn't getting a lot of action with the chutes and ladders. All in all, a fantastic entry.
A very innovative game format. The art style is really, really, really cute, making it very soft and refreshing! I feel like this little bird is looking at me all the time!
Just thinking about doing all this alone makes me tired. Congratulations on the game and for the courage!
A lot of wonderful work from the art, music, and script! As a D&D enthusiast I love dice rolls so this fulfilled a good itch. Will you continue to make a post jam version with larger levels and more in depth mechanics?
Thanks everyone for the amazing comments and feedback.
and @la-bread, definitely! I had a lot of cool ideas I wasn't able to do in 48 hours, so I feel like there's way more I can do with DCtM. I typically put all my post-jam updates in a single collection called Afterthoughts (it's on my itch profile) after the rating period is over. Appreciate the interest!!
Visually, your interpretation of the board game is absolutely superb and I enjoyed the short story that delivers a message. The gameplay lacks some kind of spin; not a huge fan of dice rolling when it's basically the only mechanic. Great entry
