Awesome interpretation of the theme and amazing how you build all this in 48 hours.
Great job!
This is a funny interpretation on the theme. Lots of controversial topics going on! I wasn't able to get anybody to come and sit all the way in the front, in fact, I think I just lost people over time - it's not easy being a preacher!
Nice interpretation of the theme, I was hoping someone might try this. It ended up being a really interesting game, cool stuff! Might come back to this one again later.
This reminds of Democracy, if that's what you were going for. I wasn't totally sure what I was doing. A lot of people left, but maybe that was secretly my goal? :joy:
An interesting idea given the name of the jam theme and it is clear that a lot of work was done, also in 48 hours alone. Cool.
I wan't sure which way I was trying to move people. However i did seem to have a healthy congregation. My lack of morals and willingness to take any position on any topic seemed to help.
I have no idea what was going on. What a strange game.
Curious game and a unique take on the theme, took a bit to get used to but it's definitely got some legs for further expansion and exploration on the theme. I definitely feel there's a lot of potential here.
Maybe it's because I'm not American, but I've never heard most of these things mentioned in a sermon. I was expecting more theological topics, honestly. Clever interpretation of the theme, though.
Interface is counter-intuitive, double click is a no-no for such games.
Balance is broken, I get holy spirits by spam-clicking right most topic and thumbs up.
Idea is great though. Just not presented in a fancy way. Very similar to one of my games from LD-51, I made overcomplicated democracy election simulator with deep math but not so much gameplay.
Not really sure what I was doing. I found that if I just kept clicking "yes" to everything, I'd slowly get more people. After around 50 people in the congregation, the game started lagging, but I kept pushing forward! I finally reached 90 people, but the game immediately reset once I reached that. I didn't have time to screenshot my success. Very unique take on the idea though!
I like the social commentary. You win the game by saying whatever gets people most fired up! That said the gameplay is a little dull. If you let me forcibly eject the white supremacists I'd be much happier!
Very interesting experimental game. I definitely caught myself contradicting my earlier sermons.
Special take on the theme - very different. Wont rate Audio as I heard nothing on my end, but might just be my browser.
I decided to play twice. The first playthrough, I was completely pragmatic, just telling people what they wanted to hear. I praised gay people; I slandered gay people. I spoke positively about both globalism and nationalism, and somehow that caused people to trust me even more.
On the second playthrough, I gave sermons with priority and opinion based on my own beliefs. Apparently I wouldn't make for a very good priest since I was down to three people by sermon #4.
My favorite was when I was given the choice between talking about white people, black people, or mixed race people. Really putting me in a box here.
This is a really neat concept, but it has a lot of mechanics I didn't feel like dealing with. When I have 30 parishioners, I don't want to be clicking on every single person about their beliefs. In a full version, I think seeing the parishioners' faces would go a long way to feeling like you're building relationships with these people. Maybe hearing gossip or things people did as a result of your sermon. (Little Timmy started a lemonade stand because of your positive sermon on small businesses.)

Definitely would have faces for the parishioners in that situation and funny enough, I actually had an idea but didn't have time to implement where parishioners were going to do random things based on your sermons but didn't have time to implement. Definitely going to be a part of the larger game. I know I wanna make a game about this particular type of evangelism but I haven't narrowed down the door to door mechanic yet. I have an idea to test out a rock paper scissors mechanic that coudl be viable. Thanks for commenting.
This is a complicated yet very interesting game! Well done, thank you!
