Problems embedding godot, so itch.io instead. Couldn't figure out if it's possible to put an iframe in the post, but it doesn't look like it so -shrug-.

This game is fun, but you can't hit Ctrl-W without closing the tab. I'd recommend using Shift instead of Ctrl. Also, I might make the objective a bit clearer, and maybe make loading packages faster (just press a key next to the package to auto-load?) Other than that, this was really fun, and you did a great job!

I like the idea, but the character controller seems a little unintuitive. Sadly my game crashed/browser window closed mid game, but I cannot tell you why.

Sneaking in a last minute edit in submission hour to fix the ctrl-w bug. Thanks Jack!

Really cool! Pretty dizzying, in a good way

Fun game and I liked the idea of being able to rearrange the boxes. Only bug I found was that the colliders of the spacestation were partially missing and I was somehow unable to get into the van? Really liked the graphics as well. Cool idea and well done!

I didn't manage to deliver many packages, but it was pretty fun to play. Loved the graphics well!

I think you could make controlls a bit more intuitive, by having W nd S for going forward and backwards. You could use space and shift or Q and E for up and down.

Interesting take on the theme. The controls don't feel great. I'm not sure how the vehicle works but the camera seems to jump back to origin or something whenever you switch between the guy and the car and I think you need to hold E for a few seconds to stay in the vehicle. The art looks cool.

Fun little game. I did think it could do with some sounds, but then I realised sound doesn't travel in space, so it doesn't matter  Nice graphics. Controls were a little tricky, would've been easier if W and S had been reversed (or mouse for pitch/yaw and WASD for lateral and longitudinal movement).

Nice game though, well done!

Fun game. Camera was a little buggy, and some things didn't have collision so you went right into them. But besides that I thought the concept was solid. Congratulations on the game!

Man, I loved the idea of a space postman! The dynamics of managing the space inside the ship for deliveries really grabbed me. Sometimes I got a little confused with the controls, but with a little practice, I got the hang of it. The aesthetics and sounds are really cool. Congratulations on your creativity!

I struggled a bit with the controls. The graphics were good and I liked the concept.

joshedev 2023-10-05 01:45

I really like the visual style and concept here, it's charming flying around space making deliveries! The controls were a little tough to get used to, with the camera attatched to the player, but I did start getting the hang of it with time. Nice work!

We're largely getting comments that the controls are awful. Which, I agree, they are! So I'm giving a short breakdown on how that happened:

TL;DR Oort has an accelerator pedal

There was a previous walking iteration of the character controller with normal character controls, and a ship controller with accelerate/brake/pitch/yaw. Because Oort was able to get out of the van at odd altitudes and places, they needed to be able to fly. I made an attempt in the last day to rewrite Oort's controller, but the change between flying and walking was running into collision bugs elsewhere. Oort spent a good amount of time in development T-Posing through space and glitching through floors

So as one of the last major changes on the project, we ripped out everything in Oort's controller and just had it inherit from the ship controls

This was amazing, lot of feature were there and polish for a gam jam. Some weird camera transition but overall good job for the entry!

I really love the movement that simulates an outer space environment, and the cute art style is a bonus. I got so into loading packages onto the truck that I didn't notice the top bar had stopped changing, and the extra ones disappeared. It might be helpful to add a notice for players to let them know when the truck is full and overloading is happening. Overall, great job!

I really liked the art and general vibe of it. Spacepostman Pat. Great entry!

the-enigma 2023-10-10 21:36

Neat graphics and workable controls for a space game. There was a slight problem where if I left the spacecraft the camera would jump back to the origin. Good job overall!

cool game kind of relaxing :D

This game's controls really fit the idea of space! The art direction was cute and consistent, so I loved that. I found trouble delivering the package to one of the house, and wasn't sure exactly how to do it. I held on to the box wandering around the planet, but nothing seemed to trigger. Fleshed out, I can see this game being a fun casual game. Great job!
