LD57 — Depths

Cricetus Crevice by MagnesiumNinja 2025-04-08T02:12:47Z

Wow! This mechanic reminds me of Worms and their ropes – super cool! Thank you for your work and the soft, lovely graphics!

Depths Space 9 by Wisch 2025-04-14T03:14:53Z

Wow! When you start running away — it gets really tense... and that’s so cool! The fact that not everything is visible on the radar adds a special touch — and it’s awesome! Thank you for the game!

Archeologic by auxC 2025-04-10T02:27:23Z

Wow! It took me about half an hour, but I finally made it all the way to the bottom and got the ankh as a reward! It wasn’t easy, but I got lucky — from the middle onward, a bunch of little bombs helped me dig deeper into the mine :) You’ve made an excellent game — and a complete one at that, one that you actually want to keep playing! What’s more, while playing, you start thinking strategically — how to move the blocks, how to clear more... and that’s really awesome! You’re absolutely amazing, thank you so much!

The Misadventures of Sir Delaware Jones: In the Temple of the Wooden Skull by stmatn 2025-04-10T03:38:33Z

Yay, I managed to launch it! And I’ve got to say — it’s been a while since I’ve seen coding in Java, and that’s really cool! There’s something pleasantly familiar about it… yet at the same time, something new! To be honest, I didn’t fully understand the role of the tile in the top-right corner — I’ll probably read the description and player comments more carefully now. BUT! I really loved the puzzle aspect. It strongly reminded me of one of my favorite board games, Saboteur~ Thank you so much for such a great game! It’s so nice that it’s done in this classic maze-and-puzzle style. A deep bow and heartfelt thanks for the game!

Where's My Pants?! by gamesplusjames 2025-04-08T02:38:59Z

This is so... wild, it's actually wonderful :D And the description: the depths of emotional despair – pure gold :D Thank you for approaching this topic with humor!

@twest - Thank you so much for your interest and such a kind review :) We're really happy! As for the game – we're not sure the current build will impress you, but we'd be glad if even a small part of the beginning brings you some enjoyment :) Most importantly, please don't forget to rest after the jam :)

@maybeagoose You're amazing :) Considering that the game only has a couple of minutes of content... I think you chose the best possible format :) Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback – it means a lot to us!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-08T09:02:00Z

@katastudios Sorry, we didn’t manage to add voice acting and sounds to the jam version of the game... but we’ll definitely include them in the future! Thank you so much for playing our game – we truly, truly appreciate it!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-08T10:50:35Z

@hope42morrow - большое спасибо за ваш отзыв:) Искренне рады, что понравился визуал и идея, надеюсь, сможем продолжить и не разочаровать!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-08T11:52:56Z

@the-stewarts - Thank you so much for the feedback! At the moment, the music is only in the video, since for the game itself we’re planning to commission a composer – we’d prefer not to rely on AI or external solutions. But for the YouTube video, yes, we decided to add music that, we hope, helped create the right atmosphere :) We're truly happy and grateful that we made a good impression! We'll keep doing our best :)

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-08T11:53:35Z

@stmatn - Oh wow, it’s such a joy that you not only watched the video but also played the game >< We’re so happy (especially that you managed to escape the shark :)) The second station gives you extra oxygen! But yes, due to the lack of a tutorial, it’s not very obvious at the moment... please accept our apologies for that. And a huge, humble thank-you for your warm and kind words! We’d love to continue developing the game after the jam — who knows, maybe we’ll meet again on the staircase of letters. Either way, we’ll be very happy to see you again! Once more, thank you so much :) (dancing with ssomniss with a smile :))

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-08T12:02:22Z

@indiealesha - Oh, I’m that goof who still hasn’t received the graphics from the freelancers for the capybara game :) And now... a second jam has already flown by... sorry >< And yes, I’m too shy to send direct messages) But honestly? I’m happy that you’re also taking part in jams :) You’re doing great!!! Thank you for your humor and your smile :) And a special thanks for your kind words! Oh, and yes — there are some difficulties with scaling in HTML5 (I overcomplicated things in the code), but it will definitely be there!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-08T12:04:37Z

@dendi-life - спасибо большое за отзыв, рады, что идея показалась интересной! Про звуки, увы, в самой игре звуков нет - не успели..., они пока что только на видео... Но, обязательно добавим! Прошу прощения за неудобства и спасибо за игру:)

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-09T16:52:15Z

@stmatn – Thank you so much for your understanding! Yes, that's the beauty of game jams — you can try out so many things in a short time and actually see the results :) And when that result resonates through comments and words of support — it brings a special kind of gratitude and joy!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-09T16:52:43Z

@cameronpenner - Oh, we’re so happy that you managed to finish the game! Especially without any hints — you’re amazing! We removed the shark cutscene, and we’re really glad that the game still left a positive impression. And thank you so much for sharing that with us :) We’re truly, truly happy!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-09T16:53:11Z

@tomtomgome - Huge thanks for the constructive feedback! Yes, the game is definitely lacking a tutorial right now — that’s true… but we’ll definitely be adding one! We're glad the controls were mostly intuitive in the meantime. And yes, you did a great job! We’re extremely happy and grateful to you! About localization — we thought players might enjoy reading text in their own language~ So far we’ve only managed to add two languages, sorry for that, but we truly appreciate our players and hope to add more localizations in the future for everyone’s comfort! Once again, thank you so much!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-10T09:41:58Z

@adhvik - Thank you very much for your feedback and what, have you tried playing the game! We didn't have time to add training in the JAM version, we will definitely add it in the future, however, there is already a video in the description that helps to understand both the concept and the walkthrough of this version. We will be glad if we can please you again:) Good day!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-13T05:16:39Z

@zowell – Thank you so much for playing our game and for the kind words! Localization — yes, we realized how important it is, as it affects both the experience and the gameplay itself. Thank you again! We'll do our best to add a tutorial soon :)

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-13T05:17:03Z

@wisch – We’re truly grateful for your kind words about the graphics and gameplay :) We’ll do our best not to disappoint in the future and to release a continuation! Thank you so much for the review and for playing!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-13T05:17:37Z

@mamboman – Thank you so much for your feedback and for playing :) Yes, sound is definitely a key element — and we’ll make sure to add it! We’ll do our best to maintain that slightly creepy adventure atmosphere :)

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-13T05:18:03Z

@hdvr02 – We’re absolutely thrilled that you enjoyed it! Thank you so much!

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-13T05:18:18Z

@athospap – We hope you’ll be able to bring your idea to life in this genre too! My wife (ssomniss) and I love it dearly, and this jam was our chance to give it a try. Thank you so much, and best of luck to you as well :)

V.O.I.D — Voice Of Inner Depths by 2009yasha2009 2025-04-18T13:38:14Z

@johneyd - Hello :) Thank you so much for the feedback — it means a lot to see that the atmosphere and style resonated with you :) As for the ship controls — I think they’ll be expanded in the future, but we’ll see how it goes :) Regarding the HTML5 version — you’re absolutely right, we only just got around to compiling it... Finally on vacation from work :) So it’s now available in the header as well! And about hellroom — wow! That’s right, I really miss the old forum jams from AWG and Vendet :) But I’m so sorry, I can’t recognize you by your nickname... forgive me >.< Still, it’s incredibly heartwarming to see fellow hellroom folks (you!) here too :) Good luck you in gamedev and funny day's!

Scavenger Deep by hope42morrow 2025-04-08T10:58:41Z

The physics, graphics, surfaces, and overall atmosphere – there’s something about it... that really draws you in... like you're drifting along with the game's hero. I especially liked the boat physics. Considering this was made in GMS – extra respect for that :) You did a great job putting effort into such a promising gameplay concept! Thank you so much for developing and participating. Well done!

Continental Shelf by cassowary 2025-04-08T13:22:37Z

Oh, this is the game I got completely hooked on and played with great joy! It’s engaging, it’s cozy — it feels like a full-fledged game! Huge thanks to you for creating it! I would absolutely love to see it on mobile devices! Massive thanks once again! The music, the sounds, the visuals — it’s pure love :з

Depth.exe by Wargon 2025-04-08T02:35:01Z

What an incredibly cozy and... stunning? – visual style... especially at the start – the loading screen emulation :) You’re amazing! I’ll definitely try to play it >< I really love visuals with trees/checkpoints like that :)

Dataminers by bubblewandgames 2025-04-08T02:37:10Z

How colorful this is... And I love how the blocks fall – dynamic and beautiful? Like gravel/sand in Minecraft))) Great job! Good luck!

The OPERATOR by Tomtomgome 2025-04-08T09:13:16Z

Sorry, I haven’t played it yet, but I wanted to leave a comment so I don’t lose track of it. From the screenshots – it looks really beautiful and unique!!! Definitely adding it to my wishlist to play later :)

Scares on Schedule by python-b5 2025-04-08T02:42:06Z

Oh, it's been so long since I've seen graphics like this... I actually missed it >< Thank you for this approach and beauty – a very special kind of beauty! It turned out really stylish (in its own way) and unique :) Thank you!

Trench Diver by Hatherton 2025-04-08T02:14:31Z

Hmm... I definitely like how the character moves! There's something... elegant about it?

Ludum Dare 57 Depth Of A Phrase by Beebster Games 2025-04-08T02:31:08Z

Hmm... an ambiguous approach to exploring the theme... I like it :) Good luck!

Cutter of Grass by JonasO 2025-04-18T15:23:19Z

A very, very cute and cozy game :) To be honest, the controls were a bit frustrating at first, but once you get used to them — it’s a joy :) I loved how, in the end, the flowers come together to form a picture in different parts — that was really sweet :) And yes… the idea of conveying speed through sound (slowing down) — brilliant! Thank you for your game!

Hireblades by quasilyte 2025-04-08T12:56:05Z

For a strategy game – it's quite engaging, as you figure things out, you get drawn in :) Although not everything is obvious at times, maybe because I’m used to movement animations... but on the other hand, the way it looks now creates a unique atmosphere :) Thank you so much! Great job making such a strategy game!

Payback Pit by Alem26 2025-04-08T09:11:04Z

Hmm... this really reminds me of another game, also in 3D, but I just can’t remember the name... Still, this one looks quite interesting, especially with the mining and item interaction mechanics. I’ll try to explore it more and come back with a more detailed review. Either way – huge thanks for the game! Great job :)

The Depths of Darkwood: Drunkard's Survival by Icaka 2025-04-06T08:10:34Z

Wow! A roguelike in such a short time! It looks good. Happy development, I hope I get to play your game!

What the MEOW? by Snowf1ake 2025-04-08T09:08:32Z

Wow! Vocaloids and GUMI in the chat!!! I'm thrilled by the intro animation and the art >~< So cute! The idea is a bit creepy in the sense that I feel sorry for the kitty >.< But at the same time, the concept of 9 lives is wonderfully played out :) It seems... a bit hard to tell exactly when a collision happens… but that didn’t stop me from getting hooked on the game :) Especially since I have a soft spot for this kind of mechanic))) Thank you so much for the game and the lovely mood it gave me while playing!

Explorer of the depths by zowell 2025-04-13T07:38:10Z

Wow! When you start running away — it gets really tense... and that’s so cool! The fact that not everything is visible on the radar adds a special touch — and it’s awesome! Thank you for the game!

What the bag! by Mamboman 2025-04-09T17:01:25Z

Hmm... this game is definitely very cute :) The art style is absolutely lovely :) The controls felt a bit unfamiliar at first, but still manageable~ It turned out to be quite a cozy little game! The mechanic with hiding objects especially surprised and delighted me — thank you so much!

Work-Life Balance by sarellano 2025-04-06T08:09:18Z

This color palette looks very soft and pleasant! Good luck with the development:)

HellDigger – A Cozy Idle Game by sangheli 2025-04-08T09:24:38Z

Hmm... at the beginning, without the video, it was a bit hard to understand what was going on, but thank you so much for including it :) Yeah, the game is a farming sim, which seems to be an eternal genre where there's always room for improvement and trying new things. I liked the genre mix – building and, to some extent, a bit of mystery?))) Hard to say, but yes, it looks unique :) Thank you for your hard work!

The Depths, A Floppy Cat Adventure by KataStudios 2025-04-08T02:29:03Z

What a gorgeous caaaat!!! I'm in love with him >~<

It's madness, my dudes by Keys Presser 2025-04-08T12:39:37Z

The graphics are really cozy. The concept of frog-passengers – absolutely delightful! The controls... I think they just take a bit of getting used to :) It somewhat reminded me of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime. Wishing you lots of success in continuing the game and development! You’ve done a great job – it turned out really cool :)

Debt Miner by fungus mundus 2025-04-08T02:27:18Z

I can't stop yawning – the yawns in the game are just that contagious :) I reached depth 300 (if anyone hasn't gotten there yet – there's a draaaagon!!!) Overall, yeah, it would be awesome to expand the game and add more variety, and maybe... change the music (sorry ><)

harvest the valley :) by chloew 2025-04-08T01:12:22Z

It's quite a cozy game :) For some reason, I always get a red screen... but it's okay! The music is pleasant, and the wholesome farm mechanics + dialogues and messaging are really nice. Pretty cool, thank you!

Record Depth by Indiealesha 2025-04-08T10:49:29Z

Alyosha, Alyosha… I’ve seen a lot in the channel, of course, but actually playing it live – that’s a whole different experience :) I’m glad you’re taking part in jams, and please – don’t stop! You’re amazing))) As for the game… it carries a philosophical message about the depth of suffering and ambition! About support and the determination to never give up no matter what! (Consider that a bit of a cover-up :D) But seriously – a game made with feeling and humor is so much better than games made just for the sake of something else. There’s something... sincere in it? Something unusual and funny. Thank you :) And special thanks for your dev posts – you’re doing an awesome job!

Thallas by HDVR02 2025-04-14T03:33:56Z

Oh, the game definitely has atmosphere — that’s for sure! I think it’s largely thanks to the great sound design and lighting effects. The shark, constantly trying to strike the ship or eat the player, really adds a creepy and exciting touch! And the various medkits/heals... they really encourage you to leave the ship in search of bonuses :) I really enjoyed the game! I’d love to see more content in the future, of course — but all in good time :) For a jam game, it’s really well done! Thank you so much for the game and all your hard work!
