Loved the art. Good work!
Paid my debt! Nice little game, although gameplay-wise there was very little challenge. Perhaps this could be developed further with different ores and tools?
I felt that his would work great as a tapping mobile game that you tap on when you want that dopamine hit.
A simple and easy game since there is no lose condition. Expanding this would be quite easy, as now it still works at start with that hey im progressing game until you hit dimnishing returns.
The ui is little messy and hard to read but everything is there. Why did you have to put sleep button at middle! Arg is was so annyoing when i spammed smith and enchat and my brain tells me they should be next to each other but NO, the sleep is between them. Maybe it was an extra challenge.
It was nice of you to have an early "win condtion", but i decided to keep digging. Thank you for not making that be in vain since after some blast spamming i found the bottom :D .
I love games where you dig for treasure :) I couldn't figure out how much I owe or how to pay back my debt. I feel like there's a good puzzle somewhere in here to maximize use of digs/blasts per day to pay the debt back in time, or before interest rises on it or something. But I couldn't quite figure out what's pressuring me to get as much done per day as possible.
The art style and simple sound effects remind me of old DOS games, in the best way. Immaculate vibes. Like the others said, some challenge would've been a great addition, but as it is it is still a great for a first jam entry!
The fact that the smith and enchant powerups **consume** space in your tunnels was really clever! I don't think I've ever seen that particular game mechanic in any dig-style game before. Also, the scrappy "X" art for the button to close the tutorial modal was HILARIOUS
Nice work! I feel like I can play this game endlessly!
Love digging games, I got to depth 500
I can't stop yawning – the yawns in the game are just that contagious :) I reached depth 300 (if anyone hasn't gotten there yet – there's a draaaagon!!!) Overall, yeah, it would be awesome to expand the game and add more variety, and maybe... change the music (sorry ><)
Good entry! I paid my debt to the goblin.
I found myself optimizing when to explode an area to hit the most ores in order to avoid using my limited digs. Having more tools like this could be an interesting way to make the player think more about how they mine the field.
I'm not sure I've reached the end of the game. It seems like there's more game field below, but I can't expand the window large enough to see the bottom.
I like the little goblin.
you could have added an endgame
I made it so far and I am now debt free. My student loans have been paid and creditors are no longer calling me all day! Seriously, it was a really fun game and I would play again.
Really great game. Feels like I'm playing minesweeper but 1000x more satisfying, hahaha. I really like how creating upgrades shows a visible "tool" in the mineshaft; it's a really nice touch imo. Maybe now that I've paid Dheetz he'll finally get off his ass and help me down here...
Lots of sleeping, lots of mining! Pretty good for 48hrs!
Its a pretty solid game, it would be cool if there ware some challenge, like having to get to a certain amount of minerals within a certain amount of days, but regardless, its a good entry.
Kinda repetitive game but it's fun nonetheless.
Got to the bottom of it ! I like the music slowing down all the way through hahaha. Nice and addictive little game, maybe other upgrade would have been a good idea to keep the gameplay less repetitive. Good job =)
Looks like we had a very similar idea haha!
I really like the concept, but was missing a clear goal to work towards, like "go 1000 tiles deep" or "collect 100 gems", and a reward for it - bigger explosives, the ability to dig in multiple tiles in a straight line with a single click instead of one by one, something like that. Just continuously digging / exploding straight down gets boring and repetetive quickly.
The sleep mechanic felt a bit underwhelming, as it is just one more click to continue digging. This could be improved by something changing over night - tunnels collapsing, enemies spawning or ores moving somehow.
I payed Dheetz and now i am free!
What a nice quirky game, i like the concept and would love to see it expanded. It's a little bit repetitive but fun.
