Fantastic work! I did not want to stop playing. A++
cool game
Nice little game, i struggled to understand how to play it but once i got it, it became quite fun =)
My best score is 252. My arm hurts. My new favourite from the Jam. I think its quite a genius game design. The worst thing is definitely the movement: make it smooth or at least make it not instant, (like slow is probably even better). Right now the optimal style of play is to fkn kill your wrist tapping 15 times a second. Also I think easy way to add depth would be to implement pushing of blocks by blocks. Then you can plan maybe how to complete tasks remotely and block shape becomes really important. I stopped by your page looking for your other work, but I guess you haven't heard of it.
The controls are awful, I was clicking way to much to just move, and rotating seemed just an obstacle. Controls must be rethought in general. It was very much not obvious how do the new items appear, and it doesn't fit too much with the concept. Also couldn't catch depth feeling at all. However, giving much time and thinking, this could become something interesting.
@heiden-bzr I do agree that the controls are a bit painful, I would like to add the use of a controller to the game, as I think it will be a bit more painless, rotating was intended to be an obstacle to give the game a bit more of a manic feeling. I might also have spent too much time playing DROD. I had planned the theme to be a bit more of a "Dumpster Dive" but as the game took shape, it moved away from that theme to what you see here.
@oddmes Great Score! I do want to implement holding the button to move, which I think will definitely help everyone's arms. I hadn't really thought about shoving blocks to move other blocks, I may have to consider that for a later change. The biggest reason for not adding animations was that the timer is so strict anyways, taking the time for animation would slow the manic feel of the game. I may need to consider it, just to save folks some pain in the future.
This is really solid! Even without audio or polished graphics, I had a lot of fun with this. I'm not very _good_ at it, but it didn't feel unfair to me. Some more feedback might be nice, as well as more clarification on how the scoring works. At a certain point (once the timer got very low), I started being quite generous with what I considered a "match", and almost everything seemed to at least give me a small amount of time. More of an in-game tutorial might be a nice thing to add post-jam. Good work on this, though!
I got a score of 80!!! It's a real challenge but super fun and interesting way of interpreting the theme. This is by far one of my favorites so far :)
Nice!! I hit a hundred before my hand muscles told me to stop.
You're missing some basics like sound, but it kind of doesn't matter. Or maybe it does and the game would have been just that much more intense. But I loved the initial confusion, the OHHHH I SEE, and then the frantic ferrying, and of course best of all the GADDAMIT why did I do that to myself??!
Small scope that hits hard - that's the way to jam. Nicely done.
How the heck do people get over 100 points?? The moment it clicked for me what the gameplay was, I laughed. My god my arm hurts from playing this game, and as an extremely unorganized person, this game is very relatable. I think with some goofy music and sound feedback your game will feel even more chaoticly fun. In any case I enjoyed it a lot! Well done!boxes.png
Nice
Very cool and unique little game! It took me a while to understand the gameplay so some sort of in-game tutorial or a more detailed jam page would be nice. Once I finally understood what I had to do it was quite fun!
Good idea & nice gameplay.
How do you guys get it so high, making me look like an idiot. This game is wearing out my arms too much. But I like it. It's very good.
So stressful but engaging! My score got boosted when I starting entering the wrong ones on purpose to gain time. High score of 108!
I love a puzzle+action game like this. It took me a few tries to understand that you don't need to match the piece in the speech bubble exactly, but once I got the hang of it, I had a lot of fun. Good job!
Cool mechanic, really fun to play. Though feels like you got to be fast and lucky to succeed, in other words highly dependent on how good blocks you are going to get. I wish I, as a player, have some tools to manage this randomness a bit, maybe break big blocks into smaller ones to hand craft perfect block. Title gives a good hint on how to play, cause at first I tried just pushing every container straight from left to right xD Great job!
The overall graphical style felt really lighthearted and fun, I think with some additional types of "junk" and quirky audio bits, this would really shine. Overall, very addictive and fun jam entry! Great work homie!
Great gameplay and innovation! I loved the feeling of solving puzzles while my arm is moving as fast as i can.
Heh, 316 score, that was rough. I can't see depths right away but I feel like I had to dig through cases after stacking so many of them. Anyways, nice simple yet hard to master game. I never thought this simple game could be so hard to master.
I have just updated the controls to now allow for controller use. Additionally, you may now hold down movement keys to move, no more killing your arms and wrists to play! Just use the 1.1 file. Thanks!
