The UI keeps disappearing, and for some reason, the buttons don’t work in fullscreen mode.

Simple yet nice game with lots of opportunities for more content. The camera worked exactly opposite of what i expected and i could look under the map.

A very interesting AI character system!

A very simple game, but I am impressed by the engine you wrote yourself. The web version apparently throws a javascript error on my system, but the game works

well -- even tho not much of it works i was actually impressed that you got the start of an actual rts started -- just the fact that you can spawn workers and they can take orders is great! -- nice job

Neat concept, and really impressive work for a custom engine, especially given it runs in-browser as well! That said, I wish the pathing AI was a bit smarter - I kept having to babysit my miners as they'd try to toddle through walls on their way back to the shaft. Also, it was hard to tell at times if I was actually ordering my miners to do things, or whether they just do their own thing: sometimes my miners would mine at a different location from where I clicked, and sometimes they'd even run off in the other direction and attack an entirely different rock face!

I had both fun and frustration with directing the workers, so smart but also so dumb. It would be nice if there was some more direct feedback about the health of the workers or a noise when they were attacked. Great work, and making your own game engine is a lot of work really impressive.

I took me a while to understand the controlls (I'm still not sure I can properly control the characters) and some spiders where not attacking, then all of a sudden in another floor they where lethal. Nevertheless it's a good concept and with more time I'm sure it can be really addicting. Good job!

Very cool concept, and impressive work with the self-made engine. Commanding the units was not too complex, which was nice, although there was a lot of occasional waiting around. The graphics had a certain cool nostalgic feel, but the repeated ground and wall texture was especially a bit too busy (high contrast), making it more difficult to see everything else. Other than that, very good work!

A cool base for a really nice game, if this gets a little more polish and content, i think it would be very fun

being a guy that likes to program engines and systems, seeing a game made in a c++ custom made engine that runs on web in a jam amazes me, incredible job with that (also 3D!). Does the engine include things like AI for agents or is it more of a graphics engine?

The problems: the mouse input is off while on fullscreen and it could have a little more feedback while doing things. For example, selecting which unit you are comanding, and maybe swaping that selection with the tab key.

Went to the second floor with too many workers and not a single soldier and had trouble with the first ant haha had to reset.

In short: nice job!

There is a lot of potential, loved the idea and the mood! Pretty impressive that you made your custom engine! Great job!

mibi88 2025-04-14 12:29

Really impressive game, interesting idea.

fingolfin 2025-04-14 12:33

Great starting point. The concept is solid, the mood works, and the fact that it runs in a custom C++ engine in the browser is seriously impressive.

There are some bugs. Workers are brilliant but chaotic—but even so, it’s fun and leaves you wanting more.

Polish it up a bit and add some balance and you’ve got something nice here.

alex-mironchuk 2025-04-14 12:52

It's a very cool idea, but you need to work a lot on management and UI.

atsh 2025-04-15 13:20

Like other said, the fact that it runs on C++ is bonkers. I really liked to see strategy game in a jam - remind me very much of dungeon keeper. I also liked the sound design

I felt the control and design was not necessarily balanced as I would like - miners dig through non gold dirt when they shouldn't, and it's also very easy to have total party kill without realizing - maybe missing some indication you're attacked

Overral, very ambious project, well done

chuckiee 2025-04-20 16:22

Very nice entry for jam! I think there should be some criteria for you to be able to press Next Floor button. Also probably good idea to have miners with gold ignore collisions with each other so they can drop the gold faster and not make me mad  Very nice strategy entry!

PS: Max Zoom in, Press both mouse buttons to enter rave mode :D

Nice managing game! I liked upgrading the units and mining the resources, avoiding spiders. Though, eventually I died because I had no way to kill the spiders!Screenshot 2025-04-23 141701.png

Really fun gameloop! Similar gritty vibes I was going for - sort of dark colours with a lot of black and low lighting. The animations were perfect xD Maybe it would have been cool to add rarer minerals in the later levels. There were a couple of bugs like sometimes the miner didn't mine what I wanted and using the middle mouse button caused movement to get stuck in the browser.
