Very fun game! Loved the intro and the music, audio is top tier quality! Had some problems with the FPS drops, but I guess that is because of my computer
Haha really enjoyed playing this game.
I didn't realize there were monster spawners and I was forced to stock up a ton of ammo by waiting on the ammo spot. Didn't manage to finish the 3rd level.
But the atmosphere is amazing! My major complaint is having to spam the mouse button :)
This game is very good music, graphics, audio, gameplay this game is fire
Classic doom vibe! Music, sound design and the whole atmosphere is enjoyable, couldn't get far because of lacking ammos. Maybe it lacks of some balance at this point for smoother progression. Funny intro :)
Awesome game! The level design and graphics are great and really harness the mood of Doom. Two things I found frustrating was not being able to skip the beginning text (which was annoying because I accidentally pressed escape one time), and that you can't just hold down fire to shoot, but with those two changes I think this game is really great.
Also I think it might be nice to have an indication or animation when enemies are hurting you, as currently it is hard to tell where the enemy that is hurting you is.
If yall would like please check out the game my team made, as we also went for a retro shooter vibe, though we stuck around half life and metal gear for ours: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/54/rogue-rails-fractured-cargo
Overall tight classic styled FPS, specially in the context of a jam. My biggest "complaint" is that the theme wasn't used to try to get out of the classic formula of the genre, which could have been interesting.
Cool game! I restarted a couple of times and ended up having a fun time just dodging the enemies instead of fighting them. I like my little goose guy. I think the effect of bullets hitting the wall is much more noticeable dramatic than the sprite changes when you hit the enemies. I agree with the point @phillips-albright made that an effect when you get hurt would be helpful. Cool goose game!!
Found the mouse sensitivity to be a little high, but still a fun game!
Wow, that's a big team! I can imagine that needs some structured coordination. The game is really fun to play! I couldn't really see the theme, but the fun gameplay made up for it :) Well done!
I liked the game and it’s interesting, keep it up
game is interesting, keep going
This is awesome!!! One of the coolest shooter in this jam!
Interesting!
Nice retro-shooter
Ah yes I’m 14 again and can play doom for the first time. Thank you for a trip down memory lane. Well executed game! And 20 ratings now Gratz!
Your game has brought me back far into the past! I had a nice time playing this game. In my opinion, the sensitivity of the mouse is better to do less.
This game is hilarious and awesome, definitely worth the download. Love the opening sequence as well
The game's finish is incredible, and the atmosphere works really well. It's been a long time since I've played a doom like :D
A very funny boomer shooter with great grathics.
The download size is a bit discouraging, but it's not that big either. Watching the video helped convince me. But it's a shame, my Windows is Windows 7 and it's giving errors in most games made with Unreal, it keeps asking for DLLs, etc. I would have liked to have played.
Really good job at nailing the retro-shooter vibe with updated graphics. Any time I try to revisit some of those old games I find myself getting frustrated with the controls being more difficult than I remembered - but this game controls how I (incorrectly) remember them controlling. A much more enjoyable experience. I ended up getting cornered by an enemy and couldn't jump past them and was shooting right through them, but other than that I had fun.
Very doom-like. I didn't really see how the theme was applied, though.
DOOM...but still a fun game for diversity.)
Took me a few tries to get to the third level. Didn't manage to beat it. The intro was pretty funny! Sensitivity settings would be great. Lucking my mouse is pretty easy to adjust on the fly. Didn't quite get a feeling for the theme. Other than maybe.. narrow hallways + big monsters = limited Space? Lol fun game though!
